55We had a great time at Martin's! We booked an hour and it wasn't enough time to do all the trails. Would definitely recommend for a reactive dog. Lots to sniff and explore!Cat S.

55This spot is a gem! Martin met us when we arrived to give us a bit of an orientation and a map, which was a thoughtful touch. My dog can be reactive to strangers, and Martin worked with me to set up a meeting she could tolerate, which I really appreciated.
The trails themselves are clear and well maintained, even in winter. No sign of any other people or dogs while we were walking - this is a great spot for reactive dogs and their guardians to have a nice (relaxing!) outdoor adventure.
One section of trails runs closer to the road, so be mindful of that if you’re concerned about your pup running off. This wasn’t an issue for us - my girl doesn’t stray too far when we hike - but if that’s a concern for you, it would be easy to avoid that section. We’ll be back and definitely recommend this spot!Erin and Jason B.

55Amazing! Trails are well marked and maintained just as the description says. The map was handy for our first visit and areas to avoid were also clearly marked. There is a road on one side but the trails were much more interesting to the dogs. The sun came out, and we had beautiful mostly snow-covered trails. Dogs and humans had a great time. I appreciated the garbage can so I didn’t have to drive home with 💩 🤣. Thanks to the host for sharing this property!Stephanie N.

55We visited Martin’s Sniffspot for the first time on February 19 (Family Day weekend, and probably the last snowy weekend of this winter) and we all loved it, humans and dog alike! It was clear Martin put a lot of effort in making this a 5 star location with the maintained and marked trails on the huge and beautiful property, trail maps, and even a blog with all the latest updates. There were so many interesting smells for our dog to check out that it definitely put the “sniff” in Sniffspot! We appreciated the signs and caution tape for areas to avoid, as well as the garbage can at the front so we didn’t have to bring dog poop home in the car. Definitely looking forward to visiting again! Thanks Martin!YJ L.

55We had a great time! Martin is very friendly and accommodating, greeting us on arrival and providing a map of his well maintained trails. There was so much to explore and our dog is exhausted after all the sniffing and running around he got to do in a peaceful, safe space. Looking forward to future visits!Danielle L.

55Another wonderful visit! We love this spot. Great, well maintained trails, lots to sniff and explore, no sign of humans or dogs to set my girl off.
This should be expected in an Ontario spring but just in case it’s not: this is your reminder to wear something waterproof on your feet, as some areas are muddy and/or wet.Erin and Jason B.

55Really nice spot! The hives are well-marked which was great because I am afraid of bees haha. (Can't believe they were active in February!) My dog loved roaming around the trails. Lots to explore and sniff! Just a note to anyone whose dog's recall is not great, there are sections of the trails close to the road but they can be avoided entirely if you're worried. Oh and the owner has a garbage can for poop bags and a box of some toys by the parking spot which was so nice of them to leave out! Thank you! We will be back. Emma R.

55It was the beautiful trail with scenic view. Winter beauty and serenity gave us joyful comfort. Our host Martin was very friendly who welcomed us with a nice map 🗺️ of trail. Our dog Audrey was the happiest one to explore all over the trail safely. We will come back there again with nice hot cup of tea or coffee, enjoying nature while Audrey is running freely. FAQ about our Stratford dog parks
Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 94% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the Stratford area are 5 stars.
How do I know if a dog park works for my dog?
You can filter Sniffspot dog parks by fencing and distractions. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our 106 fully fenced dog parks in the area. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our 12 off leash areas where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can also filter locations to avoid other domestic animals and people. We also recommend reading reviews and reaching out to the host with any questions.
Does Stratford have any fully fenced dog parks?
Sniffspot has 106 fully fenced dog parks in or near Stratford. Browse all fully enclosed options.
