Hidden River Farm is a 40 plus acre paradise for humans and dogs. We opened our organic orchard 6 years ago and it operates annually from June to October. So we have decided to try to open it up for use year around if possible. We welcome folks to bring their dogs out to run, retrieve, train or just play for awhile to get the energy out. There is an abundance of land. We offer a picnic area with table and chairs. Both tables offer umbrellas for shade if needed. We have water spigots so that the dogs can have clean drinking water. We also are breeders of Champion Labrador Retrievers. We have chickens, ducks, donkeys, horse and more. We are a working farm that believes sharing is a great thing these days.

Stop by and visit us as a side quest so you can relax and enjoy the view in a peaceful, quiet countryside setting both you and your dog(s) will enjoy! Choose to either kick back and let your dog go full steam ahead in the .5 acre, four foot, fully fenced pup play yard, which has been vetted by dogs small and large, puppies and seniors, and both high energy and couch potatoes alike, or do some on leash training or long lead play in the accompanying open field next to the enclosed yard. Our yard has been tested (and approved) by Pomeranians, Yorkies, Beagles, Pitties, Whippets, and all of our Sniffspot visitors, and it's even horse proof! Natural grass fills the property, with only the occasional use of weed killer along fencelines to keep up with property maintenance and stay on top of bugs. There are several huge shade trees that my pup and his friends enjoy laying under. If you are looking to desensitize your pup to horses, reach out and I may be able to arrange turn out so they can get up close and personal, while maintaining the barrier of the fence. But otherwise, the Spot and the horse pastures are completely separate from each other, giving you and your pups a chance to admire from a distance! We offer a fully fenced private backyard oasis that is perfect for both dogs and their human friends! We have 1/4 acre play yard that provides plenty of shade for our guests from the large oak tree on property. Human guests are welcome to use the outdoor chairs on the deck that overlooks play area for dogs. Deck has gates so smaller dogs can have their own secure area if needed. Muddy paws? No thanks! Our property has beautifully landscaped with turf, which is low maintenance for easy cleanup. We provide water bowls, a hose (for quick clean up if needed), and a doggy trash can. The Fire pit can be used but guests need to provider their own wood and kindling. We hope you enjoy our special retreat in the city!

We have 3.3 wooded acres set back from the cul de sac and we back up to Duke Progress public game land. Previous owners created a trail out there that connects to a power line cut and 4x4 trails.
