No neighbours to hassle you while making all the noise you want. Grass may be tall or short when you arrive. Trails cut around the perimeter and through the forest to get to the pond. Guests are able to explore the whole property, but please stay to the forest and field areas. We realize sometimes dogs get excited and will venture out of those areas, so dont sweat it. As long as they are having fun, just call them back and continue on your way. We do suggest bringing some bug spray/mosquito repellent.

With plenty of room to run, explore, and play, this spot is ideal for dogs who need a bit of space to stretch their legs. The area is mostly grassy, with a few shady spots and gentle hills, providing a calm environment away from busy streets. Fresh water and shaded seating are available for both you and your dog to relax and enjoy your time here. Whether your dog wants to run around or simply explore at their own pace, Golden Root Acres is a great place to let them be themselves in a safe, quiet setting. Please park anywhere in the driveway and enjoy your visit!

Please do NOT walk in the back forest. The property is 50 acres, however we wish to keep the sniffspot to the 2 acres around the house as to not disturb the wildlife. Also there is a tap near the gate that you can fill your dogs bowl incase your dog/dogs get thirsty. We have provided a tote full of toys and balls that your dog/dogs can play with. Plus the backyard has lots of different things that will be exciting for your dog/dogs to experience. There is an extra that you can select when booking your time slot called treats and if you select that extra then we will hide treats for your arrival! Almost a half an acre completely fenced-in yard (to the ground so even 5-lb dogs can’t escape) in a quiet neighborhood near 23 and Mound. Grass is kept short and natural. Never any poisonous pesticides or fertilizer used. All Natural! Seating and doggie pool available (request pool is emptied before leaving and not filled more than half or you can’t tip over to empty). No dogs in surrounding yards. Great for big and small dogs! Lots of trees and shrubbery to give you a private oasis. Please close the gate when leaving. Note: I bought my house with a large after one of my dogs was attacked at a dog park causing 2 surgeries and very expensive vet bills. Enjoy my yard with piece of mind.
