Come for our glorious sunrises on the creek and sunsets in the fields or just to enjoy the day exploring the fields and creek. The dog area starts past the broken black fence behind the house and goes down through the fields and into the woods. I would appreciate it if you would kindly please keep the dogs leashes and wait until you are past the broken fence to allow your dog to do any business. If your dog is under control or if the horses are not out, you can let them loose right after the broken fence. If you think your dog might be nutty with the horses, please take appropriate measures. To get to the creek, go past the broken fence and keep going down the hill to the back tree line. I have included a map in the pictures. And then just keep walking; it’s about five minutes from the house to the trailhead. We have set out fluorescent yellow markers on the trees on the back tree line as you approach the trail. We also put up a blue sign that says “To The Creek” at the trail head. Once in the woods, walk down the steep hill and take the trail to the right at the bottom of the hill, before the little ravine. That trail will take you out to a spot where your dog can splash around and I’ve cut a few trails to explore back there. If you go to the red barn, you’ve gone too far. There is new home construction up at the top of the hill they have their own short black fencing around the homes, so just stay beyond the fence. Water pump and doggie bowls available outside near the front right side of the home in front of the outhouse. Trashcans are available at the side of the house across from the shed near the trampoline. There's a basketball hoop and 🏀 if interested in playing as well as some swings for kids closer to the house. Feel free to use it. Lastly, please use Google Maps for navigation instead of Waze as it's the most updated one for finding the property. The way to operate the water pump is to pull the lever up and all the way back and wait a few seconds and the water will come out the hose. PS- if you're ever running late or got lost and some of your paid time is used up please feel free to stay a little longer to make up for it if no one else is booked immediately after you.

Greene Lake Acres Private Dog Park In Stephens City

Welcome to Greek Lake Acres! We are located in Stephens City and we have 23 acres in total. About 5 acres are open grassy fields with an acre sized pond for swimming in the middle, surrounded by woods, complete with a few trails. Feel free to message me after booking for directions- GPS can sometimes try to take you through Lake Fredrick and you can NOT get to us from there. (Google GPS works best to find us) The lake is "swim at your own risk" as we do not have a life guard on duty. The water edge slopes so you can come out with ease. There is NO FISHING permitted in the pond. Again, there is no lifeguard on duty, dogs swim at the responsibility/risk of their owner. Picnic tables are available near the waters edge and also in the trees next to the pond for shade. On the picnic table we have some floating toys for retrieving and also some sanitary bags if you need any. We are pesticide and fertilizer free, so please make sure you have tick/flea preventative because ticks love the woods! We are not fenced in, so recall is very important. The neighbors do have dogs, some wander so friendliness is important. We have chickens who live in their coop, who will remain safe in their coop during your visit. The property does have an abundance of wild life, including but not limited to deer, turkey, geese, ducks, squirrels and fox, but they do not stay around humans or dogs. Parking is on the lake side driveway near the green sign (see photos) Please note we are often outside enjoying our property as well. If you look at the photos, we typically stay in the “red X” area. If we have guests, our dogs are secured in the house. We can’t wait to see you! My husband and I have a little peace of heaven here in the Shenandoah Valley! Our goal is to provide a space for all dogs to play, run and sniff away! We have a huge field with a platform/ramps, tug rope, agility poles, stick collection, hidden container with treats and possibly a prize toy! We host many special events for pups as well as birthday parties for your pups! I spent many years volunteering, fostering and ultimately adopting many animals from rescue non-profits over the years. Throughout all of the years I spent in animal rescues, I realized that most dogs don’t get much time outside of the kennels. I also came to understand that many rescue animals have trauma related behaviors and cannot integrate with other dogs. I feel so grateful to be able to provide a space for dogs to be off leash and have the freedom to explore! Also, it is a significant bonding experience for pups and their parents to have this special time together! Overall, it is fairly flat and dogs love to 𝙧𝙪𝙣 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙮 for hours at a time not to mention all the great sniffing spots. There are open areas for dogs to stretch their legs and chase each other and flowers, shade and seating for their human companion(s). There is a 𝙢𝙖𝙣-𝙢𝙖𝙙𝙚 𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙢 (more detail below) in the back that depending on rainfall, may be running full or just at a trickle. It is ideal for your pup to explore and cool off in. The yard offers plenty of great 𝙥𝙝𝙤𝙩𝙤 𝙨𝙥𝙤𝙩 opportunities to take tons of pictures throughout the various seasons. The yard is a 𝘾𝙚𝙧𝙩𝙞𝙛𝙞𝙚𝙙 𝙒𝙞𝙡𝙙𝙡𝙞𝙛𝙚 𝙃𝙖𝙗𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙩®, we are trying to help nature where and when we can. The flower beds have been designed for local critters - birds, turtles, pollinators, etc so absolutely no killing of any bees, butterflies, spiders, turtles, snakes, birds or other wildlife you may find. It also means you will likely encounter gnats, mosquitos and possibly ticks - all great bird food but not so nice for us humans and our pups. So please be sure your pup is current on their preventatives. We do provide bug spray for you to use - just be sure to use in the lawn and not near any of the flower beds. In the summer months grass may get a little taller to help out the fireflies. If you can, take a cool pic to share - we'd love to see it. Do a photo safari. 𝗩𝗔𝗖𝗖𝗜𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦: To help ensure a safe environment for visiting pups and our own, guests will need to provide current 𝘃𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗱𝘀 for rabies and DHPP (distemper, parvo, etc) for EACH dog visiting. Each dog visiting must have received their full round of puppy vaccines AND must be at least 6 months old. If you have questions, feel free to reach out. Once on file, you are good to go until their renewal date. If the vaccination info is not received 1 hour prior to your start time, your reservation will be cancelled. If you have questions, feel free to reach out. 𝗪𝗘𝗘𝗞𝗘𝗡𝗗𝗦 & 𝗛𝗢𝗟𝗜𝗗𝗔𝗬𝗦 - Typically set for 1 hour appointments and reserved for Members. If you are interested in an appointment longer than 1 hour, please reach out and we'll see if we can accommodate. 𝗦𝗡𝗜𝗙𝗙𝗣𝗔𝗦𝗦 - We don't offer expanded discounts but you will get the basic 10% discount if you are participating in the program. It can be used in conjunction with a Membership. Happy to answer any questions. 𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗠 - This is a man-made stream that that typically runs in the warmer months and is initially filled with either city water or rainfall. That said, Mother Nature adds to it so we do recommend your pup have his/her 𝙇𝙚𝙥𝙩𝙤 vaccine. The stream is usually shutdown or just a trickle in the winter months with some water remaining at the end to help support the frogs overwinter. Please do not allow digging or rough play in the stream - we want to keep it in good shape for all our guests to enjoy and avoid costly repairs. If it is important to your visit that the stream is running and at what level (full/trickle) please reach out to the Host to check its status. 𝗗𝗢𝗚 𝗟𝗜𝗠𝗜𝗧 - Our site is set for a 4 dog limit. If you would like to bring additional dogs, please send a message. The request will be considered on a case by case basis. If you want a key date/time, I recommend securing it with a reservation for one dog and then updating the reservation once we have talked. 𝗦𝗠𝗔𝗟𝗟 𝗗𝗢𝗚𝗦 - There are some spots at the bottom of the fence a small dog (cat size) might be able to get under - they are meant for our cats and other wildlife. If you are bringing a small dog, let me know and we can block the openings ahead of time. 𝗩𝗘𝗛𝗜𝗖𝗟𝗘 𝗟𝗜𝗠𝗜𝗧- Maximum of 2 vehicles per reservation. If a 3rd vehicle will be brought, please select and add "Extra F - Extra Vehicle" to your reservation and send us a note so we can make sure there is sufficient space. Leesburg Dog Park at Olde Izaak Walton Park

