Top Public and Private Dog hiking trails in Cowichan Bay, British Columbia

Our dogs love running in "the field" and walking the trails, and playing hide and seek, so we decided to share it with you. Please enjoy our fully fenced 5-acre field and wooded area. We have opened up the back trails for exploration. We are constantly checking and working on to keep clear of large debris and overgrowth. The back section can get quite flooded especially after snow and rain, but you are welcome to explore and get muddy. We have a hose hooked up to the water in the field just in case. Right now and through summer it should be dry. We have added on a fire pit / s’mores add on option. Check it out for an even more relaxing experience by our camping fire pit. Fully/securely fenced 20 acre spot with a hay field & orchard in the front (mowed perimeter & cross paths). The back half is forested and has maintained trails throughout. There's covered seating in the field & woods, portapotty, drinking water station, toys etc - see amenities for more details. The seasonal ponds are shrinking and dry by summer, a couple of the larger ones are mud holes until then. Expect a dirty dog if they like that kind of thing - rinse station on site, bring your own towels. Reservations are available up to 30 days in advance. Some days fill fast but plans can change & bookings get modified/canceled (2+hrs beforehand) - check back for an opening if interested. First time visitors get an auto-message 2hrs beforehand with helpful info.
