22+ acre property with 20 acres that is fully/securely fenced. The front half is an open field & orchard, the back is forested and has maintained trails throughout. There's covered seating in the field & woods, portapotty, drinking water station, toys etc - see amenities for more details. There are seasonal streams, ponds in the woods this time of year, plus extra puddles & mud during/after moderate-heavy rain. Foot bridges and woodchips keep the main trails in decent shape for walking but there are plenty of muddy areas to explore so expect a wet, dirty dog - waterproof traction boots (muckboots etc) recommended. There's a dog rinse station (elevated, tethers, sidewalls) for faster cleaning that's easy on the back and keeps clothing drier; bring your own towels. Reservations are available up to 30 days in advance. Some days fill fast but plans can change & bookings get modified/canceled (2+hrs beforehand) - check back for an opening if interested. Thank you for being considerate of our space by reading and abiding by SS and spot specific rules and asking all who accompany you to do the same. First time visitors get an auto-message 2hrs beforehand with helpful info.

This is 40 undeveloped, private wooded acres less than 15 minutes from Bellingham and 10 minutes from Mount Baker Highway. There is a long unpaved road to wander on as you adventure deeper into the property. Trails to come, until then, explore as you wish. Enjoy nature’s agility course by wandering at your will. For Pack (more than 3) Pricing, message us for a bigger discount. In the wet season, there is mud at a few low spots on the back trail. Please consider wearing boots for now.

Coming here will feel like you are in the country with the beauty of the mountains, a field to run in and a trail to hike in. *Please note that the acreage is a total of 86 acres including the crop areas. There is very little time that the crop area is restricted. When the pumpkins are grown, it is fun to walk up the rows and we welcome the pups to be in there, take photos etc. If you visit during planting, we ask the dogs stay out of that area as that can damage the crop. There is lots of space to run and walk/hike. The perimeter trail is approximately 3.5km. There is short grass, tall grass the dogs can go in and out all over the field in the front and middle of the property. As well as up the hill trail.

Please enjoy our fully fenced 5-acre field and wooded area for an intro price of $10/hour while we learn and refine. During the winter, the back section is quite flooded especially after snow and rain. We monitor it and will open it as soon as we can. Meanwhile, enjoy the field and smaller wooded trails. Barb’s mini retreat is amazing! Fields and maintained wooded trails, the dogs get it all! Even though we brought our own supplies, the mini retreat provides poop bags and garbage cans along the way. A covered area in the woods with drinks for the Humans and dogs is a lovely touch. 💓 The dogs ran and ran and wrestled and sniffed for 1.5 hours. Today they are still satisfied. It was a fun day.

Best Sniff Spot! If you want to walk with your dog in your own private forest, this is the place. Grace was sweet and welcoming and showed us where to go when we arrived. Our whippet mix had the time of his life running and sniffing and exploring to his heart’s content! We didn’t find any areas where he could escaped, (and he probably would tried if he could have). My husband and stepdaughter came too and it was a fun outdoor time for the whole family. So worth the 45 minute drive for us! Thanks Grace, for opening up your beautiful property and for the treats. We look forward to visiting again.

I loved it! Their area was big with lots of places for my pup to explore, and they even had a little creek where she could splash around and get a drink. Grace was very sweet (with a little surprise that I won't spoil!), and I'll absolutely be back again.

This sniff spot was great! If it weren't so far from Seattle (about an hour for us) we would be out there multiple times a week. As it is, we plan on it being a new special weekend place for us to visit. When we arrived we met Grace outside who showed us where things were. She is super nice! She had a sign out there with our name on it and everything. Our dog Juniper had a wonderful time running around and exploring, and it was a great opportunity for us to practice recall with her. When we left we notice that Grace had left a little goody bag for us and Juniper on our car. If we could give this place 6 out of 5 stars we would.

This Sniff Spot is well worth the drive. There was a ton of space for dogs to run around and lots of different things for them to see/smell including streams, river, forest area, hikes to run up, etc. The host was very welcoming and even gave us a dog treat at the end. We stayed for 1.5 hours and could have stayed for 1.5 more. We will definitely be returning here in the future

A lovely sniffspot! Lots of different areas to sniff and explore. Also, we really appreciated all the clearly marked parking/walking areas as well as the sweet welcome sign for me and my dog! One thing to note is the fencing is not 100% fenced (a few gaps here and there) and it has gaps within it, so if you have an escape artist or need a super secure fence, this may not be the best option. I have a dog with high prey drive and was worried about the goats/horse but they are very secure in a separate space and you're dog will be on-leash as you walk by them. Once we got into the sniffspot my dog didn't pay any attention to the smell of the dogs. My dog is terrified of gunshots/fireworks and we did hear some gun shots while we were there, but it was VERY faint and sounded more like distant construction. Did not startle my dog, so if you have a similar issue you should be fine.

Had an amazing time with my pup Daisy and her dog friend I am babysitting. The sniffspot sign on the outside of the property made it really easy to find. Also parking was clearly marked. Upon entry the owner had a sign welcoming me and my dog and her friend to the property which was an amazing thoughtful touch. The owner is incredibly nice and personable and you can clearly tell she absolutely loves animals. The property was amazing and quite. Nice path into the woods. You will find a private stream and many different paths into the property where you can find nice benches to sit and rest while letting your dog sniff and play. Highly recommend and will be back!

Grace's place is what Sniffspot is all about--what a wonderful way to get our trio of city dogs, including the reactive one who usually can't be off-leash outside of our yard, some free-roaming exploring, fresh country air, and playtime together in the woods on this beautiful property. Lovely spot with tons of room for exploring! If you’re looking to wear out your pup with a ball, this is the place, there’s quite a few spots to sit and throw with a chucka. Super easy to find and park thanks to Grace’s signs. She’s a perfect host. We had a great time walking through the trees. Next time we’ll bring a picnic to enjoy by the creek.

While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, inattentive owners, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks are much safer than a city or county park. With a Sniffspot off-leash area all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). Sniffspot only allows one booking at a time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the spot during visits. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between bookings.
