Amazing place for the dogs to run and have fun, Diane was the sweetest and made sure to greet us upon arrival which I find very nice! Very large fenced yard with a beautiful pond for them to swim in. 55We spent the first half of our visit walking the trails at this spot. They were well maintained and easy to navigate! We explored a new to us route/path and there is still more we have to see. I booked a nice chunk of time, for the sake of making sure we would be able to navigate any possible october rain and truly let our pups explore without worrying about the clock. I know sniffspot gives this option as well, but it was very nice to know that we were not expected to brave the weather if it did not turn around. They even provided disposable rain ponchos for us! I would never expect a host to go above and beyond like this, but it was extremely thoughtful. This was a special trip to celebrate our dogs' birthdays (13 and 6) and we drove up to find a "happy birthday" banner, a card, and a special gift for the pups. All of that to say that it is clear how much the host values and loves dogs ❤️ the property was also just as amazing and the pups were glowing with pure bliss as they ran their hearts out and as we took them on a leashed walk through the trails. Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks.
