55This is an amazing spot! Very quiet and tranquility right in town. It’s close to the highway exist. Easy to find even though Google Map sent us to the townhouse community right next to it. The entrance and parking area are very clear and well maintained. The owner is responsive and very kind. Her responses were prompt, detailed and friendly. It was so kind of her to leave towels to dry off our wet and dirty pups after the walk!
The property is vast and peaceful. There’s a huge flat field behind (or next to?) the house for the dogs to run around and play. It’s HUGE! After that, we took the trail to walk around the property. Most of it is flat and very easy walk. The rest is gentle rolling hills, nothing strenuous at all. The only thing we had to watch out for was the occasional overhanging blackberry branches. I’d suggest hardy, protective shoes like hiking shoes/boots if you plan to hike deep into the property. It was raining quite hard when we were there. Even with all the rain there wasn’t any puddles on the trail. It’s pumpkin season so most of the land is pumpkin farm. Our Golden Retriever is very adventurous and food-crazed but there’s so much to explore he completely ignored the pumpkins far away. The last part of the trail is not cleared so we had to turn around and walked back the same way. It took us 1 hour and 45 minutes to very casually walk 3/4 of the perimeter and back.
This spot is absolutely perfect for spirited dogs and humans looking for a nice peaceful walk in a beautiful country setting. You can also just stay near the big field to let your dogs play and run around. No special footwear needed if you and your dogs hang around that area.
The property isn’t fully fenced but it’s so vast and well defined by shrubs and bushes that most dogs will likely stay within the perimeter. There are only one or two small openings near the trail that you have to pay attention so your dogs don’t run out, e.g. a gate with a big gap. Our dog is very adventurous but even he didn’t bother to cross the threshold. If your dogs have the tendency to run away forever without turning back, however, you might have to consider putting a long leash on. The place is so big you could spend all afternoon looking for them!
We didn’t hear any city noise, dogs, or people while we were there, only some roosters in the neighbouring farm (I think.)
I’d like to suggest whoever visit this beautiful spot to pick up after your dogs if they happen to do their business on the trail. This place is so big you can’t expect the owner to check the trail all the time for dog poops. It’s just not possible.
We live an hour away but we enjoyed our time here so much we’d love to come back if we get the chance! Thank you, Kimberly and your family, for sharing your amazing property with us. It is a small piece of paradise for reactive dogs and their owners who have to face fear and judgements whenever they walk out the door. You don’t know how much it means to them. ❤️

55Beautiful day to walk this property! I really appreciated the mowed paths to make my way around on. Scenery is beautiful and peaceful with rolling fields of pumpkins and Mount Baker in the background. In addition to this being a fabulous property, I come here because the host is professional and responsible. I have a reactive dog and having a close encounter with an on- or off-leash dog would be very stressful for both my pup and I. I feel safe spending time on this property and I am so grateful to Kimberly and her family for opening their beautiful farm to Sniffspot users.Laura G.

55Excellent spot to walk. There is one section that goes up the field by the road where my terriers thought about going through the bushes after something but they were happy to continue on their walk with me.

FAQ about our Abbotsford dog hiking trails
Are dog hiking trails safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, inattentive owners, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks are much safer than a city or county park. With a Sniffspot off-leash area all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 93% of reviews on Sniffspot visits are 5 stars. Our hiking trails tend to be outside the city, which lends to more privacy, but it is also important to follow typical hiking safety precautions, such as potentially having trail maps.
How do I know if a dog hiking trail works for my dog?
Sniffspot provides the tools to find the ideal spot. Start by applying basic filters, such as fencing 6 feet tall and distractions, to find a dog park with trails that works for your dog. You can also filter by size if you are looking for a certain acre park, an expansive off-leash dog park. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our fully fenced dog hiking trails. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our dog hiking trails where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. Since you are looking for trails, make sure to check photos to see if it the spot has flat trails or gnarly trails. You can also browse by specific amenities, if you are looking for a view or a beach, for instance, or other activities or fun features. You can check whether the spot has off or on street parking, the regular park hours, whether it has paved trails or a modern restroom.
What are the requirements to bring my dog to a Sniffspot dog hiking trail?
In order to hike the trails, we require that all dogs have basic vaccinations or equivalent titers. We do not permit dogs with a bite history. We require that guests sign our waiver and agree to follow our safety rules.
Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot hiking trail at the same time as me?
Sniffspot only allows one booking at a time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the spot during visits. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between bookings.
How much do Sniffspot hiking trails cost?
Dog hiking trails in the Abbotsford area range from $9.0 and $9.0. The least expensive dog hiking trail is Seattle backyard doggie paradise!. The most expensive dog hiking trail is Seattle backyard doggie paradise!. Each host sets their own price, so you can check the price on the specific Sniffspot dog park listing.
