55Great spot to bring your dogs! My guy is very shy and anxious so regular dog parks are out for us. This was a perfect option to take them someplace besides our yard so they could explore and run around and I didn't have to worry about off leash dogs running up to us. I thought he'd go in the pond but he wasn't interested. Maybe when it's warmer. Hopefully we can make it back before the weather gets bad. Thank you!JEN F.

55What a great sniff spot! It’s the perfect size for running and playing 🐾 The dogs had soo much fun and parking was nice and easy. I loved how there were extra poop bags on the fence in multiple spots in case you need.
If I was to be super critique-y I wish there was a little fence around the shed area because the dogs kept wanting to go and smell where there were items. Also there was a spot (maybe a pollinator garden) with tall grasses and flowers where they kept wanting to go so we checked the dogs for ticks just in case.
5/5 would (probably will) come again 🐶Marisa H.

55Wonderfully large, expansive, fenced yard. My pups had a great time and were even rolling around on the lawn. The yard is clean. When it's sunny and hot, there are shaded tree areas to keep cool. Also, there is a big bowl for fresh water for the dogs. Cynthia C.

FAQ about our Painesville dog parks
Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 97% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the Painesville area are 5 stars.