Users of the dog park do so at their own risk. Neither the Town of Leesburg, nor the Department of Parks and Recreation, or their authorized representatives, shall be liable for any injury or damage caused by any dog in the park. Use of this facility is at the sole responsibility of the user. The dog park is for dogs, their handlers, and those accompanying them. No other animal species, or other uses, are permitted. All dogs must be legally licensed and vaccinated and shall wear a visible dog license. Dogs under 4 months of age and female dogs in heat are prohibited. It is strongly recommended that dogs using this facility be spayed or neutered. Dogs must be on-leash when entering and exiting the dog park. Please ensure that gates are fully closed before taking dogs off leash. Dogs must be off-leash when inside the dog park (except for emergencies) and on-leash when outside the dog park fence. Dogs must be under the control of their handler and in view of their handler at all times. Spiked collars are prohibited. Dog grooming in the park is prohibited. Children 8 years and under are not allowed in the dog park. Children ages 9-15 must be accompanied by a handler. Handlers must be 16 years of age or older. Handlers must have possession of the dog leash at all times. Each handler is limited to a maximum of two dogs. Handlers must immediately “scoop the poop” and deposit in designated containers. Handlers must fill any holes dug by dogs under their control. Smoking, food, and drinks in glass containers are prohibited; training treats should be limited. Dogs must be removed from the dog park at the first sign of aggression. Handlers are responsible for any injuries caused by dogs they have brought into the dog park. Professional training of dogs without written permission from the Department of Parks and Recreation is prohibited. Newark Street Dog Park

