55This is the kind of backyard that gives pups enough room to get some speed under their paws and also nooks and crannies to explore. My boys love to run behind rows of shrubs or dense brush. There is also a shed as a locus of play, and a sweet little garden that isn't so preciously composed that you'd feel it was off-limits to dogs. Same with the patio furniture. It's clear the dogs are welcome to jump up and take a break on the sofas and chairs. I had to bring my own water bowl because my boys are on medication for a possible cough. They don't play with toys much, but it's worth mentioning there was a basketful. The smell of citronella on the property suggests a low flea and tick count. But the real charm was getting a text message from the host inviting me to use the pile of firewood in the standing fire pit. Definitely coming back when it's chilly outside. I wasn't sure whether to deposit the poop bags in what looked like a landscaping bin, so I walked around the front and used the garbage can next to the house.Roxane A.
