Country Run's Private Ranch is 58 acres located just shy of one mile off of Highway 285 off of Pleasant Park Road. An amazing location - a hidden gem. As you walk from the parking area along the path, the property opens up into a beautiful aspen forest with wooden benches and a large meadow. Half way down the meadow on the left (west) side is a small riparian area with Alder trees - the beginning of several spring fed creeks. The hillside on the east side of the property offers rock outcroppings, large rock benches and 360 views. Our dogs thoroughly enjoy their time here and we hope your dog does, too! Depending on the time of year, the spring fed area can be muddy, an old towel is recommended for the drive home. This property is perfect for dog walks, picnics and celebrations. The Buena Vista Municipal Code requires that all dogs on public property be on a leash no greater than 20 feet. Electronic Collars do not count as leashes. While they can be a great addition to a leash, Town rules state that all dogs must be on a physical leash. The Town of Buena Vista has a dog off-leash area at the Rodeo Grounds. This area is from the hedgerow off Rodeo road, to Gregg drive, to the new Drone park, and West to the entrance to Rodeo Grounds. AS well as the dog park within the fenced-in area. Even in the off-leash areas and all public parks and rights-of-way, you are responsible for picking up your dog's poop. When visiting the Town's park, your dog must remain on a leash at all times. No dogs can be on any playing fields owned by the Town. The areas include Sheila Stout Memorial Softball Field, the Youth Baseball Field, the High School Baseball Field, and the Town's Soccer Field.

Amazing property - well worth the drive. All fenced in, but the fencing still allows viewing of all the outside nature. Clean and well maintained. Fun combo of nature and agility. Absolutely amazing - this place exceeded our expectations! The fencing was secure enough for my 2 huskies, absolutely no worries there! I do competitive agility with one of my huskies, and the equipment here is top notch. Fun to practice a few obstacles while enjoying the spot! This was a fantastic place to let my dogs run around. I was on a road trip and this was worth the detour. The dogs had fun with all the agility equipment and with the space to roam. There was fresh water and tons of toys for the dogs to play with. There were many nice places to sit and watch the dogs. Excellent communication from the host. The place is lovely and the amenities really made a difference (water, agility equipment). It's a very pretty drive from Denver but be prepared for a kind of rough dirt road on the final couple miles. If you actually follow the directions you'll find it easy enough. Took us a couple tries😛. The fencing makes the space very secure. Lots of trees, rocks and terrain to explore. Finn had fun roaming, playing on the agility equipment and trying to break into the owners home lol. If you are looking for something more adventurous than the typical sniffspot backyard, check it out.

If you are looking for an adventure, but also looking for safety, Sniffspot dog fields are a great option. You can even check the park amenities chart for amenities such as indoor training facilities, agility field, synthetic turf, exercise balls or field parking availability in advance. If inclement weather is an issue or poor field conditions, you can reschedule your visit up to 2 hours in advance.

What are the requirements to bring my dog to a Sniffspot dog field?

We require that all four-legged friends have basic vaccinations or equivalent titers. We do not allow dogs with a bite history. We require that guests sign our waiver and agree to follow our safety rules. Make sure to check host rules before visiting to ensure, for instance, that you are following allowable sports activities rules and any special events rules.

Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot field at the same time as me?

No. Facility rentals are for private play time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the area during visits, so this is perfect for a private adventure for you and your doggie friends, and perhaps a human friend. Hosts understand that many guests have dogs in training and are nervous owners. So when you book a Sniffspot dog field you have the entire private spot to yourself. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between time slots so you will not run into other guest dogs or a previous person when coming or leaving in the field parking area. Some hosts may have multiple fields, but there is always a buffer between fields.
