We live on a beautiful farm on the Mississippi River in the middle of Arnprior, Kinburn and Pakenham. Enjoy the quietness of the country with our very private dog park! Our field is fully fenced with 6' chain link fence, including a double gate to ensure that no dog can ever escape. Water is available for the dogs, and seating is available under our beautiful trees in the shade for you. As the fall starts to get colder and winter is upon us, we do plan to stay open for the winter. We plan to snowblow parts of the field so that there is a path when the snow gets super deep, and we’ll try to keep the area directly beside the barn clear for you. This is our plan… we’ll see how it works out in reality. :) If you have snowshoes, it may be a good idea to bring them some days depending on how much snowfall we’ll get. There is a bench around the tree on the far hill for you to sit on if you like. There are very few distractions here so it is a great space for play and/or training. We have three areas for you to enjoy, all are fully fenced and are included in the rental price. We have a fully fenced acre of woods with a trail that goes through to explore. It is accessed through the gate in the backyard. We also have a front yard and deep backyard, great for running, fetch and recall training. The yard is 1.5 acres and also fully fenced. During the summer you have access to two seating areas including a picnic table, gazebo for shade (seasonally) a 30 foot tether is also available if you would like to have your dog stay beside you while you relax. During the winter, paths are plowed in both yards and in the woods within 3-5 hours of a significant snowfall. A beautiful property and I visited on a gloomy end of winter day. I cannot wait to visit when the trails around the property are in full bloom. A safe, clean, and beautiful property with unique features to explore. If you have a Velcro dog like I do, bring a comb as there are a few burrs. The host provided all the amenities you could need and answered all my questions. Definitely worth the drive!

Fantastic place for my dogs to stretch their legs. It’s well worth the drive from Kanata. So large, and so many places for them to sniff and explore. One dog is a 3 legged rescue and the other is blind and yet the peppery is so well laid out there were no issues. You won’t find a better place for your dog(s).

Excellent, welcoming host! There were chocolate Easter eggs secured in a mason jar for the people. 🍫🥚🐇 In addition to a large variety of dog toys, there was a lot of agility equipment! My dog liked the jumps. There was also a jug of water for the dogs & a dog bowl! The ground was dry & firm, even in low lying areas. It was wonderful for the dogs to sniff, run, explore & enjoy the country!

It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks.
