55Amazing spot with lots to explore. The weather was not ideal especially with a weather sensitive doggo, but despite that she had a blast exploring and sniffing the deer tracks in the snow.
Martin was extremely friendly and accommodating. He provided a map of the spot and explained areas to be cautious with due to weather conditions and the impact on the trails.
Will definitely be back to explore again! Completely recommend a trip to this spot!Jaquie D.

55Really nice spot! The hives are well-marked which was great because I am afraid of bees haha. (Can't believe they were active in February!) My dog loved roaming around the trails. Lots to explore and sniff! Just a note to anyone whose dog's recall is not great, there are sections of the trails close to the road but they can be avoided entirely if you're worried. Oh and the owner has a garbage can for poop bags and a box of some toys by the parking spot which was so nice of them to leave out! Thank you! We will be back. Emma R.

55This is a lovely property with well-developed trails that are clearly marked, making it easy for the first time visitor (like me) to get around. This has been an unusually mild February, so the ground was wet and muddy in places, which is not problem if you're prepared for that.
The spot is absolutely fantastic right now. My dog enjoyed running and sniffing and just being a dog (so much so, I forgot to take pictures!) I'm looking forward to our next visit.Wendy M.

55Lovely and very well maintained area. Our dogs and we had a great time at this place. The owner was very kind and even came out to greet us and passed the map with instruction. I did not have a chance to explore the whole place since it is very big. Definitely will be back!Vivian H.

55This spot is a gem! Martin met us when we arrived to give us a bit of an orientation and a map, which was a thoughtful touch. My dog can be reactive to strangers, and Martin worked with me to set up a meeting she could tolerate, which I really appreciated.
The trails themselves are clear and well maintained, even in winter. No sign of any other people or dogs while we were walking - this is a great spot for reactive dogs and their guardians to have a nice (relaxing!) outdoor adventure.
One section of trails runs closer to the road, so be mindful of that if you’re concerned about your pup running off. This wasn’t an issue for us - my girl doesn’t stray too far when we hike - but if that’s a concern for you, it would be easy to avoid that section. We’ll be back and definitely recommend this spot!Erin and Jason B.

55Amazing! Trails are well marked and maintained just as the description says. The map was handy for our first visit and areas to avoid were also clearly marked. There is a road on one side but the trails were much more interesting to the dogs. The sun came out, and we had beautiful mostly snow-covered trails. Dogs and humans had a great time. I appreciated the garbage can so I didn’t have to drive home with 💩 🤣. Thanks to the host for sharing this property!Stephanie N.

55This place is amazing!!! My dog had the time of his life running around the trails and was smiling the whole time. He could have happily spent his entire day there. The host was super nice too, provided a map and the area was well labelled which i appreciate because I’m directionally challenged! Will definitely be back :)Dayna E.

55Amazing spot! Trails were very well marked and Martin met us and went through the map with us which was very helpful!
We went on a mild day in January and it was snowy and wet, waterproof boots were definitely needed! I wore rainboots but winter boots would have been better, the water isn't very deep in most places and easy to avoid where it is.
Definitely recommend! Megan B.

FAQ about our Stratford dog parks
Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 94% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the Stratford area are 5 stars.
How do I know if a dog park works for my dog?
You can filter Sniffspot dog parks by fencing and distractions. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our 143 fully fenced dog parks in the area. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our 14 off leash areas where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can also filter locations to avoid other domestic animals and people. We also recommend reading reviews and reaching out to the host with any questions.
