Magical Mossy Forest

Unfenced
5 acres

Magical Mossy Forest Sniffspot is a large mystical woodland adventure for dogs in Redmond on the way to Carnation. Boots are recommended in the winter rain. MMF is preferred by puppies, dogs, people, adults and kids alike because it has potable water, power, picnic tables, chairs, several firepits, lit portapotties, 3 swing sets, 3 slides, monkey bars, 3 Forts, a log bridge to cross over Little Ames Creek for when the creek is flowing, a doggy playground, lots of picturesque moss, lighted parking lot, woodchip trails and many footpaths over 5 forested moss covered acres. Parking is near the road, separated by 50 ft of woods, so we suggest that all our doggy friends be leashed until they are on the trails with you. Please leash your dog until into the forest away from the parking area, after that Bob's Your Uncle! Watch kids and dogs in the parking area near the road, and at Ames Creek. A secluded place to dork out and have fun, enjoying a natural Pacific rainforest. Note that the creek is dry in midsummer until the fall and winter rains kick in. Boots are recommended in the fall and winter. Find a map of the main trails in a photo on our MMF Sniffspot site. There are lots of foot trails through the understory ferns. The log bridge can be used to cross Ames Creek, or you can ford it to discover the rest of Magical Mossy Forest Sniffspot. Please pack out doggy bags with you because there is no garbage pickup here, please leave no trace. If there is a downpour and you want to wait it out there is a dry shed in the parking area. Access to power helps keep your batteries charged. Please carry your toilet paper (sorry it walks away). The portapotties are cleaned once a week. Please visit our Facebook page - https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61555379018442 Let us know if you have any questions. Synchronized play bowing to you!

Wonderlane

Fully Fenced
2 acres

Enjoy an enchanting Pacific Northwest rainforest adventure at Wonderlane World Famous Sniffspot for Dogs and Their Best Friends - Bring your friends and their dogs too! Unleash your dogs and frolic with your beloved friends in the lush embrace of our hilly Pacific Northwest natural rainforest. Wonderlane invites you and your best pals to explore 66 years of history across 2 acres of established trails, over 9 terraces, under towering old-growth trees, listening to the gentle murmur of a clear creek, accessible by your choice of 2 gates. If you wish maximum security please close the black entrance gate behind you before you park. From the parking area choose your path— the left or right trailhead gates —and meander down Flying Horse Lane or Waggin' Tail Lane to The Landing Pad, where trails weave into playful circles perfect for a game of ‘Hide and Go Seek’ or a chase! At the forest edge, the Madhatter trail invites you to a serene creek, a secret haven at our fully fenced sanctuary. For environmental reasons, the creek area is not fenced. Our hilly forested land, a tapestry of guardrails, fences, gates, natural barriers, rolling trails, springs and creeks, is a haven for play. These trails, originally created for horses, have been lovingly reclaimed from invasive brush and dead trees, now fun for paws and feet alike. We’ve nurtured this tranquil forest back to life by planting more than 600 saplings. The canopy of Hemlock, Douglas Fir, Western Red Cedar, Yew, BigLeaf Maple, and Alder, filled out as soon as there was more light. These trails whisper stories of the past. In the spring, summer, and fall, lush frilly leaves decorate every breeze with greenery in motion. Wonderlane is more than a place; it’s an experience—a Sniffspot designed with your dog’s joy in mind. While they dash through wood chips and Pacific Northwest duff, under ferns you’ll enjoy the sight of a 20-acre forested wetland, a living vista of nature. This forest is alive with the songs of songbirds - sparrows, finches, thrushes, grosbeaks, and a host of other birds, such as majestic American Bald Eagles are seen here. Walk, run, or pause on our soft wide paths and let the forest’s secrets reveal themselves uniquely to you. We’ve spent more than five years crafting this haven, just a mile from the South Sound, for you and your friends to run, walk, sit, and revel in the company of your pups. And when the day’s adventures are done, two Starbucks await to refresh you, 3 minutes and 5 minutes away. Join our community on Bluesky @wonderlane.bsky.social, or Facebook https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61556216197208, or by searching for “Wonderlane World Famous Sniffspot,” or ask a warm and friendly nearby AI to direct your browser to us, and to see tales of joy. Wonderlane walks in the woods is where nature’s heart beats, inviting you to breathe in the peaceful air, one paw print at a time! If your dog ever hesitates to leave, a ring of the Magic Chuck Waggin’ Triangle will bring them running back. Reminder in summer, or if visiting around twilight bring repellent or wear it when you drop into the forest, and if you choose, onto the creek area. The creek is best for physically fit individuals. If you need assistance or more info, please contact us directly. Keeping Wonderlane pristine is a collective effort, and we value your help in maintaining the beauty of our shared space. Please use the garbage bins at the top driveway entrance for disposal of any waste. Please close the hydrants completely. Press the hydrant water handle into the completely closed position after use. If the water is not pressed completely closed it affects our water system pressure. As of Nov 1 2024 the lower water hydrants in the spot are off for the winter. Please close every gate. Dogs must be leashed going to and coming from the parking area, and may be unleashed when entering the dog park. We rely upon guests to contact us and tell us immediately if they need anything. To be fully fenced please roll shut the main gate after you park. There are also 2 sets of gates at the top of each trail to the Sniffspot. The forest area is fully fenced, some doubled. There are 2 gates that lead to the creek so you can control access. PS if you wonder about the fencing here, some guests want the creek fenced too, which isn't possible due to environmental reasons. Please roll the gate into the open and securely hooked position when you leave, thank you! Enjoy the forest’s magic at Wonderlane. --------------------------------------- Thank you to the many regulars, Sniffpass holders, and new guests who clean up after their dogs so very well! Woodland Tranquility Pathways - find solitude!

