55This was a really great spot for me and my dog. We are working on search sports so there were plenty of places to hide and find me. Between doing that and the nice little hike, it was just right for an hour. Leslie M.

55Sapphire is a wonderland of hiking trails and gorgeous scenery. I almost don’t want to write a review because once everyone goes it’ll be booked out forever. If you do decompression walks with your dogs, this is exactly what you’ve been looking for. My pup and I both had a fantastic time.
Exceptionally easy parking, complete with an adorable farm stand. The entire property is well-maintained, with well-marked trails. It wouldn’t surprise me if the folks running this had trail maintenance experience. Great covered seating area that stayed dry despite the rain. It was misty when we went, and being able to take a dry seat and towel myself and my pup off before heading out was wonderful.
Bring your hiking boots, and yaktrax if it’s wet & muddy. This isn’t a tennis shoe trip. You’ll also want to carry water/snack for yourself and your pup because going back to the car is all uphill all the way, and you’re going to want to stay below and explore.
Go. Your pup will thank you. Abigail B.

55First time at this spot and it was very lovely! We were able to explore all of the trails and still had time to relax at the meadow. Parts are steep, both up and down, but it felt good to get the blood pumping. Dogs loved running and I loved not worrying at every corner. Will definitely be back!Jennifer P.

55My goodness! We are so grateful to the owners and caretakers of this space for sharing it with all of us. It was such a blessing to get to watch my leash reactive pups be free and get to be themselves on the trails. Mom got a workout too! And we got to hear so many beautiful birds— swainsons thrush, lazuli bunting, spotted towhee, song sparrows, and stellar jays. What a wonderful time spent with my lovely creatures in a beautiful piece of the forest. We will be back! 🐾🌳🏔️Natasha H.

55I am so grateful to have learned that businesses like this exist. My dogs well socialized and well-trained, including trained to be off leash, But there are so few places I can take them where they can be off leash and not be fenced in.They won’t play in dog parks, they stand around and guard me even when we’re surrounded by dogs and people they are very familiar with. We visited Sapphire Point for the first time this morning and will most definitely come back again and again. This was perfect. They loved running on the trails, exploring the forested areas, and playing with two of their friends in the Meadow. Thank you for sharing this beautiful property. Kimberly B.

55Great little meadow for fetch and well marked trails for exploring! I felt safe having my excitable dog off leash even though it wasn’t fully fenced. The remote, quiet atmosphere made it so the only distractions for him was a little wildlife scurrying around in some bushes (fun for my terrier to sniff out!). The clear trail markers and partial fencing helped us stay in bounds and feel confident we wouldn’t bother others. We will FOR SURE be back for more remote collar training, and unbounded sniffing and fetch time for my anxious dog. It was beautiful seeing him free to explore without the anxiety of busy public trails and parks. The viewing spot bench, chirping birds, and idyllic country road drive out there were the icing on the cake for the humans. A beautiful property, great location, clear signage and variety of sights and smells made our visit 10/10.Kristin F.

55Beautiful and well managed trails! The trails down to the creek are steep and the creek may be seasonal but my dogs for sure found the mud from the creek! There are convenient rest areas/benches and seats throughout the trail for those who need to catch their breath or rest their feet.Christian D.

FAQ about our Beaverton dog hiking trails
Are dog hiking trails safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, inattentive owners, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks are much safer than a city or county park. With a Sniffspot off-leash area all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 93% of reviews on Sniffspot visits are 5 stars. Our hiking trails tend to be outside the city, which lends to more privacy, but it is also important to follow typical hiking safety precautions, such as potentially having trail maps.
How do I know if a dog hiking trail works for my dog?
Sniffspot provides the tools to find the ideal spot. Start by applying basic filters, such as fencing 6 feet tall and distractions, to find a dog park with trails that works for your dog. You can also filter by size if you are looking for a certain acre park, an expansive off-leash dog park. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our fully fenced dog hiking trails. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our dog hiking trails where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. Since you are looking for trails, make sure to check photos to see if it the spot has flat trails or gnarly trails. You can also browse by specific amenities, if you are looking for a view or a beach, for instance, or other activities or fun features. You can check whether the spot has off or on street parking, the regular park hours, whether it has paved trails or a modern restroom.
What are the requirements to bring my dog to a Sniffspot dog hiking trail?
In order to hike the trails, we require that all dogs have basic vaccinations or equivalent titers. We do not permit dogs with a bite history. We require that guests sign our waiver and agree to follow our safety rules.
Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot hiking trail at the same time as me?
Sniffspot only allows one booking at a time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the spot during visits. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between bookings.
How much do Sniffspot hiking trails cost?
