30 unfenced acres of tall grass and trees a bit swampy in the lower area in the winter. But quiet and lovely. Lots of fruits you are welcome too in the summer and fall. Also home to deer and birds (who prefer to be left alone). Couple of comfy chairs and a table to enjoy a glass with the sunset. Please be respectful of our neighbors, and pick up after your selves and your pups. Much of the property is being reforested please do not disturb the trees and shrubs.

Loved it! Your own private slice of Forest Park. Looking forward to going back. Really beautiful property that slopes down to a lovely creek, with plenty to sniff along the way. Hosts have clearly put a lot of thought and effort into making this welcoming and fun. The main trails are well graded, wide and clearly maintained with rainy days in mind. Recommend still wearing sturdy shoes - especially if you plan to go on side trails. (There's a map at the parking area of the trails and then they have marked them along the way!) This also looks to be a well shaded location for when summer arrives. The property has clear boundaries but not a literal fence the whole way like a dog park. It was sufficient to keep my adventurous hound from following her nose too far astray. For Reactive Dogs: This was really private and once you get past the parking area, there really isn't an opportunity to see other people, cars, etc - truly is private. One of the dogs with us was reactive to strangers and the hosts were really accommodating to his needs. But really, the place is private enough there aren't going to be other people or dogs walking past - even where you park. Looking forward to visiting again!

Great spot. We were able to do all the trails. It is really muddy right now and would reccommend wearing shoes with traction and are waterproof. Very easy to navigate around the property with the pink flags.

Magical private hiking spot! Well maintained and clearly marked trails. At a brisk walk, can cover the current trails in 30-40 mins, but plenty of fun meandering, doubling around, or enjoying one of the benches too. Recommend either very reliable recall or a long line, as there are sheep, neighbors in view from the trail. Wonderful spot and will return!

A little of everything for dogs to enjoy. The trails with wooden signs and benches was a fun touch. Izzy had fun trying each one, but her favorite attraction was the stream and small river. My only suggestion might be to put a fenced path thru the first barn yard with the animals rather than just have dogs on a leash. Izzy just wanted to meet and play with the goats, rabbits and chickens but a reactive strong dog would be too hard to hold back. Next time I will either bring my slip leash or park in top so I don't have to walk her thru the animals. 🤔

We come here a lot and always have such an amazing time. John & Stephanie are the absolute best hosts imaginable and the Sniffspot is a dog's dream. We are always discovering something new here. I find 2 hours gives us just enough time to explore all the trails, splash in the creek and play. My boy leaves very happy after every visit and is completely content the rest of the day. Amazing Sniffspot! At the very top there is no enclosure, otherwise the area is secured by either fencing or very thick tall brush. We feel completely safe here. When we first arrived John came Outside and gave us a full tour of the property to ensure we didn’t get lost. My dogs absolutely love this area, they can swim and run until they drop and they even got to say hi to some goats. Not only do my dogs love this area, but I do as well. Such an amazing experience for my pup and for us! So much land for them to roam freely, jumping around the creeks and pretty waterfalls and running everywhere!! My puppy got to meet the goats and the cows they had there. They even helped spray off my dogs legs & dried him off before we let him back in the car. Great spot. We have visited before, but brought a friend this time. John is extremely welcoming and the property is lovely. It was wet with the recent rain, but other than a small water crossing you were able to stay pretty clean and dry.

Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot hiking trail at the same time as me?

Sniffspot only allows one booking at a time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the spot during visits. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between bookings.
