55This was a fun spot! Lots to explore. On the way in, we did have to walk through the area that the goats, cows, and chickens are. The dogs didn't seem to mind the first time, but on our way back through they were definitely a bit more fixated. Some of the trails ended with no warning and others looped around. It was quiet and peaceful and one dog enjoyed his dip in the river.Jenna H.

55We just visited beautiful Spring Acres with our two older dogs and our new 13 week old puppy. This was my second visit after being introduced to the place by a friend recently. I was determined to return soon with our canine gang! The owner met us upon arrival and kindly oriented us to the area; we then headed off on our own excited to explore! The weather was sunny but cool with scattered snow still on the ground; the creek was running fairly high. Given the delightful layout of the natural wooded property with its trails and little bridges that traverse the hillside, our doggies were able to clamber and explore happily until they were good and tired (and a bit muddy!) The magical trails open up to various level meadows where the dogs could romp and chase each other freely (the snow patches provided a new experience for our pup!). Our hour flew past! We headed home with three tired happy dogs after a delightful time in nature! Thank you!Barbara T.

55Wow what a great day. First the hosts are super, they met us on the drive in and walked us through the pasture, past the goats, chickens and cows to the trail area. The property is so fun, bridges over creeks, trails up, down and around. Our puppy had the best time, and therefore so did we. Melissa F.

55Really spectacular Sniffspot. We have been here many times and it's always awesome. John & Stephanie are such wonderful people and always make us feel right at home. The trails are so much fun to explore and the creek is a huge bonus for pups that love water or just need a quick drink. A beautiful setting, very peaceful and we feel totally safe here so can thoroughly enjoy our time without a care in the world. If I could give this place 10 stars, I would! ♥Susan D.

55This is nearly the perfect Sniff Spot for what my dogs enjoy! There is a large grassy area when you first enter the Sniff Spot which is partially shaded and level allowing for the pups to chase their ball or just relax in the soft grass. From the grassy area, you'll cross a bridge over a creek where the dogs enjoyed splashing around and cooling down on a hot day. Beyond that, there are numerous well maintained trails leading through the forested area and back down to another creek area. The area is not entirely fenced so you'll want to keep an eye on your dogs. We all got a lot of exercise from running up the trails and appreciated that there were several spots where we could just sit and relax when we needed a break. John and Stephanie were such wonderful hosts and welcomed us as friends. We drove over an hour from Seattle to get there but it was well worth the drive and will definitely plan on coming back here. I advise good footwear that you won't mind getting wet. Jill C.

55This was my second trip there and I already have a 3rd planned. The owners of this property are so nice and friendly and honestly will do everything the can to make your visit enjoying. I was still amazed at this place with the well maintained trails. We even discovered a couple new ones. It actually looks like the owners may be working on a couple more just to make the adventure more interesting for the pups to explore.
Having a couple open fields make it great for you to play with your dogs, or in my case since they are older dogs I can run with them back and forth to get their (and my) exercise. Didn't bring a toy? .....believe me...the one pup had no problem finding sticks that you can toss around and even into the creek for a "splash through the creek when they retrieve it. The creeks are awesome little spots throughout where the dogs can dip in and get a nice cool drink.
The owners have made a great little bench that can fold down to alittle picnic table if you wanted to have a nice little picnic as well. There is shaded and sunny areas. You have the place to yourself with no other dogs or people around. The drive out to this nice farm is beautiful as well.
You just can't go wrong with this place, and I can't wait to go back. Its a wonderful experience for both you and your pets.
Thank you owners Stephanie and John!!Linda G.

55Our dogs had the time of their lives, running through the creek and woods, wrestling and doing “zoomies” in the open fields, and resting at the seating areas conveniently found around the several acres (ok, maybe the resting was more for the people!). It was a very warm day, but it was so comfortable wandering through the wooded areas and playing in the water. John and Stephanie were so nice and welcoming. Since it was our first time there, John showed us all around the areas where the dogs could roam and assured us that we wouldn’t get lost (and he was right!). Be sure to wear sturdy shoes to climb up wooded, hilly pathways and maybe bring a walking stick if you aren’t so sure-footed. We will be coming back to this Sniffspot!Linda D.

55We have been to Spring Acres several times now and we absolutely love it! To begin with, the hosts, John and Stephanie are really warm and welcoming and they are there to greet us each time. John walks us through the pasture past their livestock and because I have a reactive dog, I was really worried about it at first. However, it went very well and it gets easier each time. The area past the pasture includes a grassy area by a creek - a great place to play fetch and romp in the water. Past the creek is several acres of wooded trails which are a blast to explore with your pooch at your side (or in my case, he’s way down the trail in front of me!) It seems like we find a new trail each time too. The trails are nicely maintained but are quite hilly and do have some muddy spots. Be prepared with good walking shoes and to get a good workout. Even though the area isn’t fully fenced most of the property has natural borders like blackberries and other underbrush that keep the property well contained. The property is completely private too and there is no risk of running into other people or dogs so it is a perfect place to exercise a reactive dog. I am so grateful we found this place - now I don’t have to worry about getting my dog enough exercise and stimulation. Overall, a great Sniffspot for a reactive pooch (or any pooch for that matter.)Bonnie B.

I hope to book as many visits as possible through the fall and winter. I will always be a repeat customer to this awesome "Sniff Spot". Beautiful and a perfect place for my boys! Thank you.Linda G.

Are dog hiking trails safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, inattentive owners, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks are much safer than a city or county park. With a Sniffspot off-leash area all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 93% of reviews on Sniffspot visits are 5 stars. Our hiking trails tend to be outside the city, which lends to more privacy, but it is also important to follow typical hiking safety precautions, such as potentially having trail maps.
