Hi! I'm Sami Micelli and I help manage my family's micro farm on the West coast in Canada. My frenchie canine bestie was Billie and our Sniffspot is named after her. She passed away in February suddenly and our yard is missing that lovely dog energy! If you are looking for a private fenced yard for dogs on Vancouver Island, you have the perfect place! The yard is green in the spring, summer & fall. It's rainy and grey in the winter but still a charming outdoor spot for dog exercise, play and relaxation. Indoor bookings are currently not available. I'm constantly trying to improve the yard and make it more and more beautiful every week! I'm very proud of all the different trees, flowers, paths, biomes in this one yard. I hope that you'll come and see for yourself. I'm fine with folks smoking "grass" just please no cigarettes. You can park your car in my driveway and there is a gate with signage leading you to the yard. You'll never have parking issues here. IMPORTANT: If your dog is sensitive/reactive to other dogs our neighbor has a dog on the other side of the fence that comes out every once and a while. It's a strong and tall fence. Most they can do is Boop noses between the boards. That being said the dog is very friendly and only wants to sniff and say hi. I have never heard him bark or be aggressive towards another dog. I just want to make a note as I know some people need this information. I have also noticed that the dog is usually inside during regular working hours. I have attached images of the dog and how much room is between the fence boards.

The option to train around sheep/goats and chickens is also available or can be put away if you prefer. We have a small schnoodle puppy that can be apart of the visit or away according to your preference . We do have free ranging chickens(can be put away if requested). Enjoy your visit!

There are a lot of smells and a good space to let out their zoomies. The entrance is in the rear of the house. The signs will show you the way. Please ensure the gate is closed at all times.

When you book, we put the kids, dogs, and chickens away! There is a side gate entrance to the side yard via Chamberlayne Avenue, with free street parking. Grass, garden, deck, and water feature provide interesting spots to play in and explore.

The area available is not fenced and is 3.5 acres, situated entirely off the road. The main play space is an heirloom apple orchard with 25+ beautiful old gnarled trees in an unmowed meadow. My own reactive dog loves to spring through the tussocks and uses the trees like an obstacle course. Beyond the meadow is 3.5 acres of hawthorn scrub that’s great for dogs, but not easily human-penetrable. Perfect for letting adventurous dogs have a solo romp if they have good recall.
