Zany had such a fun visit to this Bellfountain piece of Paradise. Lori provided excellent directions to include landmark things to look for (bars, house colors, etc) as well as detailed information about which roads to travel and ideal speed for the road. I find these instructions to be so helpful as we all know that Map apps can lead one on an adventure that isn't necessarily helpful. As you drive onto Lori's property, you will see a Sniff Spot sign which is also greatly appreciated. She even has signs for parking. This spot is peaceful, fun and has plenty of space to run and run and run and take an occasional splash in the pond. My dog easily located a few sticks for me to throw for him and he effortlessly bounded through the field with a smile a mile wide. We were camping out near the reservoir and drove into Monroe for Lunch. I would estimate it may take you about 25 minutes from Monroe to arrive at this sniffspot. Lori does say in her details to allow time for the drive. She greeted us with a map and covered any questions I may have had. Thankful to have a place I could go to help my little guy get his wiggles out.

Great spot! I could’ve easily spent at least 2 hours there, if not 3. Lots of trails to wander and a pond to cool the dogs down after. We didn’t get to spend too much time at the pond because we were out on the trails. I would definitely book for 2 hours next time. Also appreciated another review that stated it was about 25min out of Monroe but well worth the drive.

We absolutely love having a private spot that our dogs can go swimming without fear of encountering other dogs or boats or strong currents. She has really done a lovely job making this naturally beautiful spot perfect for dogs and their people to enjoy- from the picnic bench and chairs near the pond, to the solar fountain that helps prevent algae outbreak. We really appreciate it!

I loved the drive from Eugene to here ! It’s so beautiful. The sniff spot is so beautiful with many trails to hike and a huge pond for your dog to swim in. My dog loved it !

Great place especially for water dogs! The location is beautiful and the pond is perfect. Both dogs loved being free to run and dive in the pond when they wanted to. We’ll be back!!!

This place is incredible! It was wonderful to hike and swim out in the quiet, spacious wilderness, knowing we wouldn’t run into anything that would trigger Lumi. We booked this spot for an hour and a half and the time just flew by - there is so much to explore. We can’t wait to visit again!

The property is lovely - we had a very nice walk, and our dog really enjoyed swimming in the pond. We loved that there were seats in the shade by the pond so we could cool down after our walk while our pup splashed around. Lori's instructions for finding the place were very clear, and everything was so well marked that it was obvious where to park, where the washroom was, and where to dispose of trash. She was really accommodating when we were unavoidably held up and unfortunately arrived 20 minutes late. She also provided us with a map that helped us navigate the trails. Some parts of the trails are uphill and a bit rough, so make sure to wear appropriate clothing and footwear. Most of the trails are sheltered by trees, which is wonderful on a hot day. If you are planning to explore the trails rather than just relax at the pond, I would recommend booking at least 90 minutes so that you can do a complete loop, make the most of the beautiful forest, and still have time for your pup to splash around at the end!

This spot is IDEAL! It has a wide open area, forest with trails and even two ponds. The pond is picturesque, with a picnic table and two chairs. My dog was heaven, and so was I.

For our second visit, we explored many of the forest hiking trails. There were plenty of options and all felt easy to follow: some trails were more like old logging roads and some were smaller footpaths. Enough space for my pup to zoom up and down, and check out all the good sniffs. We saw wild turkeys but my pup stayed with me and it wasn’t a big deal for us. Love how peaceful and remote this place is.

Winter is just as fun out here! We visited on a rainy day and hiked the forest trails. It was fun to see the creeks/ ponds at higher levels. My pup enjoys water and jumped into the small pond.

Our three pups had an absolute blast running around and splashing in the pond! Lori was such a wonderful host—she met us at the Sniffspot parking area with a detailed map that guided us through all the amenities. Fantastic Sniff Spot: Bathroom available at the trailhead, beautiful hilly forested area with hiking trails and sun peeking through the majestic trees and carpet of sword ferns, well-maintained sawdust trail in the valley to the ponds, doggie bags, trash container, clearly marked parking spot, excellent directions and friendly welcoming host (Lori) with a map for me.