Partially Fenced
5 acres

Off-grid Sniffspot location in rural Snohomish Washington! You will have the entire 5-acre property to yourself to enjoy! This part of our property is only used for Sniffspot guests. Would be perfect for those that don’t want to interact with others (i.e. cars driving by, strangers, the neighbors... ‘chatty hosts/property owners’😉). Safe place for adventurous individuals that prefer to explore alone with their doggo(s), a doggie daycare retreat, a memorable late evening of star-gazing, or a safe place for a highly reactive dog to have fun. Details: 5 acres, off-grid experience (no power or running water) with it’s own private entrance. Two grassy sloping yard areas with “Tranquility Trails” that loop up the hill. Secluded, native woodland with mowed grass. There are (overgrown) cottage style gardens. During your visit, feel free to pick blueberries, wild blackberries, apples or roses — or pull weeds — if that’s fun for you. 😉. This location is very relaxing. Plan for a couple hours or more to enjoy the quiet, rural lifestyle. TIP: if you have any concerns about your pup(s) going down the driveway, feel free to close the gate for added safety. Note: We are raising money to renovate the cottage located on the property by hosting a Sniffspot. Please do not explore inside the house, a roof collapse could happen before we can arrange for it to be replaced.

Hike up the mini forest

Fully Fenced
9 acres

Our property is shy of 12 acres, 9+ acres of which we're sharing as a private off leash dog space or Sniffspot. The entrance is over the bridge where the creek is and 'From Creek to Back of Property' is all yours to explore. You may unleash your doggies right after the bridge and chain the gate if you want. Dogs might run down the creek for a splash or drink. Continue on to our family campground, there are picnic tables you could use. Then, up the hill you go to 'hike up the mini forest', free to roam around, listen to the birds, squirrels and other critters and sounds that nature brings you. You'll find seating areas while your dogs are at play, feel free to use them. Enjoy a picnic with your loved ones if you're up for it on one of the cabin porches or covered / uncovered picnic tables. The back of property behind fence is DNR land, so rest assured you’re on your own private little world with your furry buddies. The mini forest has some large walking paths and smaller trails scattered about, also some open meadows and is at a peaceful wooded setting. This is where I go to unwind and relieve my head of stress and worries. It’s my place of meditation, while my dogs sniff and romp around like crazy, do their zoomies and play hide n seek! *If you want to save a little bit of moolah, check out Sniffpass. Forget about the gym, you'll get your exercise here with your dogs. If you have older dog/s and would like to drive below the hill to park so the fur buddy don't get exhausted, message me.* Some of you have asked about the cabins. Sniffspot is unavailable if Cabins are booked or vice versa. Booking is through Hipcamp (www.hipcamp.com). Name of listing: 'Grace E.'s Mini Forest Cabins'. Check it out by copying and pasting link below to browser or Search listing through the hipcamp site. https://www.hipcamp.com/en-US/land/washington-grace-e-s-mini-forest-ex9hrrp8?shareid=1ddvuyvr3yh Saturdays are usually blocked if there's Hipcamp bookings. But I would unblock the hours for Sniffspot use if that day isn't booked for Hipcamp, so please try to check back, who knows that day might be available! Anyway, hope you too will enjoy your little 'hike up the mini forest..'

