55Gina is super nice and welcomed us upon arrival to show us around. The property is great! Really big with multiple trails in a forest-kind of setting (cleared, not overgrown), space to sit, and also a big grassy area to play fetch. She also has some toys and long leashes available if anybody would want to use them. Totally recommend the place!Jessica B.

55This place was fantastic! It was the perfect place for an off-leash adventure. We walked the trails and ended up in a clearing where there was plenty room for MANY rounds of fetch. Off-leash play was just what my dog needed. She came away exhausted and happy. The owner, Gina, is welcoming and knowledgable about dogs, always a plus:) She had everything one would need available for use, from long line leads, clean water bowls, to a handwashing station. The space to roam was exactly what I was looking for. Nice and shaded too! My dog loved it here! Thank you Gina! Kat k.

55Gina was a wonderful host and the property was perfect for our Labs. The trails offered plenty of opportunities for sniffing, running, and exploring. As Gina notes, the property isn't fully fenced and we did see a few deer on the back trails. Luckily, our dogs were too distracted by tree fuzzies to notice. As we were leaving, Gina's well behaved German Shepherd was on her porch observing quietly. Instead of wanting to go play with it, our dogs were so tired they made a beeline for the car and slept all the way home.
A few things to note: There's a sweet old horse roaming freely around her property and a coop of chickens on the right as you walk back to the trails.
Also, you can hear the neighboring dog's barking, as you approach their property line which might be a concern for some. Overall, we had a fantastic time and would highly recommend this property for dog owners looking for a peaceful and enjoyable getaway.

55Beautiful property and super nice host. Once you’re into the area there is a ton of room for the dogs to run for fetch and to explore. You are in a neighborhood and there isn’t really secure fencing for small dogs but they were so excited by the huge field, rolling hill, and beautiful paths through the tall trees the couldn’t be bothered!
We all loved this place and will definitely be back.Michael S.

55This is wonderful property with lots of room to explore. The listing contains an accurate description too. We walked down a hill to an open, grassy area. From here, you have a peekaboo view of the neighboring house. There were a couple vehicles parked in the open area and at first I thought we were encroaching on the neighbor’s property, but that wasn’t the case. The neighbor is located across the street. We walked through the grassy area to the woods and a short path led us to an open meadow. There was a drainage pond on one side and in the distance was a working gravel pit. It was far enough away that my dog wasn’t bothered by it or interested in investigating it. We spent quite a bit of time exploring the area. We didn’t see any wildlife but there were a lot of deer droppings so I’m sure depending on the time of day you go, there will be deer in sight. We went back through the woods back to the grassy area. I kept my dog on the opposite side of the area from the neighbor’s house which includes a beautiful wooded area. There really aren’t any manicured trails through these woods, but if you don’t mind walking through sword ferns it’s fairly easy walking. It was a pleasant surprise to see that no berry vines had made their way into this area. Rather, native plants like Sword Ferns, Salal, Oregon Grape, Hemlocks, Doug Firs, Vine Maples, and an occasional wild rose were flourishing.
We really enjoyed this spot. It was big enough and had varied enough terrain that it kept us busy for a full hour. We will definitely be back!
For reactive dog parents: I have a reactive dog and was worried at first about the proximity of the neighbor’s house. However, we didn’t see anyone or any dog and it’s a big enough space that I felt comfortable with being able to keep my dog interested in the areas away from the neighbor’s property. I think it’s pretty low risk that you’d have any problem’s unless your dog doesn’t stay with you or respond to your voice. Bonnie B.

55This is one of our new favorite Sniffspots. There’s so much room to run and explore. We spent half of our time in the big open field through the woods and the second half of our time in the woods. If you like to explore natural wooded areas and are not fussy about manicured trails this is the spot for you: your dog will have a blast and you both will get a great workout. For reactive dog parents: If you’re worried about your dog running over to the neighbors house I’d suggest walking them on a leash down the hill and then either through the open grass area to the meadow or to the woods which are are your left side when you get to the open area. Overall a great spot and we plan on coming back often.Bonnie B.

