55Perfect spot. Completely fenced huge open area with areas of bushes and trees to make it interesting, perfect place for a dog who loves to run full speed. Our dog loved it. Thoughtfully left dog toys and balls and water bowls. We will be back for sureJules W.

55We loved it! It was great being able to let our dog run and sniff unencumbered by our small yard, and unruly dogs at the dog park. What a beautiful location. Nice to sit and look at the surrounding hills while he played.Susan H.

55I forgot to take pictures. It was a foggy morning after a wet night. The ground was not at all muddy. My dog had a great time runny, sniffing and peeing. We went to a training class afterwards and Quinn had burned off enough energy to behave like a civilized boy.Tina C.

55Rico and I love this spot. Plenty of room to run and lots to sniff. Also allows me the opportunity to reinforce training if he decides he wants to chase and bark at cars.
I’ve been been coming to this spot since April and will continue to do so as long as the host graciously allows their space to utilIzed.Annie A.

55Another great play day at Pepper Road Play Park! Soooo much space, so many gopher holes to sniff - there is truly something for every dog to enjoy! It’s clean, no other dogs around if reactivity is an issue like it is for us - just wish we lived closer! Thanks Nancy!!! We will be back!Renée A.

55We love this spot, we only have one where we live and there's a pool, so the drive to Petaluma is it for us! This place is clean, it's beautiful, I find myself mesmerized by the sky, and my dogs love to chase the trucks or cars as they pull up the road; they have so much fun here!! This was our second time, and I love to come just before the sun is setting. Great host!! My dog Bubby knew we were going here and cried THE ENTIRE way up, he was soooooooooooo excited!!! I like to bring my own poop bags, but appreciate that the hostess has bags there too! There's also a shovel, so, if you visit and see "left overs" from other visitors, please shovel the poop in to the trash cans!!! Be helpful if you can; occasionally people miss it, and in order to keep places like this available, let's be good park partners! <3 Thank you Nancy for yet another beautiful hour of romping, zoomies and gopher hunting! 55Lovely open area for my dog to run. Easy entry and parking inside the area. We were there at dusk the first time and it was really beautiful. My dog is not reactive, but just needs a big yard to run. Susan H.

FAQ about our El Cerrito dog fields
Are dog fields safe?
If you are looking for an adventure, but also looking for safety, Sniffspot dog fields are a great option. While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, distracted dog owners, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks are much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private space for just you and doggy friends you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). Especially for training, privacy is ideal. Contrary to public dog parks, all Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog for off leash exercise or outdoor training. 93% of reviews on Sniffspot visits are 5 stars, while public dog parks often do not even have verified reviews. All payment is done securely online by credit card in a few simple clicks.
How can I find dog fields in El Cerrito?
There are 29 dog fields in the El Cerrito area. The most popular dog field is Pond and Field. You can browse all of our dog fields here.
How do I know if a dog field works for my dog?
All park rental information is available online. Start by filtering parks by fencing, size and distractions, to find a private spot that works for your dog. If your dog has poor recall, you can visit one of our secure fields. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our dog fields where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can review the details of the listing to make sure it works as your desired activity space, for example, safe dog exercise, dog training, a stress-free adventure with your furry friend or even a puppy event. You can even check the park amenities chart for amenities such as indoor training facilities, agility field, synthetic turf, exercise balls or field parking availability in advance. If inclement weather is an issue or poor field conditions, you can reschedule your visit up to 2 hours in advance.
What are the requirements to bring my dog to a Sniffspot dog field?
We require that all four-legged friends have basic vaccinations or equivalent titers. We do not allow dogs with a bite history. We require that guests sign our waiver and agree to follow our safety rules. Make sure to check host rules before visiting to ensure, for instance, that you are following allowable sports activities rules and any special events rules.
Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot field at the same time as me?
No. Facility rentals are for private play time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the area during visits, so this is perfect for a private adventure for you and your doggie friends, and perhaps a human friend. Hosts understand that many guests have dogs in training and are nervous owners. So when you book a Sniffspot dog field you have the entire private spot to yourself. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between time slots so you will not run into other guest dogs or a previous person when coming or leaving in the field parking area. Some hosts may have multiple fields, but there is always a buffer between fields.
