Carter’s Private Dog Park allows dogs to explore the trails and creeks in the woods area, walk the 1/2 mile gravel driveway, play in acres of grass fields, and enjoy the obstacles set up for our sister horse obstacle course (Alliance Equine Obstacle Course) where all are located on a private, gated (BUT not fenced) 36 plus acre farm. You will need to keep dogs leashed to stay on the farm property and not roam onto neighbors land. Please note horses and cats are also on site. Additional fully fenced field (appx 1/2 acre) can be added as an extra where your dog can be off leash. Please pick up after your pet at all times and areas. Water is available for drinking for dogs from a hose near the parking area (bring own bowls) or creeks (at times) in the woods. Outdoor Bath area (not heated) is an extra if planning to have your dog swim in the pond and wash before leaving. Owners must bring own dog shampoo and towels.

Be prepared, you may see lots of wildlife including deer, squirrels, turtles, turkeys,woodpeckers and owls! Please have fun “hunting” for turtles, geodes, deer sheds and morels— but do not pick or collect them. Please leave these finds on the farm! Poop bags and trash cans available near the parking area. Note the pink flags to lead you to the woods, and for property markers- stay inside the property please- you won’t have any trouble with this with so much room to explore. It is hilly and can get steep so only go where you feel comfortable! Wear old shoes if headed to the woods! Have fun!!