55Leslie provided clear directions to their property as GPS does sometimes mess things up, and it was easy to find. One of our dogs has an issue with other people and other animals so they let me know they had their dogs in the house so that wasn't an issue at all. The property was gorgeous, our pups had a blast running around and checking everything out and it was nice to have such a big area to ourselves and not have to worry about anything besides the dogs having fun. As stated in other reviews there is a gravel processing area a little off in the distance, but our dogs didn't care much at all. One started heading that direction because she thought that's where we were headed, but we redirected and she was good to go. We will definitely be coming back!Cierra B.

55We love this property - it’s large and has enough variety, including open grassy areas and wooded areas, to keep us interested. This is our third visit and we really enjoy exploring the woods and my doggo loves doing the zoomies in the open field. We plan on coming back often. Bonnie B.

55We really enjoy this Sniffspot and had another great day here. Upon arrival we walked down the hill and into the open grassy area at which time we saw a deer. Needless to say my dog was all a twitter and gave chase immediately.
What a bonus! A bout of the zoomies was next on the agenda as we explored the area through the woods by the retaining ponds. Once in a while there was a dog barking in the distance but it was faint and it didn’t bother my dog. We love this spot - lots of room to run and explore!Bonnie B.

On this occasion, immediately after making our appointment she messaged me with new directions for parking which were clear and easy to follow. Overall, another five star experience!Bonnie B.

55This was our first Sniffspot, and it was well worth it! My dog is so happy off leash and loved being able to run and explore. I wasn’t 100% sure if we were on someone else’s property at one point, but there were no issues. There is a big field you can play fetch if your dog likes that, mine has never taken to it. I would go again.

55We love this spot and visit it frequently. It’s really pretty, large, and often there is wildlife. Since we have seen deer here my dog is always on the look out for them every time we visit. There is a new house being built next to the only visible neighbor so there was a little bit of construction noise. It didn’t bother my dog at all and generally I keep him towards the other side of the property anyway. Overall, we had another great visit. Bonnie B.

FAQ about our Lake Tapps dog fields
Are dog fields safe?
If you are looking for an adventure, but also looking for safety, Sniffspot dog fields are a great option. While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, distracted dog owners, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks are much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private space for just you and doggy friends you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). Especially for training, privacy is ideal. Contrary to public dog parks, all Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog for off leash exercise or outdoor training. 93% of reviews on Sniffspot visits are 5 stars, while public dog parks often do not even have verified reviews. All payment is done securely online by credit card in a few simple clicks.
How can I find dog fields in Lake Tapps?
There are 87 dog fields in the Lake Tapps area. The most popular dog field is Heavenly Hollow. You can browse all of our dog fields here.
How do I know if a dog field works for my dog?
All park rental information is available online. Start by filtering parks by fencing, size and distractions, to find a private spot that works for your dog. If your dog has poor recall, you can visit one of our secure fields. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our dog fields where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can review the details of the listing to make sure it works as your desired activity space, for example, safe dog exercise, dog training, a stress-free adventure with your furry friend or even a puppy event. You can even check the park amenities chart for amenities such as indoor training facilities, agility field, synthetic turf, exercise balls or field parking availability in advance. If inclement weather is an issue or poor field conditions, you can reschedule your visit up to 2 hours in advance.
What are the requirements to bring my dog to a Sniffspot dog field?
We require that all four-legged friends have basic vaccinations or equivalent titers. We do not allow dogs with a bite history. We require that guests sign our waiver and agree to follow our safety rules. Make sure to check host rules before visiting to ensure, for instance, that you are following allowable sports activities rules and any special events rules.
Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot field at the same time as me?
No. Facility rentals are for private play time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the area during visits, so this is perfect for a private adventure for you and your doggie friends, and perhaps a human friend. Hosts understand that many guests have dogs in training and are nervous owners. So when you book a Sniffspot dog field you have the entire private spot to yourself. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between time slots so you will not run into other guest dogs or a previous person when coming or leaving in the field parking area. Some hosts may have multiple fields, but there is always a buffer between fields.
