It’s a steep hill up with natural woodland ground, lots of ferns, beautiful nature untouched. Old trails exist, we have not cleared them in recent years, feel free to explore them if you would like to just know, they are not maintained and certain times of year there is brush and ferns. We have running water with a hose for your convenience at our pump house. You may occasionally see myself, my husband or my elderly mother by the house, and patio, working on the property and gardens, area around our home. We live above farms that takes care of their fields so you may hear mowing in the distance in the valley we set above. Please do not pick, or disturb the fruit on the trees. Please keep children, and all guests off the fence line, and do not step on the gates or fencing. Shut the gates when coming, and going. Please leash your dog/dogs upon arrival until you become aware of the setting. Your reservation must include the correct number of dogs in your visit that is stated in your reservation time. Correct or update this if need be before you start your visit at Barkley Park. We are happy to share our safe quiet countryside with pups and their people. Our property is located off the Burn Road in Arlington and is 5 acres, 1 of which is fully fenced and there are about 3+ acres of woods that have a trails throughout that we are constantly trying to add onto. Access to the backyard will be through the double gates on the south side of the house. Access to the trails can be either gate along the back fence. We just ask that you close whichever gate you use upon entrance and exit. The trails currently are just shy of 1/4 of mile looping back to the gates of the fenced in backyard. We do have a seasonal pond in the woods that we plan on trying to expand access too (it’s a work in progress). The fence is 3.5 feet high split rail with chain link very secure, the back portion of fencing is strictly chain link same height but acts as a natural looking wild fence. Dogs can play ball, sniff around, and run off lease in the fenced yard. Dogs with good recall can be off leash on the trails and run throughout. We do have neighbors where our woods end that are mostly fenced but some do not have fencing (which is why recall is needed). There is no delineation between the neighbor to the north’s huge pasture area which would be off limits. Please enjoy yourself and let us know if you have any ideas to add to the property. A super nice area! The long grass was super satisfying for my hound mix to smell. It's very uneven ground so bring stable shoes! We will be back for more fun soon!

Nice, well maintained area, clear direction, toys and garbage supplied. Chairs available and very clean environment. Felt very safe for me and my pups. The two man gates do not have any mesh fencing on them so smaller dogs might be able to wiggle through but my dogs and I had a wonderful time!

Very nice pasture to run dogs, with a lot of attention to detail to items that make the spot a pleasant experience for the dogs and owners. Neat and tidy, lawn chairs, and dog toys available.

This spot is great! There is lots of space to run fast and many interesting smells. Liina enjoyed her visit and had her "party ears" on the whole time. The amenities were as described and I really appreciate the chairs. We'll definitely be back often.

This is a great spot! The area is truly fully fenced, while walking the perimeter I saw maybe one or two spots on the creek side that maybe a small dog could get under. We did see neighbors horses but there was an entire fenced field between Sniffspot and horse field, so safe for dogs that like to chase the bigger animals! When we first arrived the hosts dogs were visible and barking in their own fenced area, my dog reactive pup didn’t seem to notice them but the host did let them in shortly. Will definitely return!

I have been to this location several times, with a friend of mine and our two dogs. Today, I was alone with both her dog and my dog (her dog’s birthday … my treat!). The pups had such a good time! There is so much to explore, sniff, and pee on at this property. Whether in the wooded back portion, or in the huge open field up front, the dogs are clearly in their happy space. The space is just huge! The owner provides water, poop bags, and cans to dispose of said poop at a couple of locations on the property. I also like the fact it is fully fenced, giving me peace of mind. My dog, in particular, likes to explore a bit on his own, and I am confident he is not going to get outside of the property. Barb is all prepared for the rainy season in the PNW! Bridges over creeks are in place and straw is on the trails as needed. Wonder-dog and his friend Posey were ecstatic running full blast into and out of streams and puddles. Such a fun hour. Looking forward to returning 🐕‍🦺💛🐕💚

While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks are much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). Sniffspot only allows one booking at a time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the spot during visits. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between bookings.
