55Great spot for pup to romp and play! The open field was well maintained-just watch out for the mole holes! We appreciate having spots like this where our GSD can be safe, lose and free to be a dog! 🥰Yasmin D.

55Nice open area for the dogs to romp. We only stayed on one side of the property due to some mud and sticker bushes, but the dogs enjoyed iI. Beautiful views from the property.Cassandra B.

55Wow - what a great property for spending a sunny Sunday afternoon. I brought my dog and 2 grandkids, and we all had a great time. Spotted a praying mantis, heard an osprey up in one of the tall trees, and my dog was so busy with her nose to the ground tracking something that she didn’t even care about fetching her ball. Next time I’ll remember treats, to get her to come back to me. She LOVED IT. It’s a huge rolling prairie, and we had it all to ourselves!Lm H.

55Very beautiful spot. As the weather warms and more of the property opens up it will be even better! I was a little anxious about the proximity of the road with my deaf dogs but they had plenty of room to run that was away from it. Thank you so much for sharing your gorgeous property! Carrie R.

55We had a great visit! There’s large open fields for running and some thicker forested area if you’re feeling adventurous. Beautiful views. The boundaries of the property were easy to understand - road on one side, power lines on one side, neighbors barb wire fence on one side. We felt well-dressed for the terrain in jeans and waterproof boots this time of year. There’s plenty of room to explore far away from the road. We did hear a fair number of gunshots from neighboring areas during our visit, which doesn’t bother our dogs, but use caution if you have a sound-sensitive dog. We have some happy, tired dogs after our visit!Chad H.

55Great spot! It was my first time using sniff spot and I will definitely visit again. It was a little unclear about getting down to the creek and steering clear of the restricted area but a fun adventure 🙂Monica M.

55Great open space, lovely chance to explore. Easy to find and boundary markers were easily identified. It's a large, open plot, you may run into water, mud, tall grasses, weeds, thorny bushes, dense trees so rain boots worked great for me. Fencing is minimalistic, it's largely natural boundary lines (trees and bushes), and there is road access so if you plan to let your dog off lead just be aware that it's not that hard to get into the street. Also keep in mind there isn't a bin for dog bags (that I saw) so just be prepared to pack them out with you. Had a lovely time meandering and enjoying some fresh air.Bailey S.

55Great open spot for dogs to run…there were a few soggy areas and the grass was high so definitely come with waterproof boots. The area was mostly unfenced but the area was large enough where they didn’t go close to the road. Christina W.

555/5 because I'm extremely grateful for people who share their space.
This spot is pretty and would be fantastic for a dog who loves the chuck-it or doing scent work games. If your dog doesn't have rock solid recall, I'd keep them on a long line.
We were dumb and didn't do any of those things. I thought there was a hedge of blackberry bushes blocking the dogs from getting to the road. Thankfully the cars saw my golden and stopped. We got lucky. This isn't the land owners fault at all and 100% ours. I really debated on writing a review but felt that it's important to share.Niccole P.

55Don’t forget to bring a towel!
I was surprised that my pups were eager to jump in the water. The game quickly became “go get the ball, bring it back & jump in the water”! LolStephanie B.

FAQ about our Elma dog parks
Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 97% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the Elma area are 5 stars.
How do I know if a dog park works for my dog?
You can filter Sniffspot dog parks by fencing and distractions. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our 73 fully fenced dog parks in the area. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our 9 off leash areas where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can also filter locations to avoid other domestic animals and people. We also recommend reading reviews and reaching out to the host with any questions.
