Welcome to our Doggy (& Human) Haven! We offer 34+ beautiful acres of partially fenced property. Wide Open Field/Meadow & a vast lush natural Forest with trails. Gift your dog(s) the experiences of positive enrichment- with multiple opportunities to explore, play, train & have fun! Let them climb boulders, logs, chase squirrels, play catch, find a favourite stick, run, jump, practice training exercises and sniff to their hearts desires. We have 4 main trail systems with several interconnecting mini trails offering you a new adventure every visit! Having 2 large working dogs ourselves, we know what your furry friend needs! A newly constructed, clean outhouse is now available for our guests! We kindly request guests to keep their dogs leashed until they have entered the field and closed the farm gate behind them. ***Please note, Sniffspot is an American company so you will be charged in USD***

We have an acre of fully fenced area or 2 acres of 90% fenced area. Grass is kept short and our property is completely flat. There are chickens behind a fully fenced area. There are 6 Muskoka chairs to sit in and relax while your dog plays.

Chickens & cattle live on the property but are in their pasture/area. Open fields for your dog(s) to run. Please don't worry about cleaning up after your animal. There are 2 dogs on site but will have them in the house so you can enjoy your time.

Updated April 17 2025 Daily 7:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M. we offer a partially fenced 100 acre property where your dogs can run free. We have 3 official trails currently, plus 2 groomed 1 acre field play areas. At this time there are also 2 large fields that have been planted with wheat and are perfect for walking and playing. We have chairs available in the first field for you to relax. We have a Chuckit available to throw balls for your dogs. Fresh well water in a bucket, for dogs, and bowls, are provided in the first field also. Spring is upon us and with it comes some water run off and mud so wear water proof footwear. There is a pond at the bottom of the first field to the right. In spring there are geese and ducks that nest there so be advised. Please keep your dogs from harassing the wildlife. I don't recommend the pond for swimming for humans at all and only for dogs in May, but dogs have been swimming in there all summer and fall and seem to be liking it fine. In winter, the pond poses a danger. Please don't allow people or dogs to go on to the ice. There will be a warning sign in winter. From there we have a mile long gravel walking trail along fields and forest. It's very straight, and if you stay on the trail, you can't get lost. It is very quiet and peaceful. You can often see deer, wild turkeys and lots of birds, sometimes bald eagles. A walk to the end and back is 2 miles and takes 40 minutes at a moderate pace. Part way back the main trail goes through a shallow marsh. In the spring the frogs singing is quite remarkable! Further along there is a small run-off creek and metal culvert that is suitable for dog swimming in the spring. This is marked with orange pylons so is avoidable if you put your dogs back on a lead as you pass. Just past the culvert, we offer a trail around 2 plowed wheat fields going East. It's along woods and takes about 15 minutes ending back on the main trail. Just past the entrance to the wheat fields on the main trail, we have several fields that have been harvested and are very flat. They have now been planted with winter wheat. You can go wherever you like on these fields! Just past these fields on the main trail, there is a deer tree stand on the West side. Currently we have a trail camera at the base of this stand so be advised. It faces along the tree line, going north so is easy to avoid. After this you will reach the base of the big hill along the main trail. Going East at the base of the hill is a nice short trail going through the cedars, The Shady Trail. The entrance is marked with orange tape. This trail ends at a small field with a deer stand in it. In and back would take about 10 minutes. The main trail ends at the top of the big hill. Please stay out of the woods spring through fall due to ticks. You can use the woods once we've got snow on the ground and you can find your way out. We do use the woods a lot, so there are trails but they aren't always obvious to others. We don't want folks getting lost! Be dressed for gravel on the trail, uneven footing on the wheat field and shady walk trails, and potential water and mud puddles on the property in wet seasons and after rain. ** The mains trail can be icy in spots in winter so wear appropriate boots. The main trail runs North/South so if you want a sunny walk, go at midday. A shaded walk, go after 3 p.m. We have a white garbage can for poop but please use biodegradable dog poop bags. Please remove your dogs' poop wherever they go! ***IMPORTANT: all prices listed are in USD, $11 per hour for the first dog, subsequent dogs are $5.50/hour. On your way home, stop at MacKinnon's brewery just down the road for food and drinks. They are dog and family friendly; an all around great place to visit! We are living on a 2.5 acres homestead with access to water part of the year. Fully fenced with hens to look at. We are dog breeders at a rate of once a year, sure don’t want to overwork the mother. We also are beekeepers… and gardeners, nothing like fresh food.

Actual access to property is located behind Bancroft Arena. From this access you rarely see or hear anything. Occasionally a loud cheer from the ball fields or the occasional big rig breaking can be heard but this is very rare. Although the Bancroft dog park is close in proximity, there is a significant amount of property between the two. Occasionally training whistles can be heard.
