The back yard where you’ll be is all grass with a small patio area surrounded by a secure 6 foot wood fence with a double gated entry. A canopy was just added over the picnic table so there’s a fry space to sit or stand during your visit. We have a table, chairs, and patio umbrellas you’re welcome to use if they’re out as well as any dog toys. Please note that the patio umbrellas are put away during the fall and winter seasons. If it’s raining during your visit or your dog(s) will be doing water play (seasonal extra), I’ll provide a towel(s). There is a power outlet next to the slider you’re welcome to use.

The lawn is a mix of short grass and soft moss, this is regularly maintained and never sprayed with chemicals or fertilizers. Fully fenced on all four sides with no low spots\gaps. One secured swinging gate at the entrance. Dedicated parking along the road just before the house and is clearly marked with a sign! The table next to the fenced area has a mailbox with hand sanitizer and other goodies, there is also a water\food bowl available. (I have a hose on the side of the house you are welcome to use) Please dispose of any used poop bags and other trash in the little blue trash bin under the table. The road next to the fenced area is privately owned, so the only people and vehicles that pass by are residents and delivery couriers but they are not very visible due to the difference in elevation. People occasionally pass by on the public trail and some do bring their pets, but it is mostly obscured from view by the trees on our property and separated by two sets of fences. Note that we are within hearing distance from a sportsman club\firing range, so at times there may be noise. Please reach out with any questions you may have!

Our beautiful very scenic Barkley Park sits on over 5 acres, just 3 miles from Old Town Lake Stevens. A little over an acre is securely and newly fenced for your dogs to free run for safe exercise. Our large acreage is open for you to explore and walk as well. Enjoy different places to sit and take in the landscape and open spaces of nature while your dogs gets to play and safe exercise. A lovely place for a picnic. Our park has both sunny areas, and shady areas at all times of the day. Please do not pick or disturb the fruit and fence lines. Fetch on a few different long, and large lawns that are non fenced, off leash, for those that are in full control of the friendly dogs. We are off the road and a safe, quiet, very private property. No mud ever, all of our property drains properly and is well maintained. We have plenty of parking, our setting is very private above large homestead acreage quiet farmland fields of the Schwarzmiller River Valley, Barkley Park is just 3 miles from old town Lake Stevens. To enter the fenced Sniffspot follow the red reflectors up the grassy lawn hill past the large livestock gate that’s at the top, go around the top corner there is a people sized gate. Easy to find, easy to enter our fenced Sniffspot. Easy latch for coming, and going. If you choose to be adventurous you may choose to visit the forest area behind the fenced area. It’s a steep hill up with natural woodland ground, lots of ferns, beautiful nature untouched. Old trails exist, we have not cleared them in recent years, feel free to explore them if you would like to just know, they are not maintained and certain times of year there is brush and ferns. We have running water with a hose for your convenience at our pump house. You may occasionally see myself, my husband or my elderly mother by the house, and patio, working on the property and gardens, area around our home. We live above farms that takes care of their fields so you may hear mowing in the distance in the valley we set above. Please do not pick, or disturb the fruit on the trees. Please keep children, and all guests off the fence line, and do not step on the gates or fencing. Shut the gates when coming, and going. Please leash your dog/dogs upon arrival until you become aware of the setting. Your reservation must include the correct number of dogs in your visit that is stated in your reservation time. Correct or update this if need be before you start your visit at Barkley Park. We are happy to share our safe quiet countryside with pups and their people. We do not meet our Sniffspot guests, with that being said, feel free to send us a text or ask if you need help with anything. Enjoy! We do offer pet boarding in our home for select clients. Everything our pup enjoys in life, is available to your pet, including a big pillow bed in the heart of our home.

