In our fully fenced, gently rolling meadow there is plenty of room to run, chase frisbees and balls, dip paws in the pup-pool, and sniff around for the scents of nature. For humans, there is a cozy shelter with seating, a bistro table, and the entertainment of a frisbee "goal". There's shade from a large fir, in the meadow, as well as shade from the woods, on the south side. Fencing is at least 4 feet high, all around. It has a vision-block screen, a 4.8’ top wire, plus double fencing, on the side with neighbor dogs. If the neighbor's Goldens are out, they will friendly bark, and bark. They really want to come over and play. Surrounding Area: There are two private yards (one with an enclosed, screened chicken run, and one with friendly dogs); deep woods on the South side; and an incredible mountain view, over more meadow, on the West side. Sunsets from here are awe-inspiring! Parking: There is room for two vehicles to park near the gate the Meadow. Please park only on gravel and do not drive on the lawn near the meadow. If there are more than two vehicles in your party, please park up the hill in the gravel near the large, 4-car garage. LIMIT of 4 VEHICLES per reservation, unless organized in advance with us. There are four easy-closing gates in the fence, that are generally left open for wildlife passage. We will make every effort to have the gates closed before you arrive, but know that you're responsible for seeing that all 4 gates are closed before you unleash your pups. If you bring kids, you're also responsible for keeping them in the gates :D We hope you visit soon and come back often!

Plenty of amenities. You can hang out in the chairs and watch the boats go by. Marine Traffic is a good app to identify the boats. 6' chainlink fencing. Plenty of parking and double gated entry for groups. There is no lighting, so bring your headlamp for winter evenings. This area has been newly de-brushed and the grass is just starting to grow. 11/17/2024 - Due to the colder weather, we've enabled reservations in half-hour increments. Come rain or shine, and play or train, in or out. We have covered parking for you, 800 square feet of covered, protected, and padded play area in our pole barn, and 1200 square feet (0.3 acres) of fully fenced and shaded outdoor play connected to the barn. The SniffSpot is very private and removed from the house. All areas have lights so you can safely play late afternoons during the winter. Our secluded property is at the end of the road, yet close to town and just off the freeway. We provide toys for you to use while here, for large and small dogs, and for dogs with disabilities. Be sure to check out our Extras (all free). The SniffSpot gate is from the original Seattle Humane Society facility.

** RAINY SEASON - My yard is very destroyed from the past 2 years of having a Sniffspot - I am going to be closing more often this year when it's rainy to try and mitigate the amount of dirt, mud, & mess. If it is supposed to rain but then it doesn't, I will make same-day changes to my calendar... so please keep checking back if you are interested in coming that day. THANK YOU! 😊 ** PLEASE continue to leave a REVIEW every time you visit (even just stars!) and also please add a photo if you want to- the reviews help a lot, and I LOVE seeing the photos of all the cute dogs enjoying the yard!! I have quite a big yard for this area. It is fully enclosed by a 6' wooden fence. Between the yard and the patio the total area is roughly 3200 sq feet. I have a rockery that dogs love to run up and down, juniper bushes, a large covered and uncovered patio area, a kiddie pool in the hot weather, 2 water bowls (and a hose for replenishing the water/pool if needed), lots of tennis balls and toys, and a large perimeter to sniff! There is a bench, small table, and some Adirondack chairs in the backyard (and more chairs and a larger table up on the patio) for the humans... feel free to move them around as you wish! There is plenty of space to throw balls and toys; if you have mobility issues and cannot go down into the backyard, you can stay up on the patio and have your dog bring the ball back to you. Most dogs love to run up & down the rockery! Your dog(s) will be very tired and happy by the end of the Sniff! Thanks and enjoy the time with your dog(s)!!

Very large area for dogs to run and play. Easy parking and entrance to backyard. You can have the back yard to yourself. There is a table, chairs, some toys like tennis balls and a throwing thingy, fresh water and a large garbage disposal bin to leave poop bags at the entrance gate. Come and enjoy our yard. Fully fenced backyard in Lake Forest Park, just 1 mile northwest of Third Place Books at the Towne Centre. The yard is grass, and the covered porch under the balcony is cement. A variety of toys are available in a plastic bin on the porch labeled Sniffspot for any interested pups. Some lawn chairs are also available on the porch for any humans, and two water bowl are present for thirsty pups after some hard play :). Spigot is located on the south-facing wall between the porch and some rose bushes. An unoccupied dog house across the yard under the tallest tree is also available for pups to duck into and explore.

