We have a beautiful secluded property on the Sespe Creek in Fillmore. We have acres of orange trees and two fully fenced areas. One is a fenced 100 x 200' sand arena with access to water and shade. In this arena there may be a small amount of sheep droppings if we have been training the dogs for sheep herding. There is a second arena that is 80 x 120' with agility equipment and the sheep don't go in that area. Dogs can play off leash and stretch their legs in either area. Please do not move the agility equipment around. You are also welcome to make your way down to the creek and let your pup swim and play. Outside of the fenced arena you are welcome to wander in our orange orchard at the bottom 1/2 of our property but please don't approach any residences or allow your dog to bother the livestock. There are sheep in a fenced area and Tank, our livestock guardian dog, lives with them. *Please note - The sand is pretty soft and dogs love to dig in it. They are welcome to dig but please fill in any holes they dig (it’s as easy as dragging the sand back into the hole with your foot) because they create a tripping hazard for other dogs and people.

JRB K-9 Training Yard: Private Dog Yard

Rent the fully-fenced JRB K-9 training yard / agility course. In addition, Jesse R. Booker, founder of JRB K-9, is available to offer free training tips during your dog’s play time, if interested. Relax under the shade of our mature oak tree as your dog runs, plays and explores. You’ll also have access to our Wi-Fi and chilled bottled water. We have dog toys and water bowls, all washed and sanitized between guests. You have free use of the agility course to help build your dog’s confidence or for additional mental stimulation. During the summer months, we provide a shallow pool for those water-loving pups. JRB K-9 is a behavioral dog training facility with overnight boarding, so there will be plenty of new smells to stimulate your dog. Dog’s on-site will neither be seen, nor interact with your dog. No training sessions will take place outdoors during your visit. Street parking is available on site and we ask that you pick up after your dog when finished – a trash can is provided. Enter through the front gate and please always make sure the gate is closed and secured after entering, and before your dog is off leash. Thank you!

The agility course was a great opportunity for Lovely to get some much needed exercise. We had fun watching her jump and run with all that puppy energy. There were trash cans near the entrance of the arena. The creek was amazing. We weren’t sure if our dog liked water, but oh boy did she! Our family enjoyed the adventure. We enjoyed watching her explore and do lots of sniffs. Thank you for sharing your space & love for dogs with us. We are already planning our next return.

This was our first Sniffspot experience and we had a wonderful time! My brother & I brought our dogs as well as our parents’ dogs, since they were out of town (and it’s too difficult to try to walk them all on my own!). The creek was a little bit difficult to get to for a couple of our small dogs, but they absolutely loved sniffing around the area. One thing we would’ve done differently is to bring bug spray — there were just enough flies to be a bit bothersome (although we don’t spend much time on farms in general, so it’s just our lack of experience here!). All 4 pups were happy & exhausted on the way home. Would definitely recommend!

Wish I could give it more than 5 stars!! It was an absolute dream for my dog pack!! The creek was perfect for wading and jumping through. The roads were long and expansive. It was the best place our dogs have been to in their life. Karen was super helpful via DM as we drove to and navigated the property. We will be back again and again!

Fabulous! My prey drive dog had a great time chasing dragon fly’s in the creek and searching for gophers in the orchid. My little chihuahua tolerated it all. Easy to get to. We had a choice between Rosie’s dog beach and hours drive or here and there hours drive. Was well worth it

This place was wonderful! We stayed by the creek the entire time! Don’t overcomplicate the instructions and you will have no problem finding the creek. It’ was a super hot day, so we didn’t go by the fenced area since it’s all sun there. We said hi to the livestock guardian dog but kept a respectful distance, as we know he was on duty <3 Our Jada girl had a great time. We do wish we had better shoes for the rocks in the creek area. If you dont mind getting your shoes wet then you’ll do fine otherwise bring some water resistance boots with ankle support, or good water shoes. Small dogs might have trouble navigating the rocks to get to the creek, so if you have a sling or you may have to carry them. It’s well worth it!

Extraordinary property! It’s our 2nd visit and we will definitely be back. The agility course is fun, but our golden retriever really loves the stream. The property was amazing my dogs enjoyed every second and every inch of it . There was so much room for them to play and run. We didn’t get to explore the creek but will definitely do so next time. I love that there is access to clean water for the dogs. It was overall a great experience. It was a little hidden but once you find it it’s all worth it. Make sure to bring them right before wash day lol my dogs definitely need a shower after the visit!!

Beautiful, large space. My dog enjoyed both the fenced spaces as well as exploring near the creek. The area is pretty private and away from big roads. I will say it was a little tricky to find at first since there’s arrows that point the the address but if you just follow the road straight down the Sniffspot sign, you will find the destination! I will definitely be booking here again!

This is one of my favorite spots because it has training equipment you can work with. It also has a river you can walk down to. I use this place for training session for my dogs, foster dogs and clients dogs. I haven't ran into the host but she has been very helpful via message.

My husband and I took our rescue Malinois here yesterday and our only regret is that we didn’t find this place sooner! Our dog is reactive, but we love doing outdoor activities with him, so this place was perfect! The host provided clear directions on how to get there and where to park, and everything was as described and shown in the photos. We had our dog try all of the agility equipment and we explored down by the creek. Our dog had an absolute blast and we definitely plan on returning in the near future. Would highly recommend this place if you’re interested in agility training for your dog or just spending time outdoors without worrying about other people and dogs!

I really liked this location , it was easy to get to and the directions on line were really well detailed. The arena s were clean and there was water provided. We knew the trail to the creek was not maintained before we got there but it s so close I wish we had access. Other than that we will come back again. We got there late for our appointment but tried to make sure we had the dogs in the car by the time of the next session so as not to cause issues. We will be on time next time !!
