About 65 acres is walkable and we have trails throughout. We are learning as we go, and hope to provide you and your dogs a fun day. If you have any question feel free to ask. And remember, we love dogs just as much as you do. There are a few important points we'd like you to consider. We like to meet our new guests for the first time. This gives us a chance to get to know you better and also put friendly faces to us, the hosts. We want you to feel welcome and know that we care about your dogs. We have several trails that split out to other trails. There will be signs to help you navigate through them, and some suggestions that will help you keep track of remaining time. In the colder months, running water will not be provided. We will also reserve the right to cancel the appointment if we get heavy snow squalls. Our plan is to keep the trails plowed, but in the event of a snow storm, it may take us a few days to get the trails plowed. In general, we will not be open past dusk, unless you specifically ask us and are aware of the risks of walking in the dark. I always walk my dogs on winter nights. Just carry some sort of flashlight. We currently have an electric gate that can only be opened by us at the gate, and not remotely. When a guest arrives, we will be there to open the gate for you, close it once you're in, and open it again upon your departure. Lastly a note about safety. Safety is important to us, but please note that you are entering nature. Our spot is home to many small animals, including porcupines. If your dogs are into porcupines, I would stay cautious of your pets entering the dense bush and recommend they stick to the trails instead. The probability of spotting a porcupine though is very low. Other animals will simply not bother human visitors and their dog companions. You may spot a deer or two if you're lucky that day. Deer are mostly friendly, but I would suggest keeping your distance if you spot a buck. However, they typically flee when they spot you. In all my years spotting buck, I've never seen one charge at anyone. Still, be safe. Although very rare, you many spot a coyote. Once again, they generally don't bother humans. If you spot one, keep your dogs close. Coyotes don't like confrontations with humans, so your dogs will be safe if by your side.

We have many gardens, a chicken coop with our five ladies-safely fenced!!, a gazebo if your pups and parents need a relax. Our property is cedar rail fenced on both sides, the front and back are open. We live on a side road. I also have home made dehydrated liver treats to share. 10 quarter size pieces per dog per visit. Fresh water available on site. We have two golden doodles but will always be inside for your visit. Safety is our commitment to you and your babies.

Not just a haven for dogs, this Sniffspot is also home to a variety of livestock, including friendly goats, sheep, and horses that graze peacefully in designated areas. Our residents also enjoy the company of chickens, ducks, geese, and even a turkey, adding to the rustic charm of our Sniffspot. This unique blend of river, forest, trails, and diverse animal life makes our private Sniffspot an ideal sanctuary for those looking to escape the city and reconnect with nature alongside their canine companions.

Imagine not worrying about roads and cars. Your pup is welcome here on or off leash. Our property features nice maintained and accessible flat trails and 30 acres of forest to enjoy. A nice private creek with a bench is also on the property, however proper hiking footwear is required to get to it as it is located down a steeper hill.

Welcome to Beaverton's Dog Trails! Please access the trails from Concession 6. Punch these coordinates into Google Maps: 44.4415942, -79.1065234. There is a SniffSpot Sign at the entrance. You may park in the private driveway. Please pick up after your dog, there is a waste bin at the entrance. Please help yourself to a laminated map at the entrance and return after your walk. The map is posted throughout the trails with "you are here" symbols to help you navigate the trails. After a heavy rainfall you will want to wear your rubber boots. In the winter be aware of slipping on patches of ice. Trail Update (January 12): The river is now frozen. Always be cautious if you decide to cross it. Enjoy your visit! Located in the rolling hills of Caledon, Ontario, our 30-acre Sniffspot is part of our Bed & Breakfast, The Caledon Manor & Country Inn: CaledonManor.com. While we do not accept pets at the bed and breakfast, Sniffspot guests are welcome to make their time in rural Ontario an experience and extend their rural visit! For example, book the fire pit and Muskoka chairs for a bonfire, drinks, and snacks; book some snowshoes for an extended hike; or in the late Winter/early Spring, our Sugar Bush is in full swing, and guests can enjoy a tour of our Maple syrup-making process and lots more. Anything is possible, and we are open to guest suggestions!

I have two dogs and they get a lot of exercise and enjoyment in our backyard. You can sit and relax while your dog plays leash free. You can have the backyard to yourself or even let your dog socialize with my dogs as they are extremely friendly and used to going to dog parks daily.
