The swimming hole was great! Tammy was available by phone when I wasn't quite sure where the trailhead was. Her directions in the reservation are very accurate. Turns out, I just didn't read them carefully enough, so I didn't drive far enough. The spot itself is as avertised. It's rustic and secluded, and there's a large wooden deck with two chairs, which could accommodate a much larger group than just myself. I didn't use the fire pit, but that's a nice option for next time. The swimming hole is large enough for my Golden Retriever to swim around in and play water fetch with a ball. The water felt really cold, so I didn't go all the way in, but it would be great for really hot days. Still perfect for my Golden Retriever so he didn't overheat while playing so much. My feet aren't used to walking on rocks, so I wore some flip flops into the water. The only cons, which no one has control over, are the loud motorcycles that pass by on the nearby road and the prickly seeds that got tangled in the hair of my other dog, who must have walked through some brush. Took me an hour to pick them all out when I got home. =/ I definitely plan to return with some friends from my dog park and do more of a picnic plus doggy playtime.

First visit with my Frenchie! It's such a blissful spot. A mini "mountain" trail for her little legs. Parking directions were very easy to follow. Short downhill trail that was steep at some parts. The new wood railing was a big help walking to the platform. Pup did great walking up and down the trail. Some soft spots, best to stay on the trail. The water was too cold to swim in. Some rocks were slippery. Area a little wet from morning sprinkles, so bring a towel or chair to sit on. The running creek drowns out the passing cars. Quite a few cyclists on the road, too, so remember to Share the Love (road)! Love to visit this hideaway again!

This spot was super easy to find, and the walk down was short. My dogs had a BLAST!!! I will definitely be back. The area is very secluded although it's right off the road. Very very private and peaceful. My dogs Max and Topper ran until they got tired. They enjoyed the water. I also loved that the area was very shaded. If you haven't yet, check this spot out (:

Amazing spot! Peaceful and self contained. Very clean. Thoughtful amenities such as chairs, fire/bbq pit, and a railing on the steep parts of the hike down. Swimming hole was deep enough in some parts that’s our Shepherd got some good swimming in. We will be back!

This Sniffspot is a beautiful hidden oasis. There was so much to explore my pup, Charli never once was bored and had an amazing time running around, swimming in the deeper parts of the creek and running through the more shallow areas of water. Would be a great place to bring a picnic lunch and just enjoy nature. The host left great directions just follow them exactly as listed and watch your odometer. The host was also extremely helpful, attentive and pleasant to speak with. Will definitely be back!🐶❤️

This hidden spot is beautiful and very serene. After exploring for a couple minutes, my dog relaxed and had zoomies all over the place. He looked like a puppy again. I haven’t seen him this happy in a long time. It was a break for my anxiety as well; neither of us had to worry about people or dogs ambushing us. We stayed for 2 hours and were left alone the entire time. I’m so thankful for this spot and will be coming back in the future!

Great spot for your dog to play in/around the stream. This my dog’s first time getting acquainted going into water comfortable on her own. Well worth it. It was pretty easy to find by cross referencing street view images to the ones posted in the listing and dropping a pin to route directly to it. As the listing suggests, the hike down to the area is somewhat steep with areas of unstable footing. It’s not an issue if you’re an avid hiker or in decent shape but should be considered if you or anyone in your party has mobility issues.

Our first experience with SniffSpot and we were completely delighted with our choice!! The perfect place to relax with your family and puppy!! Beautiful woodland surroundings, lush and serene with lots of cool exploring for dogs and kids alike. We particularly loved the babbling creek if your pups love water they may happily splash or swim. Loved the fire pit with plenty of wood and branches provided - even a fire starter as we left our matches at home. Thank you to Tammy for this stunning location!!

Great little hidden Gem. My dog loved it very clean. It’s kinda steep going down but it’s short distance and there’s a rail to hold on to. Beautiful stream my dog was in sniffing heaven

Paradise. We didn't expect it would be so nice, based on the parking location on a dirt shoulder. But only a few yards after the start of the trail, we dropped out of view of the road, and after a few minutes on the shady trail, the oasis came into view. One suggestion... if you plan to use the fire pit, you may want to bring your own lighter, because the lighter next to the fire pit stopped working for us.

Had a great time. Prepare to get wet feet and bring extra socks and shoes. It was a nice little walk down the stream. The listing made it seem like it would hard to find but it really wasn’t. Water is relatively safe and clean. No algae present at all which is a win for any natural water this area this time of year. I’m reviewing this a day later to confirm for the fellow OCD dog owners like myself that my dog was safe! The only real concern was some silt that shimmered in the sun (but it’s a river. Your dog is gonna get muddy lol)

We had a lot of fun taking my super reactive dog here , even though she didnt want to swim she had a lot of fun running around. Although i would say it'd be smart to carry around a pet first aid kit just in case she did hurt her back paw on a rock when she slipped but she was also not watching where she was going. I would love to rent out the space for a longer time and maybe bring snacks to enjoy the time here. We did have a bit of trouble finding the spot but once we did the way down is pretty doable even my grandpa made it down slowly but without falling.

Very cool hidden treasure! All of us enjoyed this peaceful, beautiful, serene piece of private property. Very clean and well groomed.
