Buster is a 16 year-old dog who has essentially enjoyed this property with family dogs his entire life. He is the last one and we are at an age now where we probably won't be getting another dog; so, we want others to enjoy the land. Feel free to use the wash stall inside the barn (hot water and hoses are yours to use), there is also an outdoor fountain, water trough and plenty of electric outlets.

Country Chic dog park is adjacent to pet friendly 5 star rated Country Chic B&B! This property boasts breathtaking views, natural AND maintained spaces to run, play and take in all that Country fresh air! Fur parents may help themselves to a camp fire when available, and farm fresh eggs from our hens. Fur babies will have plenty of wild small critters to sniff out and chase around our 5 acres. I have 5 acres of meadow with trails cut through it. Behind my property is a private, seasonal road that I don’t own. I have a tiny house on wheels that I live it year round. I will have water set up. I do have a pond in my property that can be used. There are tons of apples to be had as well as berries in season. I have patio furniture set up for sitting.

Come enjoy our 1.5 acre property! The property is partially fenced. The property is completely fenced across the front of the home, parallel to the road. It sits on. The property is then fenced on one side of the yard by a wooden fence and trees, but not fully enclosed at the back. The other side of the property is not fenced, but has a very dense tree wine that offers security. the final border of the property is a stream. The stream is wonderful for splashing in and running in, drinking from, and being partially submerged in. The water level does very throughout the year, I have not lived on the property long, but I have personally seen the stream go dry in extreme heat for a few days, as well as being deep enough for a small dog to get swept down it. Probably 50% of the property is lawn, 30% wood, and about 20% tall grass/wetter area/muddy areas which your dog is welcome to dig in. We have off street parking, trash cans, and a hose available for drinking or rinsing your dog.

Dog Park backs up against a wooded area. Lot of space for you to play with your furbies and let them run free. Watering hose and bowls available on site. Seating available so you can rest while your dog runs. Fencing coming soon to allow more freedom for your dogs.

NOTE: ON HOLD UNTIL DEC 9 ( DUE TO HUNTING SEASON) Greetings! Our land is a mix of flat grass (think lawn), some long/short pasture, and the majority being heavy wooded forest area. You will enjoy some rustic logging trails up there (but please don’t expect a perfect state park-type path). The terrain can be steep to climb to the top depending on your skill level. Once you are at the “top” of the hill, there is “flat” land that you can hike (I’ve even jogged up there - slowly!). For those of you that like a challenge, besides our two pathways up the hill, we offer a very steep side of the hill to climb. One of the photos shows water – that is the case if there is a heavy rain (likely September/October) but please know we don’t always have a running stream. We do offer a hose and bucket to rinse your dog’s feet at the end of the stay. The photos with the leaves are from last year – this is what the property looks like in autumn. November starts getting cold. December will bring snow with some plowed areas. For winter, you and your dog can frolic in the snow and we can provide you with towels, wipes, whatever you may need to "clean off" before getting back in the car. With advance notice, we can provide coffee, tea, or cocoa. For accessibility: if you use a wheelchair, you can drive your car onto the land and use the flat part of the land if you can access grassy lawn. If there is interest, I can take your friendly dog up the hill to run around for a nominal fee. We are new to this so please ask questions. Consider this spot “forever wild” woods. It is incredibly calm and peaceful up on the hill. You can quietly listen to the woods or bring a radio and sing to your dog loudly. If you are not a climber, even playing fetch behind the barn is nice. Note: inside the barn is off limits. This is a working property and there are tools, tractors, and such that are not good for any animals. Please Remember: there are no fences and we have a state highway in front of our property. All the area that you would use would be set back an appropriate distance, but I want to be clear for everyone sake that there are no fences. If your dog does not come back when called, perhaps this spot isn’t the best for any off-leash activity. Wild Animals: There are deer in the woods (and some dogs love to chase deer!) so please keep that in mind as well. We have also seen rabbits and an occasional skunk, raccoon, fox, groundhogs, and even a porcupine once. We hear coyote sometimes but I have not seen any on our land. Central New York has been known to house bobcats, mountain lions, and bears among others, but I have yet to see them on our land as well. We do see bald eagles on occasion. Lastly, your reservation is for 90 minutes to allow for time to truly enjoy nature.
