55This spot was awesome. I loved letting my dogs practice their off leash walking/ recall with peace of mind knowing that no one else would be there!! Plenty of water and really appreciated the bug spray too. That was a nice touch. Overall great experience and no issues what so ever. Will be back!Alexa D.

55PEOPLE PLEASE!!!!!!!! This is a 5 star sniff spot without a doubt - however, on my walk this morning with my 4 dogs I picked up 5 BIG piles of dog poop that did not belong to my dogs!!!! I am not paying and going to enjoy this spot to pick up your dogs poop… these piles were ON the trail, so we risk stepping in it as well. Paul is kind enough to share his land with us, if we all looked the other way and didn’t pay attention to our dogs pooping the land will soon be knee high in crap- we will face having this beautiful place taken from us… Paul is kind enough to supply poop bags, large garbage cans and hand wipes.. what more could you ask for? I know it can happen that your dog might poop and you didn’t see them, although I don’t understand how, if you see a pile please pick it up. 2 very large piles were close to the chairs, water station and garbage can area so I really don’t know how they could be missed. If you feel why should you pick up someone else’s dogs poop, think again and do it- so we can all continue to have this wonderful spot available to us. Watch your dogs and pick up after your own so no one else has to! Not a relaxing walk for me today because others were so careless. Add to that - what the heck are you feeding your dogs?! What comes out is a clear indication of how food is being processed and more importantly nutrients absorbed! Im done with my rant and hope next weeks walk will be better. Susan C.

We had the best time! Our girls were so excited to run around all the trails sniffing at everything - we didn't even need the balls to play fetch! And Paul was very understanding when we let him know that we hit traffic and would be a bit late.
All the trails were clean and there were water stations set up around the property, which we definitely needed.
My advice, wear shoes instead of sandals if you're walking the trails with your dogs, let the taller person walk in front for spiderwebs, and maybe bring some bug spray in the summer, it's nice and shaded so the bugs like to hang out with you.

I booked my birthday and our anniversary (yep got hitched on my birthday) to include a visit to this wonderful place. The visit I’m reviewing is mother’s day- can’t think of a better place to be with my fur kids! This is a fantastic place to take your doggies! It was secluded enough to give a sense of really being "out in the woods." The trails are well maintained, with several "secret" picnic tables and we saw 2 fire pits with logs next to them. Not sure if those are for guests that visit, but it definitely has a great campground feel to it. The maps at the entrance were very helpful. We only did half the trails today. 55This was a great spot! the instructions made it super easy to know what to do when you arrive and the map made it fun to explore. you can hear kids and dogs in the distance, but we never saw them. we briefly saw horses but unless your pup is determined it would be difficult to get to them. FAQ about our Elma dog hiking trails
Are dog hiking trails safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, inattentive owners, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks are much safer than a city or county park. With a Sniffspot off-leash area all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 93% of reviews on Sniffspot visits are 5 stars. Our hiking trails tend to be outside the city, which lends to more privacy, but it is also important to follow typical hiking safety precautions, such as potentially having trail maps.
How can I find dog hiking trails in Elma?
There are 9 dog hiking trails in the Elma area. The most popular dog hiking trail is Steamboat Island Meadows. You can browse all of our dog hiking trails here.
How do I know if a dog hiking trail works for my dog?

What are the requirements to bring my dog to a Sniffspot dog hiking trail?
In order to hike the trails, we require that all dogs have basic vaccinations or equivalent titers. We do not permit dogs with a bite history. We require that guests sign our waiver and agree to follow our safety rules.
Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot hiking trail at the same time as me?
Sniffspot only allows one booking at a time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the spot during visits. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between bookings.
How much do Sniffspot hiking trails cost?
Dog hiking trails in the Elma area range from $4.0 and $4.0. The least expensive dog hiking trail is Penguins and Dogs on top of the hill. The most expensive dog hiking trail is Penguins and Dogs on top of the hill. Each host sets their own price, so you can check the price on the specific Sniffspot dog park listing.
