Great sniff spot! Lots of parking, washrooms, lots of toys/blankets, covered area/benches, agility obstacles, sand pit, poop bags/garbage. Fenced area somewhat away from the main part of the shelter so no dogs around but possibly could be. Close to the highway so wouldn't be good for dogs scared of traffic as it can be a little loud. Great spot to play ball or just for your dog to run around. Loves that the money goes to support the shelter ♡

Our first visit today. Nice friendly staff. Our 2 dogs enjoyed running and playing ball in a safely fenced area. It had a covered area to sit and a bucket of fresh water for the dog and a bucket of dog balls and toys, and a supply of poop bags. Nice clean bathroom inside the LAPS building for humans. Only negative is freeway noise. Bring towels for muddy feet as even though area has grass, dogs find mud.

We've been looking for something like this for a while and we were not disappointed. Our dog was able to play ball uninterrupted and it was such a nice space with a covered area, some agility pieces, toys, and a sandpit. Very clean and clear signage

The space was easily marked so we knew exactly where to go and there was zero interaction with other dogs. Everything was fully fenced and safe.
The space was clean with no dog poop lingering around, plus an obvious garbage can. We brought our own poop bags but also saw some extra ones available in case anyone forgot.
Our dog enjoyed sniffing all of the things and going up on some of the structures. We made use of one of the provided chuck-it balls and she had a great time.
There were trees surrounding the area so even if other dogs were in the parking lot, we weren't able to see them so definitely minimizes any trigger potentials for reactive dogs.
We had a nice time and would be happy to return :)

Fantastic spot! Very high secure fencing, clearly marked where to park and where to enter. Fresh water, poop bags and clean toys available. Nice covered area to sit and relax. Did not see or hear any other dogs during our time. Lots of time spent sniffing!! Highly recommend and will definitely be back!!

Perfect space - totally secure with enrichment items should the dogs want to use, I’m so grateful that you allow this space to be booked. I have a nervous-reactive rescue pup so we are limited with where we can walk and he rarely gets to be off leash, he had the most wonderful time with all the smells and the toys available and it made day to see him so happy.
It really is amazing what you do and what you are providing for sniffspace users.

My dogs had a blast
The rain shelter was nice to have a break from the rain
They loved the rock pit
There were tons of toys to play with
Benches to sit on
Water for the dogs
My daughter also enjoyed a cat snuggle inside afterwards
Fencing and area was safe and secure

Thank you so much LAPS for creating a beautiful, clean, and engaging space for puppies! My dogs had a great time at this spot and there were so many clean toys provided. There are washroom facilities in the rescue (for humans) and a sheltered seating area for rainy days when your dog still needs to get out. We loved it and we’ll be back!

We had such a great time at our Sniffspot at LAPS! The space was well-maintained, and my dogs loved exploring and jumping on the large equipment. There was a bin of clean toys available for use, along with fresh water and a clean towel—such a thoughtful touch! Everything was clearly marked and labeled, and the atmosphere was peaceful and quiet. It was so nice to have completely private, uninterrupted time with my dogs. They had a blast!

We had a great time at this Sniffspot! The designated parking spot and the entrance to the yard were easy to find and clearly marked. The yard was clean and had everything we needed for our dogs—towels, toys, poop bags, and a water bucket. We appreciated the "yard in use - do not enter" sign, which added extra security and helped ensure no one accidentally entered. It was especially reassuring since we have a reactive dog. Even though there were people coming and going from the nearby building, it was far enough away that our dogs didn’t notice. Overall, it was a relaxing and enjoyable visit. Highly recommend!

My 8 m/o Spoo had an absolute blast & spent the entire hour having zoomies & playing with the toys provided.
The Sniffspot was clean, well maintained & although there were some muddy areas, for the most part the ground was solid & had good traction.
The shelter was an absolute godsend as it was raining heavily the entire time we were there, but we didn't get wet at all & there were benches with blankets & a storage chest with clean towels, blankets, dog toys & poop bags.
There were also plenty of sticks, which my Spoo loved!

Our experience was fantastic! The LAPS staff were very responsive to us explaining that our pup is reactive and gave us wonderful directions on where to park and how to enter the spot for quick, easy access.
The spot itself is stocked with everything you need! Clean towels, a place for guardians to sit with a shelter for if it’s raining or very sunny. Our pup loved the agility setup available at the spot.
Our pup was busy sniffing as this place is well booked and busy. We will definitely be coming back. We appreciated the water left out for our pups, and there is a bin for any poop bags! We thought it was so thoughtful to leave poop bags for people to use as well.
Also-properly fenced!! Your escape artist (like ours) will NOT be able to get out! This was so relieving as we usually have to scope a sniffspot first for any potential holes in the fencing.
One thing: you are in direct view of the busy highway, so if your pup doesn’t like the sound of cars (ours doesn’t mind) it might not be a good fit for you!

We took two dogs and they had a blast. The parking and access were very clear, and the sniffspot itself was secure and tidy. It was a bit noisy being so close to the freeway. I appreciated the towels, the toys, and the clear spot for garbage disposal.
