With sweeping views of the entire valley, this spot sits high above Highway 10 and the Yakima river about 1 mile up a gravel road. Minimum traffic assures your dogs safety. The spot has natural grasses and brush so long pants are suggested. Dogs and their humans will be supplied a cooler of bottled water, dog bowls, tennis balls, poop bags and a small garbage can. Our SniffSpot is located in the woods north of Chelan. You and your pup can roam our property as well as Wenatchee National Forest and DNR land. We regularly see deer, coyote, and other wildlife. Our property is not fenced, so you'll need good recall and perhaps some treats. While I am sure there could be rattlesnakes here, we have not seen one in the 9 years we have been on this property. When we had dogs, they roamed freely and without incident.

Max & Dexter LOVED the 90 minutes we spent here today!! Will definitely be back, the property is simply stunning! Good place to chill from the city. Though small dogs could be tough since their fence is more for horses therefore there’s a pretty big gap for small dogs to go through. But would love to visit again still since it’s such a nice area.

This is just an amazing place to visit. From the pond with the fountain, to the fenced play areas, to the creek and the chairs for tires dog parents - it really is a Dog Nirvana. I felt very lucky to take my doggos there today and we will definitely be back. Great place to practice recall and “leave it” with the ducks/geese :)

Just when I thought this spot couldn't get any better, it did. There is the addition of three agility toys: a tunnel, seesaw, and hoop to jump through. This place is great for letting a dog be a dog. My playful (humane society adopted) Shibador loves to run behind the stables or a tree so I can't see her. Then when I do my "oh, where has Skye gone" and pretend to be upset, she comes running out so I can see her. After some self play time to get the wiggles out, it is also a great place to work on off-leash training skills. This is my all time favorite place to take my.dog. We always have but she is also safe from wandering away on her own. If I could, I would give a million stars!!!

This SniffSpot is amazing!!! Laurie was so welcoming and communicative. There are many pastures for fetching and the dogs LOVED swimming in the pond. The entire property has a fence around it but FYI the pond isn’t in its own enclosure so if your dog doesn’t have recall they could definitely try to find their way to another part of the property but won’t be able to get out. Can’t wait to come back!

This spot is amazing! We have a 75lb and a 15lb dog and while the little guy (a Boston Terrier puppy) can run between the paddocks under the fences, he couldn't "escape" the property, which was great! The boys had a fabulous time here and even our human kids had a nice little picnic by the pond. We will be back!

Are dog fields safe?

If you are looking for an adventure, but also looking for safety, Sniffspot dog fields are a great option. While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, distracted dog owners, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks are much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private space for just you and doggy friends you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). Especially for training, privacy is ideal. You can review the details of the listing to make sure it works as your desired activity space, for example, safe dog exercise, dog training, a stress-free adventure with your furry friend or even a puppy event. You can even check the park amenities chart for amenities such as indoor training facilities, agility field, synthetic turf, exercise balls or field parking availability in advance. If inclement weather is an issue or poor field conditions, you can reschedule your visit up to 2 hours in advance.

What are the requirements to bring my dog to a Sniffspot dog field?

We require that all four-legged friends have basic vaccinations or equivalent titers. We do not allow dogs with a bite history. We require that guests sign our waiver and agree to follow our safety rules. Make sure to check host rules before visiting to ensure, for instance, that you are following allowable sports activities rules and any special events rules.

Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot field at the same time as me?

No. Facility rentals are for private play time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the area during visits, so this is perfect for a private adventure for you and your doggie friends, and perhaps a human friend. Hosts understand that many guests have dogs in training and are nervous owners. So when you book a Sniffspot dog field you have the entire private spot to yourself. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between time slots so you will not run into other guest dogs or a previous person when coming or leaving in the field parking area. Some hosts may have multiple fields, but there is always a buffer between fields.
