Very easy for people and dogs to walk right into the water. Once you wade in, it does get a little rocky so I recommend bringing some sort of water shoes. The host seriously provided everything you need (toys, paddle board, towels, treats, bowls, etc) and they did a great job labeling everything so you’re not confused on what you are allowed (or not allowed) to use. We definitely took advantage of hose and doggy shampoo before we left (helps getting all the sand off). You will want to monitor your dog if they like to wander. If your dog is an escape artist they may try to wiggle out by the front gate, but the gate is pretty far from the sandy lounge area. The set up seems to be very well thought out with anything they/you might need provided: pup beds, toys, kiddie pool, treats, etc / lawn chairs, loungers, umbrella, restrooms, even a cooler with drinks for the hoomans. It definitely made it easy to accommodate any likes/needs of each pup. Even my husband & son had a great time using the various recreational elements provided as well. We brought our own water shoes, pup life jackets, poo bags, towels, drinks & snacks but quickly realized they provideda great variety/range of these items for you. We didn't use them but it's nice to know that if we forget something it's there just in case. They really do think of everything! Now that we know what to expect we will plan to stay longer next time. Though 2 hours of continuous water play and running up the hill after the ball was plenty to really tucker them out! After a good clean scrub @ home they both slept for the rest of the day!! We are already planning our next visit. We are so thankful that this place exits because of people like the hosts who are willing to share their property with total strangers who love their pets like they are our children! Last but not least the hostess was fantastic I arrived a little bit late and she let me know that I was welcome to stay a little bit longer because there were no guests after me. By the water, there are chairs so you can sit while throwing the ball (my dog spent the whole 1.5 hours playing fetch so having the chairs was awesome!). Potty bags are also available and tick spray :) When our time was almost up I was able to wash the dogs off and dry them with the towels provided by the host. Throughout our hour and a half there, we didn’t see any other animals or people. It was very quiet and secluded so we could really have fun and relax without worrying about anything. I saw some reviews mentioning price- I think this Sniffspot is so so worth the price it is listed as. There are several sections of the property that are set up for guests, they provide towels, water, dog toys, potty dogs, flea spray, a private creek, dog pool, dog wash station, and sooooo much more. While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks are much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). We require that all dogs have basic vaccinations or equivalent titers. We do not allow dogs with a bite history. We require that guests sign our waiver and agree to follow our safety rules. Additionally, we recommend following our water safety guidelines.
Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot water park at the same time as me?
Sniffspot only allows one booking at a time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the spot during visits. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between bookings.