High Rock meadow is a 2+ acre securely-fenced natural meadow, surrounded by forest. Please note that this is NOT a manicured lawn space; it is a sloping meadow with uneven footing and heavy ground cover. You can explore a network of walking trails that wind through the perimeter forest, while your dogs romp in the meadow and zoom along the trails. There is no end to sniffing material in this 2-acre playground! Again, the terrain in this spot is uneven and sloping, with some steep areas on the trails and possible muddy areas. Sturdy shoes or boots are recommended. Those with mobility issues may have difficulty moving about in this spot. Additionally, we are located in a rural neighborhood and there are times when neighbors practice shooting. This is more likely to happen on weekends, so please keep this in mind when scheduling with dogs who are distressed by loud noises. I'm currently accepting bookings up to 1 month out. It is closer to May Valley so does have more road noise. If your pup likes to splash, feel free to use “Spot #1” as usual. If you’d prefer a cleaner experience, Spot #2 should provide that. There’s no difference in booking, just that you can pick which spot you’d like. We may at times need to close one or the other due to standing water or maintenance, but there should always be one spot open. We are working to ensure all amenities of spot 1 are available. Spot 1 *fall/winter update* We are working to get the heavy mud under control, this may take a few weeks. Please bring boots and be prepared for dirty dogs. We have various levels of flooding during the winter; the spot has is anticipated to have mud and large puddles. At times we may need to close the spot due to excessive flooding (no dry land!). Please reach out if you have questions about how much water is in the spot. Keep in mind we also have increased migratory waterfowl in the pasture adjacent. 1 acre of flat field in a beautiful setting. One large tree in the corner. Fully fenced approx 4.5’ with predator fencing. We have motion lights that come on at night, not super bright but makes the spot visible during early night winters. Boarded by two, large pastures, a private road with limited use and our barn. Occasionally during the wet months flocks of geese/ducks may land in the wetlands adjacent. We have goats, turkeys, geese, ducks and chickens but they are on the other side of the property and should not be seen/heard. We have two dogs, Veles and Flora, that will be on the other side of the property or in the house. There is a covered bench and trash can in the spot, fresh water is also available. An outdoor bathroom is available for use, see map. When using the bathroom please keep your pup in your car as it is near our goats and free range chickens. We had a fabulous time here! We opted in for Stephanie’s sweet offer of setting up a big pool and so happy we did! Naia, my pup, ended up spending most of the time fetching for treats in the pool! So fun! The backyard is super safe with a high fence. Stephanie had it set up so cute with various different play sticks, a basket of toys, treats, first aid and hand sanitizer. Umbrella was up and we felt very welcomed. She goes the extra notch to make you feel wanted. Thanks Stephanie for the fun play time! We’ll be back!

Such a great spot. Clean, lots of chuck it balls and chuck it toys. Pooper scooper and a beautiful backyard. The umbrella was up on the picnic table so my kiddo could eat her lunch. Jackson had a great time. Perfect space to get the energy out of Jackson so he could stretch his legs! Highly recommend.

Fluffy green grass, not stick-flat but flat enough for a romping dog and their active running human, accompanied by a wonderful shaded concrete loungeway for cooling off with an umbrella and a fresh water bowl. Poop bucket near gate was easy to find, and clean human table and bench included a varied assortment of toys for all shapes and sizes of pups, a jar of biscuits, and different scented hand sanitizers. Occasional neighboring dog barks could be heard, but weren't disruptive. We will be back to play again!

This SniffSpot was perfect for our pups! The yard was super clean and the host laid out toys and towels for our use (it had rained earlier so paws were bound to get wet). There were even a jar of dog treats to enjoy - a nice touch for those who don’t have allergies or sensitive tummies. Lovely sniff spot. Found water, toys, treats, hand sanitizer, and a trash can for poo bags. This was all more than we expected. The yard was clean and secure. It’s a sunny spot, but there are a few chairs under a patio umbrella if you need a bit of shade. We would definitely return.

We were impressed by all the toys, bowls of fresh water, towels and hand sanitizer that was provided. The host kept in contact with us via email frequently which we liked. The yard was smaller than we thought it would be, but the dogs did well in the space.

Nice size yard, everything was clean and there were toys and water available. My husky, who can jump short fences, realized there was no way to escape with the 6 ft wooden fence, so that was a relief to be able to relax and not worry he'd find a way out.

This is a very nice and clean spot. Easy to park and find and access the back yard. Fencing was nice and secure, and I felt safe letting my dog run off leash. The yard was clean, and the host left a covered table with towels, dog toys, treats, and hand sanitizer. She also left out a bowl of fresh clean water for my pup. The yard was large enough to use a chuck-it to throw balls and my dog loved it. We did see the neighbor’s dogs, but they were not barking or aggressive, and my dog did not notice or mind at all. This is a convenient spot for us, and the security and cleanliness of the yard means we will definitely book again.

What a wonderful experience our 1-year old Ball of Energy Aussie Shepherd (named Solimar) enjoyed today when I dropped him with Stephanie who welcomed him warmly and played with him for an hour in the pouring rain! I chose the added Hour Play option because the rainy weekend curtailed our walks, and Solimar needed exercise! He is so tired and mellow tonight—testimony to Stephanie’s great love of dogs and her creative play which included toys Solimar wanted to bring home. Stephanie even had dry towels available! We can’t wait for summer when Stephanie told us she brings out the doggie pools! We’ll be back to this great SniffSpot!

Host seemed really nice, in online correspondence. Well shaded, fully fenced spot. If your dog is very reactive they could react to people/dogs on the left side where the fence does not obstruct views. If your dog is an escape artist, then I’d be careful about the fence in the back/right side.

Each park location also has their own set of rules that guests need to follow, such as limiting excessive barking.

Sniffspot only allows one booking at a time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the spot during visits. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between bookings.
