Welcome to the POTSDAM COMMUNITY DOG PARK
RULES
1. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK - Owners 'handlers are responsible for injuries or damage caused by themselves or their dogs. The Potsdam Community Dog Park, Potsdam Humane Society. and Village or Town of Potsdam will not be Sable for any injury or damage caused by any dog or person in the park or on the premises.
2. Aggressive, fearful, or under socialized dogs not permitted. Dogs exhibiting aggressive behavior must be immediately removed and cannot return. Cooperate with other dog owners and use good judgement.
3. Sick dogs not permitted. Dogs who are vomiting or have diarrhea may not enter the park.
4. Maximum of 2 dogs per person. All dogs must be spayed or neutered and at least 4 months old.
5. No pets other than dogs allowed.
6. Dogs must be on leash outside of the fenced area.
7. Only flat collar or harness permitted. Choke. prong (pinch), or spike collars not permitted and shock collars not recommended.
8. Bags and waste stations are provided for immediate cleanup. If you don't find your dog's waste, please leave a donation.
9. No unattended dogs. Handlers must be in the park closely supervising their dogs at all times with leash readily available.
10. Handlers must be at least 16 years old. Children ages 12-15 must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times in the fenced area. Children under 12 are not permitted. For their own safety. children should not run. tease, or chase dogs.
11. Dogs must have visible ID tags, license, and current required vaccinations: rabies and DHLP. Strongly recommended: flea, tick, and heartworm preventatives.
12. Dog toys and treats are highly discouraged to avoid conflicts.
13. Bicycles, skateboards, children's toys, tobacco, food, alcohol, drugs. and glass containers not permitted.
14. No trespassing after dark. Violators will be prosecuted.
15. You must sign in at each visit as acknowledgement of these rules. Please also sign out.
Violators of these rules will be asked to leave. Persistent violators may be banned from future use of the park. Persons failing to adhere to the ban may be charged with trespassing.
Let's keep the park clean. safe, and friendly. Please be respectful of all dogs and humans, become educated about dog behavior, and use trash receptacles. Please report any damages to the email contact below.
The Dog Park is a non-profit organization. Donations are gratefully accepted and tax-deductible.
