North Star Ranch Private Dog Park In Archer

Hello, We would like to welcome our dog friends to our private fully fenced wooded dog park we named The North Star Ranch. The North Star is positioned right over our entrance, and you might see it if you stay at the ranch late. Please bring your own water, snacks, poo bags. Also we have no trash collection, so please take your waste home with you. This is what we do as well. Consider a visit to our ranch a visit to nature that has been fenced in for your dogs’ convenience. And as in all Florida woods, there are some safety concerns you need to be aware of before your reservation. There are more or less visible stumps and vines all over the ranch. There are also some prickly cacti, buckthorn bushes and brambles. Tree logs and trunks have been arranged in some areas as edging for trails. The ranch is a work in progress and we are very slowly cutting prickly plants back to where they aren’t in dogs’ faces, but it’s taking us a while. Long pants and closed toed shoes are very much recommended. We also suggest tick spray if you’re worried about them. We find that in winter time they are rare. Mosquito cream is available during summer months at the gate. We recommend you use it. There is a 20 liter canister of water for dogs available at the picnic table along with a black rubber bowl. There is a back gate at the ranch and we don’t suggest venturing out of, as the back of the property is NOT fenced, and trails are grown over. Please stay in the fenced-in area only for your safety! We hope you and your dog enjoy lots of sniffing while you’re either strolling along or sitting down in one of our picnic areas. There is some agility equipment available at your discretion. Please use it wisely and look out for your pet’s safety first. Wilderness warning! ⚠️ Snakes have been spotted at the ranch several times. Our dogs run through the ranch daily, so wildlife is used to human and canine presence. This was their home before we enclosed it, so we respect their presence and move around them if we spot them. To this date we haven’t had any negative experience with the wildlife, and we surely want to see you stay safe as well. Keep your eyes open if you veer off the main paths, and have some treats in your pocket to help call your dog back to you in case of a snake sighting. The sightings definitely drop off in the colder months. We hope you enjoy our ranch as much us we do! Our dogs absolutely love it and we lovingly nicknamed this place our “sanity ranch”. Enjoy!

The place is big and open and makes pulling in an RV extremely easy! 16 acres divided into two separate pastures. One pasture has friendly cows in it that you and your fur babies are welcome to interact with. The other pasture is fenced as well but no animals in it. There is a garden area with couch, chairs, and table that you are welcome to sit in and enjoy the shade the 100 year old live oak tree provides. There is a lighted gazebo with table and chairs. I keep water bowls outside. One near the RV and another in the pool area. You may need to use one of the many hoses found around the property to fill those bowls with water. New 15x30 salt water pool, I will have doggy life vests available but in case I don’t have one that fits your baby right I do suggest you bring your own. The pool has a large sun shelf that you and pups can lay/sit in and not have to swim. Bring you a mixed drink and enjoy some private pool time! Inside the enclosed porch you will find the standup wash station. Professional wash station with everything you need to wash your fur babies and dry them. Please be sure to add this option in the add-ons section prior to checkout. I live on the property so if you ever need anything before or while you are here just message me on the app or call me at the number provided in the automated welcome message. My dogs will be inside entertained so you shouldn’t hear them barking. I really hope you enjoy this place as much as I do. To ensure everyone’s safety please be sure to arrive and leave on time so you don’t run into another guest and their reservation. Unless requested, I generally don’t meet my guests as I don’t know their fur babies aggression type. If you would like to meet or have my pups introduced to yours so they can play and entertain each other please just message me and request. I don’t want to assume.

This spot is fantastic! There are tons of trees, logs, and brush areas to roam around. The area is quite large and there is a ton of room to run and play, as well as a ton of shade as well. The hostess was also extremely welcoming and this is located in a very nice neighborhood, but is plenty spacious for one or multiple dogs!

My boys had a great time playing ball and running around this property. Melinda was a wonderful host, even meeting me as I pulled up and helping with my rambunctious golden boys to get them to the fenced acreage. Jerry the Giraffe is a very neat sculpture and really combines with all the over hanging, mossed trees to create an almost jungle like feel 😁 It even started raining and though I did get a bit wet we were able to still walk around through the trees avoiding the worst of it. Only problem for me is its a bit farther than I typically go but will def bring the boys back occasionally just to say hey to Melinda and Jerry of course!

It was amazing to be able to have a safe place to take my dogs off leash. I have to admit this was my first time using sniff spot but it most certainly won't be my last. This location was perfect and our host Melissa is the absolute best! My dogs had a great time running around the fully fenced 2 acres! I booked 2 hours but they were exhausted after just 1! The host supplied toys, and water. The yard was clean and had great nature like setting. My one dog didn't know what to make of the 15 foot giraffe named Jerry so he would occasionally growl as he walked past it, it was very comical. I enjoyed seeing my babies run off leash carefree and safe from any other animals or dogs. Thank you so much Melissa! We'll be back!

My husband and I just today brought our 2 fur kids to Jerry the Giraffe SniffSpot. Melissa was out there to introduce herself and greet us. Mellissa showed us where to park and walked us over to the 2acre fully fenced in park! Yes, it is absolutely beautiful and so clean and very well maintained. Melissa has a bag full of toys for the dogs, fresh water bowls and provides poop bags in 2 areas of the park. There is chairs and a bench set up in different areas within the fenced in 2acres. Boy oh boy did my 2 fur kids have a blast🐾🐾. We found our go to doggy park to go to for now on! Melissa is such a sweet and friendly lady! The property owner was super friendly and helpful! Property was easy to find and accessible—just a short walk back behind the house. So nice to offer a great selection of CLEAN toys, although we brought our own, and fresh water for the dogs. The property was fully fenced, however, there is one spot in the far left corner that a dog could squeeze under if they really wanted to, and looks that someone may have already done some digging there prior. My new rescue girl is the kind to find these kind of gaps and that she did 🙃. I was just mindful of whenever she went back there and practiced some recall. Other than that, there were no other points in the fencing I would be concerned about! Overall, our kiddos had the best time and SLEPT the rest of the day! Will be back again 🤍

We require that all four-legged friends have basic vaccinations or equivalent titers. We do not allow dogs with a bite history. We require that guests sign our waiver and agree to follow our safety rules.
