55Amazing sniffspot! So beautiful here, it was a perfect hike without the worry of my dogs becoming reactive to people/dogs. My dogs had the best time here! The host was so kind and responded quickly to any questions I had. Truly an amazing spot!Shannon L.

55Such a great property! I got confused trying to figure out the hike (you have to go about .75 miles right on the Powerline trail), but that was okay as it got hot very quickly today. My boy had a blast and he’s super tired from getting all his sniffs and running in. We’ll be back!Chantalle v.

55My dog smiled the whole way! Great hike for dogs and their hoomans. There is a steep hill before you get to the power line trail but then it's fairly flat. The blackberries were a yummy treat. We passed some animal droppings so if you have a dog that likes to roll in all things gross, just keep an eye out. Our dogs DNA is 99.9% chicken and shes usually sensitive to noise. :) The power lines give off a loud buzzing when you are under them but she was totally fine and not bothered. We will be back for sure! So grateful for sniffspot hosts!Wendy F.

55This spot is amazing. Our dog was exhausted by the end. The trail is well maintained and easy to follow. We booked two hours so we could do the hike. Be prepared to go uphill a bit. Overall, it was a great experience for both me and my dog. We will definitely be back!Ashlee W.

55We had a great time on this hike!! Great exercise for the dogs and humans. The view at the end is quite beautiful. Instructions to get to the place were easy to follow. Easy parking and the signs as to where to go are clear. We are moderate hikers, and two hours is a decent amount of time to do the hike, gives you about 15 minutes to hang out at the top. Erika P.

55Cloudy and little windy day, but we enjoyed hiking all the way to the top again. My high energy 3 GSDs had a good time and soaked up at the pond when we got back. One of my dogs is high anxiety girl, so this is the place where she can little calm and enjoy a hiking. Highly recommend if you have reactive dogs or high anxiety dogs.Akane M.

55Incredible spot to for dogs who love to hike but don’t do well with other dogs on the trail. Host provided excellent instructions for hiking up to the view point, the hike took us a little less than 90 minutes round trip but I’d suggest 2 hours for the first time so you don’t have to rush. Beautiful view from the top.Nina H.

55Lovely Sniffspot with wide paths and a good line of sight once you're out of the forest. Note that it might be a tricky spot for sound sensitive dogs, as we heard gunshots throughout our walk + the powerlines were quite noisy.Jenn G.

55So much room for the dogs to run! Love this place and will definitely be back although probably not during the wet season as I can see how it would be pretty muddy and slippery then. There is one spot at the beginning as you are heading down the trail that it runs very close to the road so you may want to leave your dog(s) leashed until you pass this point and leash them up on the return for the same reason.Corey T.

55Wow! Such an awesome property. This was my first visit; my dog Teddy had a blast! He ran & ran, then got a cool drink from the creek. Beautiful woods with a trail to hike. Signage was clear, as well as access instructions. Wonderful Sniffspot to visit. Everything was great. Just be sure your pup stays leashed at the beginning of the trail because the road is nearby. On the way back Teddy got ahead of me and when I reached him he had just begun to walk in the road. Next time I'm in Mount Vernon we will be back!Jacki D.

55Awesome trail. Only really one little spot that makes me nervous that it isn’t fenced because it’s right by the road, but my dogs didn’t even notice. Then a big open field we got to play fetch on. SeanahLisa C.

55I love hiking and this was the perfect place for me and my reactive dog. The property is amazing and the trails are clear and wide. I just booked for 1.5 hr and it wasn't enough, next time I will book for two hours because I feel I didn't explore the whole territory. Bring a bottle of water for your dog, mine was panting once we were up the hill and looking for water but still he had a chance to drink from the creek on our way back. I will go back again. We loved it😍.Veronika S.

55Great spot - actual trails and hiking. lots of space to roam and play. We did the hike that’s mentioned in the description and found that 2.5 hrs gave us enough time to be leisurely about it. If you’re short like me and want to go at a faster pace, you might consider bringing along hiking poles - especially if it’s been raining. The trail was dry for this trip but I would have wanted a bit more stability for going downhill if it had rained recently.
There’s a few spots that require getting through a bit of somewhat thorny overgrowth so plan accordingly with what you wear. We didn’t encounter wildlife other than birds but Mozi’s nose definitely caught some interesting scents a few times so I kept him on a long line. This trails at the Sniffspot are well maintained and clear so didn’t have any trouble w long line getting caught and Mozi had plenty of fun running free.
Gps/cell signal is patchy driving in this area so I recommend folks download the map to/from.
All in all, worth a visit if you’re in the area! Sudha N.

All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 93% of reviews on Sniffspot visits are 5 stars.