Lake Cavanaugh K9 Ranch

22 acres

22 forested acres with private trails and an open field area located in the power line clearing. Includes private land access to state forest trails with views. Once you park you will see the trail entrance into the forest in front of you. Take the trail down to the creek. Water levels in the creek vary depending on the time of year. Cross the creek using the foot bridge and head through the forest. In about .3 miles you will come out into the powering line clearing. Feel free to explore everything in front of you and to the left (north). There are several wide open grass spaces in the power line to play fetch or just let the dogs run and be dogs. I will send you detailed instructions for the hike up the mountain upon request. This is a real hike and I recommend hiking attire. Please bring water for yourself and your dogs. The hike is about 3.5 miles and 800 feet of elevation gain. I recommend booking at least 2 hours to complete. If you want to hang out and enjoy the views you may want to book more than 2 hours.

Pepper's Pasture in Gig Harbor

Fully Fenced
1.5 acres

New: Year-End Special--bring leaves, pumpkins, and other compostables in exchange for discount codes! See below. Also new: big dirt pile beside driveway from sitework--just drive on past to the sniffspot Beautiful sloped pasture with some woods at the lower end. 1.5 acres. If desired, you can drive right into the pasture and secure the gate behind you before letting your dog(s) loose. It changes by the season. In summer, the grass grows tall and you can enjoy the shade of alders in the lower portion. A seasonal creek runs through it in winter and spring. Your dog may find the scent of deer where they've bedded down at night, though it's unlikely that any will be present for your visit. You will see that I've planted and protected some fruit trees and native plants here and there. A sheltered area allows you to sit in the shade or out of the rain, and that's where you'll also find most amenities, such as toys and water. Access: There are two driveways onto the property. Use the north entry, with the "Pepper's Pasture" sign. After driving up that driveway, you'll see a "Sniffspot" sign on the gate into the pasture. Year-End Special: I've moved the compost pile to the left side of the entry driveway and will compensate donations: $5 discount per big bag of leaves, $5 per pumpkin/jack-o-lantern. Let me know what you brought/are planning to bring and I'll respond with a personalized promo code to use at Pepper's Pasture. You can empty the leaves onto the pile or leave them bag and all and I'll take care of it. Cardboard (non-glossy) and other compostables also welcome. Text me at 253-346-5863 or reach out via the Sniffspot app. to get your discounts. Thanks!

Dog Nirvana in Maple Valley - 10 plus acres fully fenced!

