55Thank you! Wonderful location. Easy to access off the highway. The farm animals were amusing to see and hear in the next pen. Everything was fully fenced and easy to navigate. Large space and lots of sniff time. All were happy! Sarah Y.

55Great space with lots of room to run. We appreciated the fully fenced area, toys, and that the host left out towels and spray to clean off dogs on a muddy spring day (even though we didn’t use them, it was just super thoughtful).Leslie H.

55My dogs had a great time running around & exploring! The space is large with lots of variety in terrain. Chuckit ball launchers at the entrance were a big hit too.
Note: rubber boots are needed right now due to all the melting snow. The clean towels at the exit were much appreciated for drying everyone off 😅Jacqueline P.

55Definitely a bit mucky, but that's expected given the recent thaw. The space is huge, definitely various animals have been in the field and there are a lot of different animal droppings but it provides a really great sniffing experience. Our pup really enjoyed all the opportunities to take in the different smells, space to run and explore, and overall had a great time. Definitely, will be back but likely when things dry up a bit more. Still a great place to go for now if you have a pair of rubber boots. Only feedback would be that some signage or parking instructions would be helpful to figure out where to go when you get there.Paige K.

55The park is located on lovely farmland with rolling hills. It’s well kept and fully fenced. Our pup loved running around and diving into the long grass at the top of the park. It’s nice and close to Spruce Grove and Stony Plain. We’ll definitely be returning! Nicholas H.

55Very beautiful area, as advertised for everything. They even provided doggy bags, water and toys if needed. The horses were very calm and sweet. Our pup had a great time being able to run around so much after dental surgery she can’t play with toys so was great to have the hills to tire her out! :)Kendra G.

55Would definitely recommend this park! It was incredibly clean and amenities were really well thought out. There are 2 benches to sit and take a break if you need, as the park is quite hilly. There are toys to use, a water bowl and water canteen to refill, thought it was super nice that they left a water bottle out for human visitors too!
The cattle fencing is adequate and keeps a medium-bigger dog in easily. There are a couple of spots where a smaller dog may be able to slide under/through though, so keep this in mind if your dog is on the smaller side. Overall really enjoyed our visit and will be back. Thank you for sharing your space with us!Abby G.

55This was a beautiful property to take our dog Chase for an outing. He had a great time going up and down the hill. The scenery is beautiful with horses in view and the property was well maintained. So grateful to Tammy for providing water, toys, bones and doggie bags as we had forgotten ours. Exceeding our expectations and we will definitely be back. Thank you again for having us.Alison T.

55This is a very nice spot, very clean, gorgeous rolling hills. When you arrive there is a gate to enter, with a big water jug, bowl, treats and poop bag dispenser and toys. As you make your way up the hill there is nice shade along the left hand side of the perimeter. Nice secure fencing throughout.
At the top of the hill you can view a pasture with horses, the horses can come up to the fence so I just called my dogs back and gave them treats. It was pretty hot today so we didn't stay the full time but if we had I would have don't more laps and kept them on leash for passing the horses at first to practice before letting them run off leash or drag a long line. We were travelling through as our dog had to have surgery and it was so great to have a safe spot to stop in at to let our dogs sniff and go potty.
Very spacious and clean.
Thank you so much!Kayla Y.

55It is a fantastic spot. Super easy to find. My dog and her bestie love it! They run up and down the hill a lot. The doggy bowl and cooler of water is such a welcome special touch, especially when it is as hot as these past couple days. The chuck-it and ball are extra fun with the treats available.
I have been there 2 days now and the dogs take a longer nap than usual after playing here.Tawnya K.

55This is a beautiful spot on a gorgeous property. My dachshund had fun! A few things:
1) we really enjoyed seeing the horses, it was a good introduction for Millie! They are so friendly and sweet. I think their presence gave her a bit of a brain workout as she tried to figure out what they were and if they were safe to come near!
2) I think this sniffspot would be ideal for dogs who like to fetch. I imagine the hills would make fetching a ball with a chuck-it just exhausting for them. I'll have to bring my sister's big retrievers someday.
3) it's also a great spot for people leaving town and want a nice spot just off the highway to let their dogs burn some energy and have a pee!
4) the Aussies (GORGEOUS) got close to the other side of the fence where the horses were - not a problem for us at all, I loved seeing them and my dog just barked at them from a distance, but if your dog is reactive or aggressive that might not work for you.
Definitely recommend, for us it was a bit of a far drive (40 mins) and my dachshund was pretty much done after 20 mins ... short legs + hills + expert sniffer = over it pretty fast. But if you have a bigger dog that needs more exercise and enjoys fetching, I think this is the place to be!! I have some friends out on the west side of Edmonton and I will definitely be telling them about it! Jane M.

FAQ about our Stony Plain dog parks
Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 95% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the Stony Plain area are 5 stars.
How do I know if a dog park works for my dog?
You can filter Sniffspot dog parks by fencing and distractions. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our 55 fully fenced dog parks in the area. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our 5 off leash areas where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can also filter locations to avoid other domestic animals and people. We also recommend reading reviews and reaching out to the host with any questions.
