Marine Traffic is a good app to identify the boats. 6' chainlink fencing. Plenty of parking and double gated entry for groups. There is no lighting, so bring your headlamp for winter evenings. Wonderlane beckons you and your best pals to explore 66 years of history across 2 acres of established trails, over 9 terraces, under towering old-growth trees, listening to the gentle murmur of a clear creek, accessible by your choice of 2 gates. Close the black entrance gate behind you before you park. From the parking area choose your path— the left or right trails —and meander down Flying Horse Lane or Waggin' Tail Lane to The Landing Pad, where trails weave into playful circles perfect for a game of ‘Hide and Go Seek’ or a chase! At the forest edge, the Madhatter trail invites you to a serene creek, a secret haven at our fully fenced sanctuary. For environmental reasons, the creek area is not fenced. Our hilly forested land, a tapestry of guardrails, fences, gates, natural barriers, rolling trails, springs and creeks, is a haven for play. These trails, once trodden by horses, have been lovingly reclaimed from invasive brush and dead trees, now fun for paws and feet alike. We’ve nurtured this tranquil forest back to life by planting more than 600 saplings. The canopy of Hemlock, Douglas Fir, Western Red Cedar, Yew, BigLeaf Maple, and Alder, filled out as soon as there was more light. These trails whisper stories of the past. In the spring, summer, and fall, lush frilly leaves decorate every breeze with greenery in motion. Wonderlane isn’t just a place; it’s an experience—a Sniffspot designed with your dog’s joy in mind. While they dash through wood chips and Pacific Northwest duff, under ferns you’ll enjoy the sight of a 20-acre forested wetland, a living vista of nature. Though some wildlife is a rare sight, the forest is alive with the songs of songbirds - sparrows, finches, thrushes, grosbeaks, and a host of other birds, such as majestic American Bald Eagles are seen here. Walk, run or pause on our soft wide paths and let the forest’s secrets reveal themselves uniquely to you. If you need assistance or more info, please contact us directly. Keeping Wonderlane pristine is a collective effort, and we value your help in maintaining the beauty of our shared space. Please use the garbage bins at the top driveway entrance for disposal of any waste. Please close the hydrants completely. Press the hydrant water handle into the completely closed position after use. If the water is not pressed completely closed it affects our water system pressure. As of Nov 1 2024 the lower water hydrants in the spot are off so one can be replaced. Please close every gate. Dogs must be leashed going to and coming from the parking area, and may be unleashed when entering the dog park. We rely upon guests to contact us and tell us immediately if they need anything. To be fully fenced please roll shut the main gate after you park. There are sets of gates at the top of each trail to the Sniffspot. The forest area is fully fenced, some doubled. There are 2 gates that lead to the creek so you can control access. PS if you wonder about the fencing here, some guests want the creek fenced too, which isn't possible due to environmental reasons. Please roll the gate into the open and securely hooked position when you leave, thank you! Pet Ponderosa Resort & Spa offers premium pet grooming and boarding services as well as dog walking, pet cleanup, and pet transportation services. Now introducing our additional fenced area for your convenience, ensuring a safe and private off-leash play experience. Something to note if you have a reactive pup: Pet Ponderosa is a dog boarding and daycare facility. There will be dogs barking, and at times, dogs will be on the other side of the fence of the sniff spot.

Added an outhouse with hand sanitizer, covered seating area, privacy screen along fence to help with anyone walking dogs down the street or the neighbors concrete business. Mostly quiet neighborhood where you can feel safe to let your dog run and dig. Large playground tunnel equipment for your doggy to play in! Don't let the darkness defeat you taking your canine out to play! Installed 3 street lights to keep the early darkness at bay. Light timer switch is on the left inside the dog two way gate. Lights take a couple minutes to get fully bright. Now you can play with your dog from 6am to 9pm. Enjoy this private area that you can let your dog off leash without having to worry about anyone interrupting your time with your dog. Picnic table with cover. Water dish, poop bags, waste bin, sticks and balls with a chuck it at entrance. Coordinate with a friend and meet here to let your dogs play together while you catch up. We charge $13 for the hour space rental so, *please mark only one dog even if you are bringing more* The space has a long grassy open [360 feet] area to use a chuck it for dogs that love to fetch. A large cedar provides shade on half of the property while the other half is in the sunshine. This is a fun spot for dogs to exercise their legs and noses. Please check back for future upgrades. Looking for an idyllic space to relax while your furry friend plays in the sun? Look no further! We have a covered and heated porch, with two chairs and a swing. The yard is in the process of being rehydrated from that heat wave but it does have a lovely, shade providing, apple tree that the dogs really enjoy! We have a buckets of toys to choose from! We can put the toys away, turn the sprinkler on or add extras at your request!

If your pup is the type to be more focused on the toy you're throwing than exploring, this will be a great spot if you dont have anywhere to let them off leash otherwise. There are multiple spigots for water, and a camping toilet if you absolutely need a restroom and I'm not home.
