West Bend Dog Park

An Annual User Tag is required to use our dog park. All tags are valid for one calendar year. If asked, you must present your user tag or leave the park at that time. Tags are available for $25 per household per year. User applications are available at the park, at the Finance Dept. of City Hall (Mon-Fri) or you can download one here. Checks and Cash are accepted. No credit cards accepted at this time. The Small Dog Park is restricted to dogs 16 inches or shorter (from the ground to the shoulder). Please read the rule sign at the entrance gate for more details about the small dog park. Remember to bring a jug water for your dogs to the dog park now that the weather is getting warmer. Make sure your dog rests after running through the park as overheating can come on very quickly. Never pour water over your dog if they get overheated. Wet down their pads and their groin area. Get them out of the sun. Let them relax until they have cooled down. Owners MUST clean up and dispose of waste left by their dog. That is the biggest problem we have in the dog park – some members do not pick up after their dog. If you see any dog waste please pick up – even if it’s not from your dog. Two dogs per person please. Dogs must be leashed entering and leaving the dog park area. Always keep collars on your dog and leash your dogs from the car to the entrance gate and from the exit gate to the cars. PLEASE keep your dogs on a leash until you are inside the gate. I would also recommend that you keep your leash with you when in the dog park because if something happens to your dog you can get the leash on them. Don’t leave the leash hanging on the entrance and exit areas. 9.08 ANIMALS AND POULTRY NOT TO RUN AT LARGE (Rep. & Recr. Ord. #1769 – 7/15/85). (1) ANIMALS AT LARGE PROHIBITED (Rep. & Recr. Ord. #1867 – 2/1/88). If any animal is at large within the City, the owner of the animal is guilty of a violation and subject to a penalty as provided in sec. 9.30 of this chapter At Large (Am. Ord. #2024 – 2/4/91). Any animal or fowl is considered to be at large within the meaning of this section if it is off the premises of the owner and not on a leash less than 10′ in length and under the control of some person. An animal is not at large if it is in a motor vehicle with the consent of the owner or operator of the vehicle or enclosed in a cage or other container Keep your dog(s) away from the gate area while others enter/exit. Dogs showing aggression towards people or other dogs must be IMMEDIATELY LEASHED and REMOVED! Owners are legally responsible for any bodily injury or property damaged caused by their dog. What constitutes an aggressive dog? We asked the West Bend Police Department and they said they would consider any aggressive dog behavior that would warrant them coming to investigate at the dog park or anywhere for that matter. Any time you feel that you or your dog is threatened by another dog, call the Police Department at (262) 335-5000. Dog Owners must remain with their dog(s) and kept in their sight at all times. Dogs must wear valid rabies vaccination and city license tags. No dogs in heat allowed! Puppies must be 4 months or older and have their rabies vaccination to visit our Dog Park. Children allowed ONLY with parent supervision. When the temps get high, NEVER EVER leave your dog (or a child) in the car when it is hot out.

Sandy Paws Dog Park

Park hours are from dawn to dusk. Dogs must be licensed with current rabies vaccination per state law. Dogs must wear owner identification tags. Dogs must be leashed while entering and exiting the park. Owners are legally responsible for the behavior of their dog(s) at all times. Owners must be within the dog park and supervising their dog with leash readily available. Dogs should be under voice control. Never leave your dog unattended. Dog waste must be cleaned up by their owners IMMEDIATELY. Dog bag stations and trash receptacles are located throughout the park. Dogs are not allowed on tables or benches. Owners must stop dogs from digging holes and must fill any holes created by dogs. Dog handlers must be at least 16 years of age. Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult and supervised at all times. Aggressive dogs must be put on a leash and removed immediately. Food, drinks, and glass containers are prohibited. Water and training treats are permitted. Dogs in heat are prohibited. Sick dogs are prohibited. Aggressive dogs are prohibited. Puppies (under 4 months) are prohibited.