DOG PARK RULES Usage of the Newark Street Dog Park is subject to the following Rules and Regulations, pursuant to DC Municipal Regulations (DCMR), Chapter 7, Title 19 (Amusements, Parks and Recreation): 1. When using the Dog Park, handlers shall ensure that each of the dogs within their control is wearing current tags as follows: (1) Rabies Vaccination tag, (2) DC Dog Registration tag. 2. The Dog Park is open only during posted hours (Mon-Fri 7 am to 9 pm and Sat-Sun and holidays 8 am to 9 pm Park closes at 7:30 p.m. in winter). 3. Handlers must not allow their dog(s) to enter the park if it is at the posted capacity (22 dogs). When capacity is reached within the Dog Park and others are waiting, handlers must limit their stay to thirty (30) minutes. 4. Handlers must leash dogs at all times except when they are inside the Dog Park. All dog(s) must be leashed when entering the dog park and prior to leaving the dog park. Spike and/or choke collars are not allowed on dogs in the Dog Park. 5. Handlers must (a) clean up after their dog(s); (b) control excessive barking; (c) never let their dogs out of their sight or vocal control; and (d) leash dogs at the first sign of aggression or unruliness. 6. The following are not allowed in the dog park: (a) Dogs that are in heat; (b) dogs under four months of age; and (c) dogs (and/or owners) who have been banned by the Newark Street Dog Park Board (d) dogs declared dangerous or potentially dangerous by the Government of the District of Columbia. 7. No more than three (3) dogs per handler are permitted at one time in the Dog Park. 8. Report all animal bites (regardless of severity) to the DC Animal Control at (202) 576-6664 within twenty-four (24) hours of the incident. 9. An attending adult must closely supervise all children under age sixteen (16). Please do not allow your children to run, climb the fences, jump on tables/benches,or otherwise instigate the dogs. Dogs can be unpredictable and we want your children to be safe. Other Newark Dog Park Rules: • Do not bring bikes, scooters, strollers, or any other wheeled vehicle/toy into the park. This rule does not apply to wheelchairs or other types of mobility aids. • Please do not bring children into the park if you do not have a dog with you. You are welcome to observe the dogs from outside and over the fence line. Violations of these rules may be reported to 911 or, for non-emergency matters, to info@newarkstreetdogpark.org. When reporting a violation, please be as specific as possible including the time and date, a description of the dog(s) and handler, and the nature of the violation.

Rules and Regulations Shirlington Dog Park, Arlington County • All dogs must be licensed and vaccinated before entering the Dog Park. • Both rabies vaccinations tags and Dog License tags are required to be secured on your dog at all times. • No dogs less than four (4) months of age shall be permitted in a Dog Park. • Female dogs in heat shall not be allowed in the Dog Park at any time. • A handler / guardian may bring in NO more than three (3) dogs at a time. • Handlers / guardians are responsible for removing dog waste from the Park and disposing it in a proper receptacle. • Handlers / guardians must remain with their dog(s) and be in view of their dog(s) at all times. • Dogs shall be removed from the Dog Park at the first sign of aggression. • Aggressive dogs shall not be permitted within any designated dog park. An “aggressive dog” is defined as a dog posing a threat to humans or other animals. • Handlers / guardians are legally responsible for their dog(s) and any injury caused by them. • No food is allowed within boundaries of the Dog Park. • No bicycles or scooters are allowed to be ridden in the Dog Park. • Businesses or professional dog trainers may not use any Dog Park for the conduct of their business, unless sponsored by Arlington County. • Dogs must be leashed when entering and exiting the Dog Park. • Handlers / guardians must be in possession of their dog’s leash at all times. • Handlers / guardians shall not allow their dogs to bark on a continuous or frequent basis. • Handlers / guardians shall fill in any holes dug by their dogs prior to leaving the park. • Grooming or washing your dog is not allowed in the Dog Park, unless it is part of a County sponsored program. • Parents must be in control of their children at all times and not allow them to run or antagonize dogs in the Dog Park. • The unauthorized posting or distributing of any materials at the Dog Park or on County property is strictly prohibited. • Violations of the leash law, running at large law and not picking up after your dog can result in a summons to appear in court and a $100.00 fine. Park Rules & Regulations Dogs are welcome in public parks that are not designated as a dog exercise area, but they are to be kept secured by a leash. The leash may be removed from a dog on private property provided that the owner or person in control of such private property has permitted such dog to be present without a leash. For the enjoyment of City residents and their dogs, the following rules apply at the Dog Parks and Exercise Areas: • Unless otherwise posted, dog parks and areas are open from sunrise to sunset. • All dogs must be under their handlers' control. • Only three dogs per handler are allowed. • Dogs must be on leash when entering and exiting the park. Each handler must have a leash in hand at all other times. • No dogs in heat are allowed. • Only dogs four months and older are allowed. • Dogs must be legally licensed, vaccinated, and wearing both current tags. • Handlers must keep their dogs in view at all times. • Any bite occurring to a person or dog must be immediately reported to Alexandria Animal Control. Persons and dogs involved must wait for an officer to respond, except when immediate medical care is needed. • Unleashed dogs must remain within the boundaries of the dog exercise area as defined by bollards. • Handlers must immediately pick up all feces and dispose of them in trash receptacles. • Aggressive dogs (defined as dogs posing a threat to human beings or other dogs) are not allowed at any time. Handlers are legally responsible for their dogs and any injury or damage to facilities caused by them.
