Two thumbs up! My dogs loved playing in the creek and had plenty of space to run off their zoomies. The creek is a nice size and deep enough in some spots for the dogs to swim.

Dogs loved it! We loved it! Easy to find. Close to downtown Weaverville. Private and mostly shaded. Such a great sniffspot!

This was such a great spot to hang out! Super clean and solid shoreline with a mix of fast/slow/shallow/deep water; we were able to play fetch without the ball getting swept downstream, and there was plenty of really well kept grass to play on as well. I was a little anxious about not having a fence, but there’s a border of tall grass and the spot is private enough and set far enough away from distractions that I was able to keep my dog’s attention on the water and sticking close, and it was great practice for his recall. There were some neighbor dogs that you could hear but not see, so this probably isn’t a good fit for a reactive or runner dog.

What a nice spot on a hot summer day!! Ample shade, chairs, even a long tie-out for the pups to roam but still be on a lead. Bugs and ticks are around, but it’s July in the mountains. :) Our pup had a blast.

This place is absolutely amazing! Definitely planning to come back before cold weather comes back to town! Our shepherds absolutely loved it. One is an old guy with bad hips and it was the perfect spot for him to relax and walk around, he even got a chance to get into the water! It was a perfect spot for us to get our young dogs acclimated to swimming safely. Did not have to worry about random dogs and place us VERY VERY clean. One thing I’d say is make sure your dog is on monthly tick prevention, we did find several on us and the dogs which is 100% out of everyone’s control this time of year! Definitely recommend this spot to everyone!!

This little oasis is a bit hard to find and the driveway going in is pretty rough, but once you get there it’s totally worth it. The creek has a few patches deep enough for dogs to swim, and a lot of more shallow spots that they can play in even if they don’t like going in all the way. We did almost get one of our big Jolly balls lost in a copse of sticks, but in the end we were able to fish it out with a long enough stick. Definitely bring bug spray and make sure your pups are up to date on tick meds; even my husband ended up with a couple ticks. Still, the view is amazing and the location is serene and wonderful. Absolutely beautiful. Owners are so sweet and accommodating. My pup ran around solo for 30 minutes and we played for 30 minutes….and she’s FINALLY tired!

We loved our time at The Green Door! Charlie and Honey both got to enjoy their favorite pastimes. Charlie could chase the ball while Honey went on a scavenger hunt around the yard! LOL! Chris greeted us to make sure we were doing alright and had all our beeds met before we even got there. Honey particularly loved the special treat he left for her! I am sure we will go back again. Alice and Finley had a great time exploring all the different areas in the yard. Chris is a terrific, generous host and we appreciated the fresh water, the dog safe toys and balls, and different places to perch while watching the dogs sniff and run. We'll definitely be back!

Bella and I LOVED our trip to this Sniffspot! It was better than described. The area was bigger than I thought with tons of plants and different types of grass and clover and dirt… there were hills she could climb and also plenty of flat surfaces. There was shade and sun. There were so many fun toys, plenty of balls to throw and stuffed toys too. Lots of lovely wind chimes throughout the area was a nice touch. There was also lots of great seating options! Not to mention the care you could tell the owners put in to the details: we had a personal note with a treat to get started, there was a full bowl of (cold) water waiting on us, and a small cooler with waters for us humans, they had bags for poop, treats, toys, balls, even bug spray! All organized very nicely. You could really feel the love they put in to making this place special. Also, easy private parking and entrance through the gate. I will 100% be returning and would strongly recommend this spot to anyone interested. Thanks so much to The Green Door Private Dog Park!

This was our second visit to the Green Door park, so obviously we are fans! The property is quiet and shady and there’s plenty of room for the pups to tear around. We appreciate the water and treats for the dogs.

The entire experience here was so thoughtful. Jun loved chasing all the tennis balls and sniffing out the various toys. The space was perfect; I felt like I could see her from almost anywhere but the terrain was still varied enough to keep it interesting for her. She got so tired running up and down the hill! This is such a gem and I’m sure we’ll be back!

Our dogs loved the opportunity to run around off leash among trees and other interesting features. The space has a significant grade to it, but this added extra exercise for my high energy dogs (running up and down the hill). The owner was very nice and even left treats and water for the pups.
