Another outstanding trip to this Sniffspot! We had such a blast — spent the hour looping around the trails and I love that Rieka is familiar with the trails so she is more at ease. Chrissy and Brent are the most generous, kind hosts of what is probably the best sniff spot in Michigan! They were accommodating and helpful to us for the Birthday Paw-Ty we hosted for 8 of Trygve’s local friends. We had folks drive as far as an hour and a half to get there, and Brent and Chrissy offered an experience that did not disappoint! We had no problem exploring the trails as a big crew, with beverages in our hands, watching the dogs explore and be themselves in nature. The added peace of mind that comes from going to a fenced in large forest like this was a necessary bonus as well, as many of Trygve’s friends are not off leash trained and normally would not be able to partake in a forest adventure! We had a BLAST and could not recommend this place more for either a special dogs day out, or even a paw-ty! Tell them Trygve sent you!!!!!

Our first time at Happy Trails and what a wonderful experience! We have three dogs, one who is almost entirely blind so it’s been difficult to let her off leash. Today for the first time she was able to run and play with her brother and sister without us having to worry she would get lost or hurt. All ran, played and swam their little hearts out. We will definitely be booking again soon.

Amazingly nice and informative people. The property was so pretty and fencing was good! They even left our bodhi a suprise since it was his birthday!

55First, I would like to give some context about our dogs. We have two high energy Malinois who love working as Search dogs. When off duty, they run off-leash in multiple acres with their dog friends at Day Care. They enjoy a lot of daily enrichment, so I expected to just play ball with them to burn off energy. But, they did not care about their beloved ball. They joyfully ran these acres and swam in the pond while keeping an eye on our location. This was clearly the best hour of their lives. With all we have experienced with them, I have never seen them happier. We loved the safety and feeling of freedom. I’m very particular about environments and experiences with my dogs. I never worried for a second here. It was also so helpful to watch how our younger dog would behave while feeling she was completely free. This gave me even more confidence in her. This is also a great place to work on recall with your dog. I told my husband that this was the best hour of our lives. He questioned whether it was better than our wedding. I had to say that it probably was! This place is heaven and the hosts are incredibly sweet and helpful. The property is absolutely beautiful. The listing said it is a destination, and that is true. I can’t imagine a better place to enjoy with our dogs. Honestly, I would pay a lot more for this experience. First, I would like to give some context about our dogs. We have two high energy Malinois who love working as Search dogs. I wanted a securely fenced large open space to test out my dog's recall, this was perfect! (she passed! recall 100%!! how thrilling!) Brent & Chrissy are super helpful, they answered all my many questions! I wish I lived closer, I'd definitely join up for a monthly pass!! It's a beautiful place for a hike, even tho it poured rain!

Beautiful property, extremely thoughtful and kind hosts (seriously, they’ve thought of everything!), and a secure fence. It was such a relief to be able to explore in nature and feel confident that Mabel was safe. Mabel had a blast sniffing around in the forest. We even did a little parkour on some of the benches and practiced her training. Toward the end, she started trying to chase some woodland creatures 🤦🏻‍♀️ so we put her on the long line just to be safe (we only recently adopted her and her recall isn’t reliable yet) and so we weren’t as disruptive to the environment. She left completely exhausted and has been napping happily ever since we came home. We’ll definitely be back! This magical place was well worth the drive. Thanks again for hosting us, Brent!

This is a fantastic place to bring our pups! My sister visiting from Chicago brought her two dogs in addition to my two. Christine was so incredibly welcoming and this location had everything you’d ever need. Baths, treats, bags, watering station and so much more. This is a beautiful property that is a great time for our dog and a nice peaceful hike for ourselves as well. They fit a good amount of trails on 10 acres and the pond was a highlight for our dog who loves the water.
