Imperia's Canine Connection 1+ Acre Private Dog Park The Spot: Over 1 acre of fully fenced (6' chain link) field area with a drive-through gate so your dogs can start running right out of the car. The surface is a packed sandy soil during the cold weather months and mowed natural vegetation during the warmer months. A walk around the interior fence line is about 1/4 mile so it's great for the active dog owner too. It's a close-in rural location right in Aurora just two miles east of I-225 from the Sixth Ave exit. While my field area is strictly for the dogs, there is a horse in a corral area next to the dog field. My neighbor has loose chickens on his property. Neither the horse nor the chickens are bothered by dogs. Dogs may bark out of curiosity and that's totally appropriate and ok, but they soon realize that with no reaction there is no need to bark. Sniffin' Hours are: 8:30 am -5:00 pm every day of the week. You may reserve time up to 14 days in advance.

Great spot! We adopted our dog a week ago and he’s reactive to other dogs. We have a backyard but not as big. It was so cool to see him running freely! The host provides water for the dogs, toys, wipes, treats, and water for humans, it’s clean, and there are horses which are super fun to look at. We had a great time and we will definitely be back! This place is sooo cute! I got to meet the owner and she is very warm and friendly. My little guy spent most of the time exploring smells and toys. There were lots of dogs barking in their homes which gave us a good training opportunity. Towards the end he did great keeping focus and even sat to simply take in his environment and listen. This backyard was PERFECT for two dogs. They ran around on the turf in circles for the whole hour. Host had toys out and water bowls. Our kids had a great time on the swing and running with the dogs so everyone was comfortable and content for the hour. *only caveat is there was some language on an outdoor mat that isn’t great for young kids*.