Fully Fenced
10 acres

Come enjoy yourself in the country! We have over 10 fully fenced acres that include two spring-fed private ponds for dogs that like the water, some slight hills for running and playing, lots of wide open space and a beautiful creek. There will be no dogs, people or animals outside on my property during your visit. Please just bring your own toys and pick up after your dogs. I look forward to welcoming you! * The entire 10+ acre perimeter of the property is steel mesh fencing with poles and/or steel mesh fencing in horse fencing to keep the entire perimeter secure and safe. PLEASE NOTE there are TWO FENCING SYSTEMS here -- the internal pastures that are fenced in 3 rail white fencing and the perimeter fencing which consists of steel mesh to the ground and large log poles and/or 3 rail fencing with steel mesh down to the ground. The pasture fencing is located INSIDE of the separate property perimeter fencing. If a dog runs under the white interior pasture fencing they are still secured within the perimeter system. * The front gate and a service gate are metal with horizontal rails with 6.5 inches between each rail. Smaller dogs could potentially get out through the rails. A picture of the gate is included in listing photos so that guests can assess whether the gate will be an issue for them so they can determine whether this property will be appropriate for their pup(s). * This property is pretty secluded. Two sides of the property are surrounded by conservation land (woods), one by a quiet neighborhood road (with the only house set back and not visible while on my property) and the fourth (above the house and barn) by 60 acres in two parcels. The neighbors ' horses might be seen in the distance along the upper side of my property and you might hear their dogs barking from several acres away periodically. * Several pastures have covered horse sheds in them that can be used by visitors for shelter from rain or sun. * There is a dog dish for water, a container of water, poop bags and several garbage cans for doggie poop bags! * If you bring additional guests with pups PLEASE make sure they are aware of all information/rules shared in the listing and via message by the host. * Carey Creek runs along the entire south side of the lowest pasture. It is fully useable for guests. it is on my property but outside of our secure fences so if you go out the gates at the bottom of the property to get to the creek you should leash up if your dog has poor recall. * We have access across the road from the property to 1800 + acres with 30 miles of trails on Taylor Mountain (King County Park) so make it a day and come enjoy our little slice of heaven!

124 Acre Conservation Farm Trails Fields Fun

Unfenced
124 acres

Follow our FB page for open days. Farm store now open! Swing in before your appointment and grab some retro sodas, dog beer (YES I SAID DOG BEER!), artisan smores kits and so much more! CASHLESS sales at the store please. Malaney Creek Farm is a 124 acre conservation farm comprised of fields, forest and wetlands. 3+ miles of private trails, open grassy fields. Trails are marked to keep you pointed in the right direction. Picnic tables, covered areas to duck out of the weather and portable restroom with hand sanitizer. Your sniffspot staging area is located in what we call our "Cascara" campsite. Covered picnic table, adirondack chairs, firepit and a big green grassy field. This spot is a central location near the portable restroom, easy drive in access, and a base location for exploring the trail network. Our trail system has been a labor of love. We enjoy providing unique experiences and highlighting the natural beauty of the forest and wetlands on the property. Once home to giant cedar trees the property was purchased by the Great Northern Railway in the late 1800's. A railroad system was built here and the giant cedars logged and milled onsite. You wouldn't be able to tell that now as the forest is doing a wonderful job of repairing itself. We do have a few artifacts scattered about that have been found that you will see on your walks. A large concrete trestle base, railway beams, rail spikes and misc metal items from the trains and equipment. Most of our trails accommodate hiking and mountain bikes (yes E-bikes are allowed ;), however the hiking only trails are really evolving. Our new wetlands trail is a quick link between Casacara and the Beargrass island trail. It is foot traffic only and features hand hewn cedar bridges made from cedar logs left behind by the logging operation over 100 years ago! Log rounds to hop across wet areas and places to stop and soak in the quiet. There is a diverse landscape of rare native plants on this hike and foraging opportunities abound! Fiddle head ferns, chicken of the woods and more! Our most prized flora is a large patch of Labrador Tea. A very rare species of plant related to the rhododendron that native american peoples used as a medicinal healing tea. So come out and explore! Bring appropriate footwear, your furry hiking buddies, a bottled water, and a camera. We look forward to hosting you! PLEASE NOTE, IF YOU CANCEL WITHIN THE 2 HOUR WINDOW BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT THERE ARE NO REFUNDS. WE BLOCK OUT ALL DAY BOOKINGS FOR SNIFFSPOT APPOINTMENTS. Check out our website, insta and FB page for more photos too! Happy Sniffing!!l

Pig Beach (near Port Ludlow)

