55This sniffspot had great shady trails, and we appreciated the map, water and hose at the parking spot. Definitely bring some water with you on the trails as well since they are quite extensive. Imee T.

55Awesome spot! Our pup had a great time sniffing everything. We spent a couple of hours here and did a couple of loops around with lots of sniff breaks. We could hear dogs in the distance a couple of times, but far enough away that our dog wasn’t bothered. We will definitely be back! I would recommend bug spray and long pants.Lara M.

55This hiking spot was beautiful and secluded. A perfect short hike for me and my pup. We looped around the property several times in one hour. We heard voices of walkers on the tolt pipeline trail but saw no people. We also heard a lot of gunshots while we were there, presumably from a neighboring property.Annie M.

55Nice trails to walk four dogs on leash and not have to worry about passing other dogs and people on a narrow trail. Trails were dry during our visit, just had mosquitos and spider webs as expected. Host provided a good map of the trails at the entrance.Matt W.

55A great spot to get that off-leash, out in nature kind of feeling! And with a lovely, gracious host!
We were able to hear dogs barking nearby, we did not see any though.Karli L.

55This was a great place for my dogs to let off some city energy! Luckily my reactive dog was tired out by the time the neighbor dogs started barking so she didn’t react too badly. The No Trespassing signs did make us a little nervous that we weren’t in the right place but the sniff spot sign was helpful!Makenna W.

55A nice network of trails through cool forest. spent almost an hour just traversing the perimeter. Easy walking. Advise closed shoes due to some brambles. Not for big open space ball chases.Simon K.

55We had a wonderful quiet walk on a sunny day. We didn't hear any other dogs, even near the pipeline, and just saw one bicycle on the pipeline trail at a distance through the trees. The trails were easy to follow. In an hour and a half we were able to do one and a half loops at a moderate pace. Being late summer there are lots of blackberries, humans will probably want sturdy shoes and maybe long pants for protection. I carried my Sheltie briefly couple times to cross spots where the vines had grown over the trail since he has sensitive feet. The Toller didn't care and crossed those spots easily.Elizabeth S.

55Had a great time! If your dog doesn’t have 100% recall you might want to use a long-line here, as a few of the trails lead close to the road and it’s not fenced. Michelle R.

55Our dog loved running through the trails. It was raining but there was enough cover from the trees to stay comfortable. We found the pipeline trail but we could not find the creek. Also, it's a little hard to see the house number from the street and to know if it's the correct driveway. Once you get through the gate though, the instructions were perfect. Deborah C.

55This is probably my new favorite sniffspot. Great for taking my reactive puppy to practice trail walking on a long line without having to worry about running into other dogs. We will very likely be planning to come back for more trail walking fun! Cyrah K.

55My friend and I brought our reactive dogs here, and they both loved it! The trails were so much fun for them to run around on. The Tolt Pipeline Trail is visible a few places on the trail--and there is no fence between the property and the trail--so be aware of that if you have a dog that might want to run out there. Sara E.

FAQ about our North Bend dog hiking trails
Are dog hiking trails safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, inattentive owners, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks are much safer than a city or county park. With a Sniffspot off-leash area all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 93% of reviews on Sniffspot visits are 5 stars. Our hiking trails tend to be outside the city, which lends to more privacy, but it is also important to follow typical hiking safety precautions, such as potentially having trail maps.
How do I know if a dog hiking trail works for my dog?
Sniffspot provides the tools to find the ideal spot. Start by applying basic filters, such as fencing 6 feet tall and distractions, to find a dog park with trails that works for your dog. You can also filter by size if you are looking for a certain acre park, an expansive off-leash dog park. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our fully fenced dog hiking trails. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our dog hiking trails where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. Since you are looking for trails, make sure to check photos to see if it the spot has flat trails or gnarly trails. You can also browse by specific amenities, if you are looking for a view or a beach, for instance, or other activities or fun features. You can check whether the spot has off or on street parking, the regular park hours, whether it has paved trails or a modern restroom.
What are the requirements to bring my dog to a Sniffspot dog hiking trail?
In order to hike the trails, we require that all dogs have basic vaccinations or equivalent titers. We do not permit dogs with a bite history. We require that guests sign our waiver and agree to follow our safety rules.
Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot hiking trail at the same time as me?
Sniffspot only allows one booking at a time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the spot during visits. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between bookings.
