551. The host is excellent. We were a little early and Robyn let us come in. She provided an easy set of entry instructions and was so pleasant
2. The sniffspot is a great. It's a one acre, fenced field that is very well maintained. It provides a large open space for ball obsessed dogs to run. It also has a shed, trees and a compost pile that provides great sniffing opportunities for any dog. And hosts provide a bucket of drinking water and a pool, for dogs inclined to plop down to cool off.
Definitely got to this sniffapot.Debbie B.

55Great spot for practicing off leash with our puppy. He loved rolling in the grass and romping. There was fresh water and a few toys, everything we needed. The small gap in fence mentioned in other reviews wasn’t a problem for us. It is not noticeable or particularly interesting and up a rise.Anna M.

55This is a great, private spot that my dog loves. If you have a small dog or escape artist there are three gaps in the fencing that are covered with a plastic mesh but I check it each time because it’s usually been misplaced by wind and not covering the hole.Liz H.

55The yard was great for my dog who loves to sniff around in the bushes. The only issue was the fence gate was very difficult to open. Other than that, it was a great spot! Kymber S.

55Great spot in the city with enough room to romp and sniff. Only nitpick was we struggled to get the gate to latch shut but it did remain closed during our time. Will be back!Dan W.

55Beautiful and spacious backyard, very well maintained. The host (Sue) even had several tennis balls in the backyard and a dog water bowl. The faucet wasn't working when we went, but it wasn't an issue because we brought our own water. Many thanks to Sue and Sniffspot, our dog now gets to have a safe space for a playdate. We're very grateful, thank you. Helen L.

55Great fenced yard for a romp with two big Bernese Mt Dogs. Nicely fenced and lots of grass. After an hour of constant play the dogs were still pretty clean. The only minor issue was we were expecting water so we didn’t bring our own. We couldn’t get the outdoor faucet to work. The host left a nice big clean bowl but no source of water. The hose bib may have been turned off for the winter. Other than that we highly recommend. Heather L.

55My dog Ronin and I had a great time playing ball in this beautiful and quiet back yard.
It was stocked with water bowl, plastic bags and toys, though we brought our own.
Even for a larger dog such as my Belgian Malinois the size of the back yard, which is fully and securely fenced, was totally adequate for throwing a ball and other games.
For us it was super, as I am still recovering from some serious health issues and do not have a lot of energy.
Convenient because close to where we live, perfect because I could sit on a nice deck chair in the sun while bouncing a tennis ball with my chuck it for RoRo to catch.
Can highly recommend!Anna K.

FAQ about our Quilcene dog parks
Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 97% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the Quilcene area are 5 stars.
How do I know if a dog park works for my dog?
You can filter Sniffspot dog parks by fencing and distractions. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our 334 fully fenced dog parks in the area. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our 44 off leash areas where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can also filter locations to avoid other domestic animals and people. We also recommend reading reviews and reaching out to the host with any questions.
