Canine Canyon Park is a unique, peaceful, fully-fenced, safe private yard situated in a beautiful canyon with no neighboring yards to worry about (our senior neighbors to the right NEVER use their yard). We are located in central San Diego, just up the hill from Snapdragon Stadium in Mission Valley, and are easy to access from major freeways including the 15, 8, 163 and 52. Our property is double-fenced, which brings peace-of-mind to our guests. The top patio area, where you will enter and exit, is fully-fenced and secure, as is the lower yard with its own gate. Our home is in a quiet neighborhood, on a dead end street. Street parking is always available either right in front of our house or close by. You will have private access through a side gate to our backyard. Dogs love to run up and down the dirt slope in our yard to chase balls and expend their energy. The slope leads to our flat, lower dirt yard which is perfect for your dogs to run free and get their zoomies out! We do have a turf area under the play structure, as well as inside the enrichment area. We provide everything you could possibly need during your visit including lots of balls, Chuck It launchers for fetch, toys, water bowls, a hose, enrichment activities, plenty of seating, shade, a cot for the pups, towels, and more - all of which are included in the base price! We also offer lots of fun upgrades to add-on including a giant ball pit enrichment area, pup ice creams, bubble machine, and a self-service bath station! We are open for early morning visits starting at 6am, and we have plenty of lighting for after dark visits as well! The backyard is very large and is terraced, so it’s great for exercising dogs or sniffing around (lots of great smells). There are also many fruit trees you are welcome to (orange, grapefruit, lime, lemon, and fig). We also have a pergola with 4 chairs and a fire pit. Lots of shade is provided by our pecan and jacaranda trees most of the year. The backyard ground is a mixture of brick pavers, gravel, and mulch. We have several hoses throughout the yard that you’re welcome to use as much as you want. There is an empty koi pond that can be used as a splash pool for dogs too with our hoses. We also have outdoor electrical outlets and strong WiFi if needed. It’s a hillside home so there are great views of Mt. Helix and even the ocean on clear days. Dog Park Rules Applicable San Diego County Codes SEC. 62.601.[a] & [b]. VACINATION REQUIRED. The owner or custodian of a dog shall have the dog vaccinated against rabies by a licensed veterinarian, with a rabies vaccine approved by the California Department of Health Services for use in dogs, within 30 days after the dog becomes four months of age or within 30 days after obtaining or bringing a dog four months of age or older into the unincorporated area of the County. A dog owner or custodian shall also have the dog receive subsequent vaccinations at the intervals the California Department of Health Services requires. The owner or custodian shall retain the rabies certificate for inspection and produce the certificate when requested by: (1) any person who enforces this chapter, (2) any person bitten by the dog or (3) any law enforcement officer. No person who possesses a rabies certificate shall refuse to produce the certificate when it is requested pursuant to this section. SEC. 62.620.[a] & [e]. DOG LICENSE REQUIRED. A dog owner or custodian, except a tourist or visitor who stays less than 30 days in the unincorporated area of the County, shall apply for and obtain from the Department a dog license for the dog after the dog is four months old. A dog owner or custodian shall securely affix the license tag to the collar or harness of the dog for which the license tag was issued and shall ensure that the dog wears the license tag at all times, except when the dog is being exhibited at a dog show. SEC. 62.669.1.[a]. PUBLIC PROTECTION FROM DOGS. A dog’s owner or custodian or other person having control of a dog shall exercise ordinary care to prevent the dog, while the dog is under the owner, custodian or other person’s care, custody or control from: (1) Attacking, biting or otherwise causing injury to any person engaged in a lawful act. (2) Interfering with a person or animal legally using public or private property. (3) Damaging personal property that is lawfully on public property. SEC. 62.669.5.[a]. GUARD DOGS, DANGEROUS DOGS OR POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS ANIMALS. It shall be unlawful for the owner, custodian or person having control of a guard dog, dangerous dog, or potentially dangerous animal to fail to exercise ordinary care over the animal that results in the animal causing injury to a person engaged in lawful activity, if the owner, custodian or person having control of the animal knew or should have known the animal had vicious or dangerous propensities or that the animal was a guard dog, dangerous dog, or potentially dangerous animal. SEC. 62.670. CURBING A DOG. A person having control of a dog shall curb the dog and immediately remove any feces to a proper receptacle. SEC. 62.671. FEMALE DOGS IN ESTRUS. The owner or custodian of a female dog in estrus shall securely confine the dog within an enclosure in a manner that will prevent the attraction of male dogs to the location where the female dog is located. SEC. 62.672. DISTURBING THE PEACE. It is a public offense for any person to own or harbor an animal in such a manner that the peace and quiet of the public is unreasonably disturbed. Following these rules makes the park safe and enjoyable for everyone.

I stopped here on a Sunday morning with my anxious pup. It was a great, short 30 min visit! The backyard is smallish but there is enough room for small dogs to run around. There was a nice shade tree and a good amount of grass and it was also really clean. We heard a neighbor's dog barking but we couldn't see it. My dog was aware of it but didn't seem to be bothered by it. This might be something to be aware of if your dog is sensitive to the sound of other dogs. We had a great "sniffari" and I left with a dog that was quite tired but not overwhelmed or anxious. Will come again!

Me and my boyfriend took our dogs here on a Thursday evening and they had a great time! It was our first time at a sniff spot and I would highly recommend this spot. There is plenty of room for zoomies and lots of toys to play with. They even have a tug toy on a string attached to a tree which my dog loved, and a doggie pool. The owner was really kind and attentive while also giving us space and privacy. Overall it was a great experience and we will be back!

This was such an amazing sniffspot! Definitely the best I have been to so far. It was very well thought out. Extremely safe for the dogs. One of my dogs is a new rescue and she does not really know how to stay close and is also an escape artist. The fencing was very secure and she did not get out! There was everything and more that we needed, and most importantly the dogs had a blast. Ryan, the host, was so kind and accommodating. He greeted me at the gate and let me in even though I was a bit early. Everything was very clean and I can tell there is a ton of care put into this place. The surrounding area was so beautiful and fun to drive through (as someone new to San Diego, I had never been to Ramona). The agility equipment set up included a tunnel, weave poles, and jumps. My golden really had fun with them. For me, this was worth the drive for sure!

We always love coming out here! Our downtown dogs loves having the wide open space to run around and sniff. There are plenty of toys provided and the space is safe. A jogger went past the fence with her dogs, but we generally don’t see anyone. There is also so much space to move away from the fence if that makes you feel more comfortable. My huskies love it! It’s also nice for us, because we can drive just a bit further for some great pie at Julian Pie Company. A win-win for all.

I've been wanting to try Circle G Ranch for a while now after hearing so many good things about it - turns out it was even better than I expected! Great and safe spot. Completely fenced host put out a big fresh bowl of water. There were plenty of toys and a kiddy pool and agility course. Tucker loved all the smells and had a great time. Will definitely be back.
