Country Run's 58 Acre Private Ranch In Conifer

Country Run's Private Ranch is 58 acres located just shy of one mile off of Highway 285 off of Pleasant Park Road. An amazing location - a hidden gem. As you walk from the parking area along the path, the property opens up into a beautiful aspen forest with wooden benches and a large meadow. Half way down the meadow on the left (west) side is a small riparian area with Alder trees - the beginning of several spring fed creeks. The hillside on the east side of the property offers rock outcroppings, large rock benches and 360 views. Our dogs thoroughly enjoy their time here and we hope your dog does, too! Depending on the time of year, the spring fed area can be muddy, an old towel is recommended for the drive home. This property is perfect for dog walks, picnics and celebrations. This is not the average suburban development -- this is more like hiking in the National Forest. Lots of squirrels to chase, sniffs to enjoy and hills to run up and down. You won't have any issues with dogs or people on adjacent properties! This property is surrounded by National Forest and unfenced/unused private property. In addition, you have another acre for agility, complete with jumps, tunnels, dog walk, a-frame, teeter, etc. All high end equipment. The running surface is flat & covered with wood chips. The wood chips are all from local trees, so no worries about added chemicals, etc.

Melissa’s place is wonderful! The land and space is so peaceful and our pup loved the agility course! Melissa also made some thoughtful accommodations for us after I made a scheduling mistake. We were grateful to still be able to have the time there. It was great and we hope to be back soon.

Such a great spot! We really enjoyed using the agility equipment and wandering in the forest area. The spot was well equipped with water, toys, chairs and poop disposal can. The instructions provided by the host were clear and thorough. The forest area is on a hill, so best to wear good shoes if you plan on going down hill.

Amazing place! Very clean and well fenced in. My dog loved the peace & quiet, agility course and varying terrain. We really appreciated being able to relax with NO other dogs barking at the fence or in the distance. Wear good shoes/boots for yourself. We all left very tired and happy! Absolutely will return.

Amazing property - well worth the drive. All fenced in, but the fencing still allows viewing of all the outside nature. Clean and well maintained. Fun combo of nature and agility. Water provided, as well as a place for poop! Owner was super friendly and accommodating. Absolutely love it! And the dogs agree too!

Absolutely amazing - this place exceeded our expectations! The fencing was secure enough for my 2 huskies, absolutely no worries there! I do competitive agility with one of my huskies, and the equipment here is top notch. Fun to practice a few obstacles while enjoying the spot! The property is quite steep so make sure you wear good shoes. We can’t wait to come back again and again! Thank you Melissa for allowing our dogs this wonderful opportunity.

Are dog fields safe?

If you are looking for an adventure, but also looking for safety, Sniffspot dog fields are a great option. While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, distracted dog owners, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks are much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private space for just you and doggy friends you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). Especially for training, privacy is ideal. If your dog has poor recall, you can visit one of our secure fields. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our dog fields where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can review the details of the listing to make sure it works as your desired activity space, for example, safe dog exercise, dog training, a stress-free adventure with your furry friend or even a puppy event. You can even check the park amenities chart for amenities such as indoor training facilities, agility field, synthetic turf, exercise balls or field parking availability in advance. If inclement weather is an issue or poor field conditions, you can reschedule your visit up to 2 hours in advance.

What are the requirements to bring my dog to a Sniffspot dog field?

We require that all four-legged friends have basic vaccinations or equivalent titers. We do not allow dogs with a bite history. We require that guests sign our waiver and agree to follow our safety rules. Make sure to check host rules before visiting to ensure, for instance, that you are following allowable sports activities rules and any special events rules.

Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot field at the same time as me?

No. Facility rentals are for private play time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the area during visits, so this is perfect for a private adventure for you and your doggie friends, and perhaps a human friend. Hosts understand that many guests have dogs in training and are nervous owners. So when you book a Sniffspot dog field you have the entire private spot to yourself. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between time slots so you will not run into other guest dogs or a previous person when coming or leaving in the field parking area. Some hosts may have multiple fields, but there is always a buffer between fields.
