55Wonderful place!! Loved the indoor arena on an early, cold morning. The footing in the arena was easy to play in for both the dogs and the humans. The dogs went wild sniffing and chasing each other. There was a basket of toys to play with, water for the dogs and a garbage can. There are several options for outdoor spaces which will be so fun in the summer.Linda L.

55Perfect spot! I took our 2 high energy doggies today. The barn provides toys and water for them. It is a sand type “footing” not dirt. I wore white sneakers (not planned) and they hardly got dirty at all. This will be a weekly visit for these happy pups!Laure R.

55We had a great time today at Todd Acres! Perfect indoor spot! It was bright, clean, and owners have put some thought into making the space as private as possible. My dogs loved romping around and smelling everything. We will be back! Amber M.

55My dogs enjoyed their play time at Todd’s Acres. The covered and enclosed arena was immaculately clean and dry. On a snowy day in was so nice to be undercover, out of the wind and it was warmer than being outside. We will be going back! Laura H.

55First, we will definitely be going back. What a great place for a rainy day romp! This is an arena with a sand-type floor. There was a bucket of clean water, some toys (my dogs don't really play with toys anymore, but I thought it was nice), and two chairs (we try to walk during this time to keep the dogs moving and for our own health, but it would be nice for some people). It was pretty darn quiet from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. (while we were there). People before us had cleaned up ALL the potty, so we only had to pick up the ones my boys contributed.
Some suggestions.
My biggest suggestion is the gate we came in. For most dogs, it would be totally fine. But I have two giant breed dogs. After running around a bit, they started to focus on what was outside of the entry gate. They were pushing at it and trying to get out. The chain that holds the gate is very small and doesn't look like it is securely fastened to the wall. I really think they need a better way of securing the gate. (We moved a barrel in front of the gate and that got my boys away from it.)
Also, while there was signage, but it could be bigger (or otherwise easier to see). We went down the wrong road in getting there. But we figured it out. As we were leaving, we did see a sign at the last turn that we had not seen on the way there.
My totally unreasonable ask (but it is done at the other sniff spot I frequent) is some way to clean off the dogs. The other place puts out towels. (I had brought towels with me, but it would be nice.) Also, a hose would be nice. But I realize this is totally unreasonable.Karen O.

55We had so much fun! My two pups loved all the interesting smells. And my ball crazy boy had the best time chasing all the balls. He unfortunately “killed” the exercise ball with his exuberance, but Danielle was very gracious about it. The indoor arena was very secure for my medium to large dogs and I think a little dog would have to work really hard to wiggle out of the couple spaces that *might* allow that. It was also very quiet except for chickens/roosters and the occasional gusts of wind. It was great to have a covered space out of the elements on this rainy winter morning. We’ll definitely be back! 55What a great and generous idea to use the arena as a sniffspot. It was pouring down rain today and this was the perfect getaway for some exercise. It’s clean and organized with clear signage about parking and entrance locations. There was a dog somewhere else in the barn area that we could hear bark occasionally, but I never saw the dog and it wasn’t an issue. The whole arena is well-secured (at least from a large dog perspective) and there was no chance of her getting into areas that she shouldn’t be. I would advise that you bring toys that are somewhat “sand-resistant”. They have a bucket filled with clean water, but I was using a tennis ball and it was covered in sand, which was not ideal for her so I will bring different types of toys next time. She had a great time and this was an ideal rainy day spot.Corey C.

FAQ about our Sherwood dog agility parks
Are dog agility parks safe?
While public off-leash dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, inattentive owners, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks are much safer than city parks. Contrary to a typical dog park, with Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect safe place for you and your dog. 93% of reviews on Sniffspot visits are 5 stars. As always, ensuring you use park dog agility equipment safely is also key to an enjoyable experience.

How do I know if a dog agility park works for my dog?
Owners commonly wonder about whether a park works for their dog. Start by applying basic filters, such as fencing and distractions, to find a fenced dog agility park that works for your dog. You can also filter on size to find a larger park or neighborhood parks. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our fully fenced dog agility parks. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our dog agility parks where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can read the description of the spot to see the details of the set up, such as whether there is commercial grade park equipment, and other amenities, such as park benches. Browse photos to get a sense for park design. We also recommend reading reviews and reaching out to the host with any questions, and of course, checking agility park hours.