Fully Fenced
0.63 acres

A .63 acre dog sanctuary for you and your pup. The yard is well maintained with dog friendly grass and has incredible views of the Hood Canal and Puget Sound. If you're interested, there is private beach access for you and your pup to explore miles of beach (public but almost always empty). There are numerous dog toys available and a massive 6+ person, dog friendly couch (late Spring to early Fall) you can relax on and watch the canal when you need a break! Regarding the beach, there are approximately 50 steps which you will need to climb up and down to access the beach so please wear proper footwear. As this is on the Hood Canal and not a lake or a pond, tides impact the size of the beach. If you are hoping to walk endless miles of beach, the tide will need to be at 2ft or below. Anything under 4ft will give you a massive area (probably 1/2 mile or more) and almost guaranteed private area as only people with stairs can access the beach at this tide level. Though the beach is open at any point, I think the maximum height you would probably want to go is about 6.5ft. This still gives you and your dog a decent sized area to play in (approximately 500ft by 30ft or 1/2 acre). Photos 16 and 17 show the beach at 6.25ft with a very large sandy area for you and your pup to play in. Anything above 6.5 ft is not recommended as the beach just gets thinner and thinner, but you're able to try if you want. (no refunds given if you don't like what you find). You are responsible for checking out the tides before you go. Legally, I can't recommend any specific source for you to use, but you might find good information Googling "tide chart port ludlow". Regarding ADA Accessibility, my property is on a gently sloping hill. To access it, there are 2 very wide concrete steps to get to the grass. This would be doable for someone on crutches and probably ok for a regular wheelchair if you had a second person to help lower you to each step and pull you up. It's definitely not accessible to a motorized wheelchair. Sorry. Note - restroom is only available if I'm home, otherwise there is one approximately 2 miles northwest at the gas station in Port Ludlow

Shady Hill Hobby Farm

Fully Fenced
4 acres

Welcome to Shady Hill Hobby farm! Our farm offers a wooded pasture with a creek (note: during summer months the creek is muddy) that is fully fenced with horse fencing or barbed wire (see pictures). The gate at the end of the gravel path begins your off-leash experience! Once inside, you'll have the option to take a left to enjoy the creek or continue up the hill to explore the woods and pasture. Upon entering the farm, parking will be on your right. Please park your vehicle on the wood chips. Given this is an active farm with chickens and ducks free ranging we do ask that you keep your dog(s) on a leash until you are behind the Sniffspot gate. You are also welcome to observe the farm animals while your dog is leashed as well. We hope you enjoy our farm as much as we do. ~ Hall Family

Camp Dilly Dally Doggie Park In Buckley

Partially Fenced
5 acres

We offer five acres of partially mowed fields and a natural wooded area. There is a small pond and access to South Prairie Creek. The creek has a variable current, so it may be best for larger dogs. The pond would be ideal for smaller dogs who aren't strong swimmers. Trails began as deer/elk trails but have been improved. There are some small logs and rocks here and there to step over so sturdy shoes are recommended. The leaves that cover the trails in the fall may be a little slippery, so take care.

A walk in Dons woods

Fully Fenced
12 acres

We have a number of wide moss covered walking trails through the woods. The property is fully fenced with wire fencing. But it is NOT dog proof fencing . There is a natural wide buffer between trails and fencing in most spots. The west side has privacy fencing, hogwire fencing on the North and a creek borders the Southend. . We have dogs on the property but they do not go venturing into the woods unless we are with them.

55We couldn’t have had a better afternoon. Our dog is semi-reactive, which makes outings at fun places like beaches and parks a little trickier, so this place was an absolute gift. There’s essentially two types of terrain: 1) wide, open, flat grass, which is perfect for fetch; and 2) what I called the “tall grass maze”. Stephanie has mowed little paths into tall grass that meander over several acres. Our girl *loves* wandering trails and tall grass so she couldn’t have been happier. Then to top it all off, there’s a cute creek that she jumped into to cool off.  Overall, we had an amazing time and will definitely be going back

55This is the best Sniffspot I’ve been to yet! My dog LOVED this space, she had a blast swimming in the creek and the pond, running through short and tall grass. The trails are well maintained, there are delicious wild blackberries and Stephanie is a great host. We will definitely be back!