Hello and welcome to our Sniffspot! We hope you enjoy your time here. Just a reminder to please pick up the toys and water bowls that you use when here and place them in the 'used/dirty bin'. This ensures a clean space for the pups that visit after you. Thanks! It's a large, open one acre pasture with plenty of room to run and play. Tall fir trees, our home and other single family homes surround the property. There are neighbors who walk their dogs or play with their dogs in their yards. There are no shared fence-lines but we are noting this in case your dog might be reactive or sensitive to seeing and hearing other dogs and people. There are also chickens nearby - see note below. Double gated entrance for security. Park along the fence on the gravel drive. Plenty of room for your pup to enjoy the zoomies! A few things below to note, thank you! *🎾💦 For the toys and water bowls, we have labeled bins for 'clean' and 'dirty/used'. Please utilize items from the clean containers and then place in used/dirty so we can thoroughly clean them. There are cleaning materials in case you would like to sanitize or self-clean bowls or toys. Thank you! * 🥾The terrain of the pasture does have some dips, bunny holes and there is a section of mown grass, as well as a portion of longer pasture grass, and sticks from the fir trees. Wearing solid and/or waterproof shoes will help you navigate the land. *💦 There is a water jug and spigot with hose in the pasture to use for drinking water. If you use the spigot, please be sure to turn it off. There are small plastic pools available for warm days. You are welcome to use a pool, but please empty it after use and return it to the fenceline area. *💡we have 4 sets of string lights on our fence, two small solar spotlights on the fence, and one large spotlight on the far power pole (motion sensor). It adds some brightness to the pasture for evening visitors. Note that since it is an acre lot, there is a portion of the pasture that is still quite dark once the sun is fully set. *🐓 There are two hens and one rooster on a neighboring fence line and the gate to their henhouse yard has a sign (don't let the chickens out, no matter what they say), as well as a secure gate latch plus bungee cord. They will stay on the far side of their yard, and hide under the shrub/tree cover so are usually not be visible from the Sniffspot pasture, but wanted to share in case this is bothersome to some pup guests. Our rooster, as well as neighborhood roosters, are regularly heard. *please note: due to the burn ban, wildland fires and the dryness of our land, we ask for no smoking on the property at this time, thank you

There are some shade trees, and access to water for dogs; a shade umbrella and seating for humans. Guest WiFi details are available on-site, or message for details. A few gaps of up 4 inches between fence and ground on west side of yard. It's mostly covered by bushes; but if you have a very small dog it could possibly find a way under the gap. Added an outhouse with hand sanitizer, covered seating area, privacy screen along fence to help with anyone walking dogs down the street or the neighbors concrete business. Mostly quiet neighborhood where you can feel safe to let your dog run and dig. Large playground tunnel equipment for your doggy to play in! Don't let the darkness defeat you taking your canine out to play! Installed 3 street lights to keep the early darkness at bay. Light timer switch is on the left inside the dog two way gate. Lights take a couple minutes to get fully bright. Now you can play with your dog from 6am to 9pm. Enjoy this private area that you can let your dog off leash without having to worry about anyone interrupting your time with your dog. Picnic table with cover. Water dish, poop bags, waste bin, sticks and balls with a chuck it at entrance. Coordinate with a friend and meet here to let your dogs play together while you catch up. We charge $13 for the hour space rental so, *please mark only one dog even if you are bringing more* The space has a long grassy open [360 feet] area to use a chuck it for dogs that love to fetch. A large cedar provides shade on half of the property while the other half is in the sunshine. This is a fun spot for dogs to exercise their legs and noses. Please check back for future upgrades. We have a barn for indoor training, lots of toys, chuck-it station...as well as 2 grassy acres of running space for your pups! We are also curently modifying the 60x80 sandy horse arena to use for obedience/agility training. We have reactive dogs ourselves so we understand those that need a PRIVATE space to exercise their dogs. Our 3 dogs will be inside during your playtime, please try to keep dogs off front porch to eliminate ours barking and distracting your pups fun day. Dogs are curious, almost ALL of them explore the front porch… please don’t stress over this (we’re not), we just ask to redirect so our dogs don’t distract yours with barking.

Pet Ponderosa Resort & Spa offers premium pet grooming and boarding services as well as dog walking, pet cleanup, and pet transportation services. Now introducing our additional fenced area for your convenience, ensuring a safe and private off-leash play experience. Something to note if you have a reactive pup: Pet Ponderosa is a dog boarding and daycare facility. There will be dogs barking, and at times, dogs will be on the other side of the fence of the sniff spot.
