Our place is off the beaten path and very quiet. That's the first thing people say when they visit- it's so quiet here! Our place is a work in progress so each time you come, you may see something new. This truly is our hobby farm. It's what we do in our spare time and we hope you enjoy it! Our property is 2 acres with lots of places to explore for a dog. Our own sweet Nana passed away a few years ago but she'd love knowing her favorite place was being enjoyed by other 4-legged friends. This is not a fenced yard so dogs that struggle with recall would not be a good fit for our place. We also have other farm animals, chickens, rabbits, cats and our pet pig, Nellie. We ask that dogs that would be bothered by these other critters not utilize our place. We have a walking path around a 1/2 acre of grass so you can get some steps in while your dog explores. All yard areas are available for use but be aware that we have some wood piles behind the barn that may have nails in boards or rusty metal. There's plenty of parking, water spigots and we'll set out some chairs for your use. **If you bring children, we ask that they not play on the play equipment for safety reasons

Welcome to our beautiful half-acre spot in Nampa, ID, perfect for dog guests! Our backyard is fully fenced, offering plenty of running space for dogs to play freely. For families, we have swings and a trampoline to keep kids entertained, along with a firepit for cozy evenings. You’ll also enjoy the shade, complimentary snacks, refreshments, and free WiFi. The side gate provides easy access, so you can come and go with ease. We have 8 friendly Nigerian Dwarf Goats, securely fenced in their own area away from the main yard. Guests are welcome to feed them leaves over the fence. Parking is easy with space right in front of our house, and there's an open front lawn and a field with a walking trail, perfect for dog walks. We're conveniently located just under a mile from Lake Lowell and near a gas station, ideal if you're traveling through. Whether you're looking for a quick space for your dog to run during a long road trip or want a larger, safer area to train your dog, we’re your perfect spot!

A serene and quiet field right off Springwater, with a great little forest area. Perfect for ball playing! We did not mind the bees, but some folks may. There was a German shepherd neighbor at the back of the field but he was quiet and respectful. Hosts also were kind enough to leave out water but it looks like a creek bed might be around for the wet season!

This is a great spot! Definitely worth it to walk the perimeter so you know how big it is… I did have a moment of panic thinking he had gotten out, but he was just exploring a different area 😂🙃

Terrific experience. Lovely spot! Open, peaceful, lost of areas to sniff and large fenced area for my boi to "patrol"! He met the friendly, neighbor dogs and enjoyed sharing turns marking. Boys! I love that, in addition to a big open, mowed field, there is a shaded, natural area! Plus the drive from Portland is nice (once you get out of Portland.. lol). We'll be back.

Lots of room with very few holes so I didn't have to worry about my dog getting hurt while we played fetch. Like the others have said, we saw a couple dogs but the old GS was very friendly and mostly stayed to himself. Definitely coming back!

Huge space with lots of variety of spaces; from wide open space to shady space to tall grasses to explore. There was water, poo bags, garbage can, chairs, and tons of room to run. The owner and their neighbors were both out working in their yards and we’re visible. Not an issue for our dog but know that there can be activity visible from the field. Great instructions for the space and parking. There’s a cute handmade sign to show you where to park and enter. A huge space for lots of exploring. Loved it! We’ll be back!

Our pups loved this spot! So much space to run and play and sniff! They also enjoyed the huge fresh water bowl (thank you for that). It’s a bit of a drive from Portland, but well worth it for the joy experienced by our two happy and (now) tired pups :-)

Great spot! My dog had so much fun running around & especially loved the herding ball that Linda provided! The senior shepherd did make an appearance near the entrance of the spot. The owner walks the dog off leash so this is just a heads up for my fellow reactive dog people. Otherwise, this is a really fun spot!

Such a great spot! Beautiful, open field. Lots of different areas to explore. Loved all the trees. Clear directions and marked spot :) Unfortunately my pup is a super nervous girl and to no fault of Linda or the sniff spot, there were gun shots nearby that sent my girl running back to the car. Thankfully the whole yard is super secure so she wasn’t able to get out. Again, the spot was perfect. I was super bummed penny didn’t explore it like I was hoping but it wasn’t anything the host has control over. We will definitely try again :-)

Lots of room for the dogs to run. I liked the tree cover with some field and brush piles for dogs that are hunty that like to look for critters. There were some neighbor dogs in an adjacent yard, but they didn’t make a peep.

Definatly one of our most fun visits yet! It was an unusually active day. Lovely weather, sunny but cool! Big black dogs across the street (cows) were fun to see. Friendly neighbors walking down the street with their kids and dogs. Niko was beside himself guarding until he got to say hello and greet everyone! Given Niko is a recently adopted rescue I wasn't sure how he would react but it was a fantastic opportunity to work with him and see his wonderful nature emerge. The property is terrific. Clean, open, both a huge field to run and a nice treed area. Lots of sniffing to be had. The host Linda is kind and responsive and loves the critters.

Linda's is definitely one of our favorite Sniffspots. We try to come weekly at minimum. It's always clean, well maintained and the amount of space, places to sniff and variety of "terroir" keeps Niko going for the entire hour. I love it too! Definitely recommend.

Are dog fields safe?

If you are looking for an adventure, but also looking for safety, Sniffspot dog fields are a great option. While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, distracted dog owners, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks are much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private space for just you and doggy friends you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). Especially for training, privacy is ideal. Contrary to public dog parks, all Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog for off leash exercise or outdoor training. 93% of reviews on Sniffspot visits are 5 stars, while public dog parks often do not even have verified reviews. If your dog has poor recall, you can visit one of our secure fields. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our dog fields where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can review the details of the listing to make sure it works as your desired activity space, for example, safe dog exercise, dog training, a stress-free adventure with your furry friend or even a puppy event. You can even check the park amenities chart for amenities such as indoor training facilities, agility field, synthetic turf, exercise balls or field parking availability in advance. If inclement weather is an issue or poor field conditions, you can reschedule your visit up to 2 hours in advance.

What are the requirements to bring my dog to a Sniffspot dog field?

We require that all four-legged friends have basic vaccinations or equivalent titers. We do not allow dogs with a bite history. We require that guests sign our waiver and agree to follow our safety rules. Make sure to check host rules before visiting to ensure, for instance, that you are following allowable sports activities rules and any special events rules.

Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot field at the same time as me?

No. Facility rentals are for private play time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the area during visits, so this is perfect for a private adventure for you and your doggie friends, and perhaps a human friend. Hosts understand that many guests have dogs in training and are nervous owners. So when you book a Sniffspot dog field you have the entire private spot to yourself. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between time slots so you will not run into other guest dogs or a previous person when coming or leaving in the field parking area. Some hosts may have multiple fields, but there is always a buffer between fields.
