Notice: We are closing the spot on May 23rd for maintenance. Sorry for the inconvenience. Grass and rain: Please keep in mind that during moderate to heavy rains the area without mulch can get muddy. Beginning May of 2024, we will post pictures daily to our Instagram account showing the condition of the spot. As you can imagine, due to the wear and tear the spot gets, it’s difficult to keep the grass alive. However, we do our best to reseed during the spring. BarkPark sits right across the street from The Salvation Army Freedom Center. This spot is fully fenced (chain link and wood) with the side facing the sidewalk being 5ft and the rest of the fence being 6ft. There is a dual-gate entrance to the spot for a safe entry and exit. Street parking is available. There is plenty of seating at this spot with shade throughout the day. There's a rain barrel filled with water for dogs to hydrate and cool down. We have water bowls available. GIANT sandbox that's great for digging and playing; no digging elsewhere please. On hot days, we do our best to keep the sand wet. Trash can onsite. We have poop bags available in two different areas for easy access. Half of this spot is covered with grass and the other half with playground mulch. This spot is big enough to get a good fetch session in or to just let the zoomies out. We also recently added agility equipment. We hope you and your four-legged friend/s have an exceptional time during your visit and choose to come back. Lost toys and items: Due to the amount of visits we get we aren’t able to track which items belong to which guest. If you’ve lost a dog toy or other item, please reach out and we’ll do our best to retrieve it and hold it for you. If you don’t reach out, we’ll hold onto it for a week and then add it to the Lost and Found Toy Box. Water: The dog drinking water gets changed 1-2 times per week, depending on the temperature/usage. During the winter months we empty the water barrel. If your dog/s require water during the winter months, we ask that you please bring your own. Food: You’re welcomed to bring food but we ask that you please clean up as a courtesy to other guests. Future additions: We hope to add more amenities over time. Our plans are to add more sand to the sandbox in late April or early May of 2024. We’re also hoping to have on-site parking around mid summer of 2024. If you have any suggestions for amenities, we’d love to hear your feedback.

The dog parks are self-supervised. Use at your own risk. Dogs must wear current license tags and be up-to-date on shots. Dogs must be on a leash when entering and exiting the dog parks. Dog handlers must be sixteen (16) years or older, in the park within view of their dogs and carry a leash at all times. No more than three (3) dogs per person are allowed on any one visit. Handlers are responsible and liable for the behavior of their dogs at all times, including injuries caused by their dog(s). No dogs known to be aggressive may enter the area and must be removed at the first sign of aggression. If an altercation or emergency occurs, the police should be called immediately. For emergencies, dial 911, for non-emergencies call 630.293.2222. South Paw Dog Park is only for dogs weighing less than thirty (30) pounds. Small dogs are allowed in Wiggly Field Dog Park at their own risk. Female dogs in heat are not allowed in the dog parks. Spayed/neutered dogs are recommended. For safety reasons, children under sixteen (16) years of age must be under the direct supervision of an adult and are expected to behave in an appropriate manner. No running, no chasing dogs, no climbing on the dog agility equipment, and no petting of other dogs unless permission is requested from the handler first. Be polite: Pick up dog feces and dispose of them in waste receptacles. Failure to pick up after your dog could result in a $75 fine. Cover any holes your dog digs.

Great space for a dog romp! It was clean and had everything you could need. Our pup is reactive, and the neighborhood was a bit too noisy for her. Though, it really is pretty secluded for the city.

Great experience at Barkpark! The place is well maintained, the fence give great privacy and even if one of my dog tried to stretch on it was high enough! Ginny also learn to play tug of war with the toys attached to a tree!! Definitely will come back with more friends to play!!!

Just as great as we expected! Lots of space, easy to get to. My dog had fun exploring the agility course, the sand, and playing fetch. I appreciate that there are water bowls to fill, a trash can for doggy bags, a picnic table to sit at and easy parking. I will definitely be going there again.

My dog loved it here! The sand pit was a positive for her because she loves to dig. Easy to find, plenty of street parking, and clean! Definitely a noisy area because of its location but no signs of other dogs and the fence is completely covered so dogs can’t see out :) Will be returning in the future