55The host was polite and courteous to our needs. One of the first questions she asked was  the type of reactivity my dog had and how she could accommodate me. The property was gorgeous with a mixture of tall and short grass which made for a fun game of hide and seek. The Sniffspot was far enough away from the house and barely visible making me feel as though I was miles away from anybody. The Sniffspot was surrounded by fields so there was very little chance I would come upon them. The spot was not fully fenced, so your dog must have good recall or have a long line on at all times. She does mention this in the description though so you’re prepared for that.  Additionally, the tall and short grass provided me with the perfect opportunity to practice the “Stay” commands I could see my dog and make sure she didn’t break the stay.  There were a few poop piles I came across when walking, however the host does provide a nice garbage can and poop bags at the entrance. It’s a large area and can be hard to police when guests choose not to utilize what the host generously provides.  The water feature was amazing. My dog absolutely adored playing in the little creek/stream. She did get a little muddy, but that’s easily fixed. There’s quite a few trails to explore and there’s also a little open pasture near the water that allows for optimal supervision if you need that for your dog. There were a few benches near water, but not a lot of shade.  The trails are generally pretty flat and even, however there were a few places that got a bit rough. That’s to be expected from a field since overtime the ground gets wet and dirt sinks.  Overall, a great Sniffspot that’s fun to explore for both dogs and humans.

55We’ve been to Stephanie’s place a few times, and it remains our favorite Sniffspot. She’s awesome and so is the property, which offers tall grasses, mowed paths, a pond, toys, water, irrigation streams, a place to put poo bags, and parking. Our dogs have good recall so we don’t worry about lack of fences near the road. If your dogs don’t come when called I keep them on leash until you get further back into the property. Wear boots or waterproof shoes, or don’t worry about getting your feet wet. 😄

55Excellent swampy/marshy fields with mowed trails to walk. Our pups had an excellent time romping in the tall grasses and laying in the wet streams. Property is beautiful and large and we'll maintained for dogs and trail walks. Only cautions: busy road at the entrance, leash your pups at the car and walk to play area (if you think they will bolt into traffic), and the natural environment comes with occasional natural hazards such as uneven terrain in places (off trail) and small animal carcasses (small mouse, bird).

FAQ about our Redmond dog water parks

Are dog water parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks are much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 93% of reviews on Sniffspot visits are 5 stars.
If you are worried about whether you can have an enjoyable water experience, just know that it is possible to have peace of mind when visiting dog waterparks by following basic safety guidelines. Some great ways to stay safe around water with your dog include learning canine CPR and keep an eye on your dog at all times to ensure they are not distressed. You can learn more about safety around water here.
How can I find the best dog water parks in Redmond?
There are 36 dog water parks in the Redmond area. The most popular dog water park is Magical Mossy Forest. You can browse all of our dog water parks here.
How do I know if a dog water park works for my dog?
Start by applying basic filters, such as fencing and distractions, to find a dog park that works for your dog. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our fully fenced dog water parks. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our dog water parks where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. Make sure to review the amenities of the spot to see what kind of water features are offered to make sure it works for your dog. If your dog is not a strong swimmer, then perhaps choose a dog water park with tamer water features rather than a river or beach, for instance. We also recommend reading reviews and reaching out to the host with any questions, and of course, checking water park hours.
What are the requirements to bring my dog to a Sniffspot water park?
We require that all dogs have basic vaccinations or equivalent titers. We do not allow dogs with a bite history. We require that guests sign our waiver and agree to follow our safety rules. Additionally, we recommend following our water safety guidelines.
Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot water park at the same time as me?
Sniffspot only allows one booking at a time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the spot during visits. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between bookings.
How much do Sniffspot dog water parks cost?
Dog water parks in the Redmond area range from $10.0 and $10.0. The least expensive dog water park is Big yard, lots of smells. The most expensive dog water park is Big yard, lots of smells. Each host sets their own price, so you can check the price on the specific Sniffspot dog park listing.
Can I have an event or party at a dog water park?
If you are planning an amazing dog water park party, each Sniffspot water park has their own rules regarding special events. Many water parks allow doggie birthday parties, training and other event types. Event organizers need to be responsible for their guests and event organizers should coordinate with the host regarding their fun party.
What are the coolest doggie water features available?
Sniffspot dog water parks can have a variety of features, everything from swimming pools to rivers to beaches to hoses and kiddie pools. If you are dreaming of a curtain of water, water tunnels, a ball pit pool, water slide ball pits, splash pools or other cool features, you can definitely find amazing features at Sniffspot dog water parks. Each water park is different, so check the details of the park to find the incredible dog water park of your dreams.