We have mowed trails and a river to jump in on a hot day! We have an upper field and a long dirt road to run down. We do have three dogs of our own who are all very nice. If your dog is aggressive we would need to know before hand. Please see photo for a glance at our marked trails. :) As of now Wednesday March 5th 2025 we do have some trees down due to the winter! Just wanted to give that heads up before booking with us. We also do have two barn cats that sometimes like to say hi to people. Due to winter ending our trails are muddy, highly recommend boots! I will update here as the season changes!

Alicia's Fully Fenced Play Yard For Dogs In Port Washington

This spacious yard is perfect for pups who want to zoomie and play or dogs who just want to lay in the sun. There's plenty of room to run and lots of plants and flowers to explore. There may even be a squirrel or two to chase! There are several chairs for owners to relax in, as well as a patio table. In the winter, we do cover our patio furniture but place camping chairs outside during visits for seating. Guests can use the driveway, and a garbage can is available in the front of the house. The fence has a separate gate for entry, so you have a private way to get into the yard. We have a hose available for dog drinking water (we shut the water off at the end of Ocotber so the lines dont freeze), and there's ample shade, as well as sun. At night, the patio is lit. There's also a small decorative pond near the patio. Like many homes in Port Washington, we have walnut trees. We do our best to pick them up in the fall when they drop, but the yard will likely have them as we hit autumn. As someone with a reactive dog, I know how important it is for dogs to have their private playtime. I can't wait for your pup to visit and enjoy their off-leash time!

Cleaning up after your dog is mandatory. Please take your containers and toys home with you. REMEMBER: We do all our own maintenance, so please use common sense and BE CLEAN! 3. SUPERVISE YOUR CHILDREN Muttland Meadows is a park EXCLUSIVELY for dogs. CHILDREN ENTER AT THEIR OWN RISK! Parents are solely responsible for the well being of their children while in the park. Some dogs are not good with children and they misinterpret children who run, yell and wave their arms as prey. These actions can often stimulate dogs to react aggressively and cause a child to be chased or bitten. So please keep in mind that the DOG has the right to be here, and REMEMBER…THIS IS NOT A CHILDREN’S PLAYGROUND! 4. BRING WATER FOR YOUR DOG Please take your containers home with you. 5. PLEASE DO NOT PICNIC IN THE PARK DO NOT bring food into the park, unless you want to risk losing it. Your dog may respect your meal, but others might not! 6. KEEP YOUR DOG OFF LEASH Dogs usually fair better off leash due to the barrier-frustration effect a leash can cause. Since dogs communicate with body language that involves slight nuances in posture, tail set, ear set and muscular tension, a leash can throw off all of those signals and cause tension, fear and aggression in a dog that would otherwise be non-reactive. Also, when a dog is on leash, he is unable to move in and out at will, and he is held back from approaching at his own speed which can cause a dog tremendous stress. Also, please use the holding areas to leash and unleash your dog. 7. BE PREPARED FOR DISPLAYS OF ALPHA (PACK) TYPE BEHAVIORS The purpose of this park is to allow dogs to exercise, socialize and interact within a semi-controlled atmosphere in a pack situation. Dominance (such as humping), self-protectiveness, possessiveness, inter-male aggression, and alpha behavior are NORMAL pack behaviors and are acceptable in moderation. If this is something you cannot deal with, and it is not what you want for your dog, then please take him somewhere else to exercise. 8. MAKE SURE YOUR DOG DOESN’T FALL IN THE “BETTER OFF AT HOME CATEGORY The dog park is not for everyone! Tiny puppies under 4 months of age, fragile toy dogs, dogs with a history of dog to dog aggression, dogs with a history of dog to human aggression, adult dogs who are fearful or “need to be socialized,” dogs with a high prey drive, and dogs who are resource guarder’s and will get into trouble around balls, sticks or any thrown object should stay away from off leash dog parks. 9. NO FEMALE DOGS IN HEAT ARE ALLOWED IN THE PARK 10. HELP PREVENT THE SPREAD OF DISEASE Please keep your dog up to date on the proper vaccinations, including Bordetella (kennel cough), a highly contagious air borne disease. For the safety of the other dogs please check regularly for worms. 11. NO SMOKING AT THE PARK The nicotine found in tobacco products is poisonous & extremely toxic to dogs.
