22 forested acres with private trails and an open field area located in the power line clearing. Includes private land access to state forest trails with views. Once you park you will see the trail entrance into the forest in front of you. Take the trail down to the creek. Water levels in the creek vary depending on the time of year. Cross the creek using the foot bridge and head through the forest. In about .3 miles you will come out into the powering line clearing. Feel free to explore everything in front of you and to the left (north). There are several wide open grass spaces in the power line to play fetch or just let the dogs run and be dogs. I will send you detailed instructions for the hike up the mountain upon request. This is a real hike and I recommend hiking attire. Please bring water for yourself and your dogs. The hike is about 3.5 miles and 800 feet of elevation gain. I recommend booking at least 2 hours to complete. If you want to hang out and enjoy the views you may want to book more than 2 hours.

Our property is located off the Burn Road in Arlington and is 5 acres, 1 of which is fully fenced and there are about 3+ acres of woods that have a trails throughout that we are constantly trying to add onto. Access to the backyard will be through the double gates on the south side of the house. Access to the trails can be either gate along the back fence. We just ask that you close whichever gate you use upon entrance and exit. The trails currently are just shy of 1/4 of mile looping back to the gates of the fenced in backyard. We do have a seasonal pond in the woods that we plan on trying to expand access too (it’s a work in progress). The fence is 3.5 feet high split rail with chain link very secure, the back portion of fencing is strictly chain link same height but acts as a natural looking wild fence. Dogs can play ball, sniff around, and run off lease in the fenced yard. Dogs with good recall can be off leash on the trails and run throughout. We do have neighbors where our woods end that are mostly fenced but some do not have fencing (which is why recall is needed). There is no delineation between the neighbor to the north’s huge pasture area which would be off limits. Please enjoy yourself and let us know if you have any ideas to add to the property. I often don’t know until last minute when the forest manager I’m working with for the DNR forest cleanup project is on-site, the logging will take place hopefully this winter. — This 21-acre forest with a large beaver pond is classified as a class-A wetland. In addition to this, you can find a shallow creek, beaver dams, old-growth forest, and phenomenal bird habitat. Find privacy and quiet with the exception of the songs of many birds and woodpeckers. This property was once a show home, but a fire took place over 10 years ago and the house was not rebuilt. While the ruins that remain are minimal, it sets an interesting backdrop; perhaps it can be the scene for a mysterious photoshoot. Within the property is a small orchard, we do ask to try to not let the pups do their business there. Spring 2022 Update: One picnic table have been added to the property.

This Sniffspot was so charming and full of character. The directions were very clear and easy to follow. There were lots of winding trails to roam, I honestly got a little lost for a bit. My dog did get a bit spooked by some of the statues along the trails, but they were mostly avoidable. Highly recommend taking advantage of the bug spray in the mailbox at the parking spot.

This has to be the most magical Sniffspot! We’ve been to the majority of the spots in the Seattle area and for larger spots with trails, this is a really special place. Lots of fun winding trails with nicely indicated pathways and all of the cutest little items sprinkled throughout to find along the way. It was truly a relaxing experience for us and our dog, who basically had his own personal hike!

This Woods Walk is incredible and I highly recommend the space! Our two dogs enjoyed every minute of our outing, from the wooded trails to the open clearing where they could run in circles and catch a Frisbee. As for me, I appreciated being able to drink a hot cup of lemon ginger tea while I watched them play! The honor bar is a very nice touch! Also, Don's Woods was a great way to introduce our young pup to the concept of "statues." He didn't understand them at first, but was able to bark ferociously, tentatively approach, and get the fear out of his system without disturbing anybody 😊
