Our little slice of heaven is certified a National Wildlife Refuge. We have a large variety of birds and pollinators. We have a walking/bike riding trail, dog sensory gardens, an orchard to pick fruit from when in season, splash pools, agility equipment, horses next door to get to know, meadows to play in and sometimes there are foster puppies to meet. We have a fully fenced in yard. There is one gap, but we have covered it with cinder blocks. It is a 6 ft privacy fence, so you shouldn’t see the neighbors. One set of next door neighbors has a dog that is occasionally out. Please keep dogs on leash when outside of the yard. Thank you! Out in the yard there will be balls for your pup to play with, a water bowl, and a hose. We can also set up a tent we use for vendor events when it’s sunny or raining for shade/coverage. Just let us know in advance. There is also shade from a large tree in the yard. If you need a dog first aid kit, we will have one in the house along with things like water for humans, snacks for pups and humans, and a restroom for humans to use. If you need a towel for your pup, let us know, and we’ll be glad to give you a dog towel to use. We will bring things out to you. These are only available if we are home. Street parking is available at all times. You may park in the driveway, but please ask first in case one of us is going to have to leave (or coming back) while you are there.

Our property covers the creek by the road and extends into woods that are not used by anyone. Our friendly cat may join you on your walk, or you could get quacked at by my ducks! I can secure the cat and ducks if needed, but my chickens are very independent and tend to stay close to the house. I am home most of the time, and usually outside to give walking tips or point out landmarks; also for any problems! My yard is not part of the site! {Rules,"For the safety and comfort of all animals and handlers, please follow these Rules of Conduct: Hours: Dawn to Dusk • Dogs must wear a collar with current rabies and ID tags and be current on all required vaccinations. • Dogs must be at least 6 months old. • Dogs in heat are prohibited. • Dogs must be on a maximum 6-foot leash prior to entering and upon leaving the facility. • Dogs must be within sight and under voice control of owner at all times. • Dogs showing aggression must be immediately removed. • Owners must collect and dispose of all dog waste. • Owners must remove their dogs from the facility during periods of general park maintenance o Dog waste stations are cleaned and trash receptacles are emptied daily between 8 am and 10 am. o The park will be closed for approximately 30 minutes to allow maintenance staff to safely perform these duties. • Animals other than dogs are prohibited. • Dogs are not allowed to dig. If they do, the owner must cover the hole. • Children under age 12 must be supervised by an adult. • No food (animal food or people food), treats, or bones are allowed inside the fenced area. • No littering: wrappers and other litter can be eaten by dogs and cause a choking or digestion hazard which can be life-threatening. • No smoking inside the dog park. • No strollers, bicycles, tricycles, big-wheels, wagons, or roller-blades are allowed in the dog park, except wheelchairs used by people with physical challenges. • Wear shoes at all times. • Use the park at your own risk. • For more information, call (919) 435-9560 (between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.)
